Cakelady
How exactly does debarkation work? Does Royal give you a set time to leave the ship and if so, do you have to adhere to that time?
melski94
You need to be out of your room by 8 am. Everything closes around 9ish and they will start pushing the last passengers off the ship around 9:30/10. Yes you have to adhere to the time as people are waiting for the following cruise to board. PG Cruiser
You have adhere to the time especially if you have luggage to claim at the port. Some guests debark before their designated time and have to wait for their bags at the pickup area.
melmar02
You can also self disembark if you need to be off the ship early. They are called first, but you have to carry all of your luggage off yourself.
sabarwolf
Self-disembarkation is definitely the fastest way to go when getting off (as mentioned, the trade-off is that you have to carry your bags off the ship). If you choose for the crew to carry off, you have to put your bags out the night before and they will give you tags to find your bags. (Make sure to leave clothes for the next day if you're having the crew take your bags, otherwise you're walking off in your PJs. )

Mike P
I always self disembark, I wait till the tail end of the designated timeframe and there's no line. Mikeb1892
