I’ve been watching prices on a few short cruises in the early summer and almost always the Port Canaveral prices are slightly (like $30 pp) above Miami for basically the same cruise. But today I am now seeing Port Canaveral for Over $200 higher than Miami for those same cruises. Anyone else noticing this?  Any ideas what is going on?

Port fees could be higher in PC. The distance is further to Nassau/CocoCay from PC compared to Miami?

Maybe health screening protocols are costing more in PC than Miami where RC has their own terminals?

Just blame it on COVID lol

Hard to say at this point what anything means...I wouldn't say anything right now is a trend or a reason for it based on how up in the air things will be from now till cruising gets back to some kinda normalcy.

Port Canaveral is also more convenient for a lot of people that fly in for their cruise (orlando vs Miami)

Interesting.  We look at it as the opposite.  It's much easier to fly to Miami or Fort Lauderdale as the airports are much closer to the port....plus they are a bit cheaper for us compared with Orlando  (But we have around the same number of flights going to all 3 locations so maybe that is the difference)

Orlando just does so much more traffic because so many more airlines fly there. Miami isnt even in top 10 (stats from 2019)
