And I have been thinking if I can do four weeks on a ship.

My son (16 and 5'11) slept on the sofa/bed for our Navi trip in March and fit.
I am trying for people on this blog to start posting pictures of staterooms.  Just think if we include a picture of the sofa bed in sleep mode, how helpful it would be.  Just a thought.

I sure will post some pictures when we get back.  We can't wait till the Harmony only 40 short days.  We are celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and the kids aren't coming because of school.  Actually, this will be the first time since they were born we are leaving them for more then two days.  It will be very weird.  
 
I hope my new posting of staterooms photos takes off.  I certainly take many factors when picking a stateroom and I think pictures help.

This is why I am try to get more people to post pictures of the staterooms on this site.  I have a thread titled "Pictures of Staterooms" and this is what I propose.
 
And when people post pictures of staterooms specifically the threads should be consistent with wording to make it easy to search.  For Example,

2S Central Park Interior View 9177.  Has anyone sailed in this type of stateroom?

Also, I am sailing as a solo!!

I know this may seem like a little stretch, but the self leveling pool tables are amazing.  My kids learned how to play on the Serenade.  I wish they were on other class ships.

So I am currently booked for the March 8th sailing on the Oasis with my son who will be on Spring Break.  I am also booked for the March 22nd sailing with my wife and daughter because her break is during that time frame.  My goal is to sail on the March 15th cruise which would make it a B2B2B!   I have a couple feelers out to some friends who have shown some interest.  God I hope it Happens!   ?  Cross Your Fingers for Me!!!!

Who's ready to Go?

I have seen on the Cruise Compass information about so called S2S cruisers.  Most likely the Empress will be at Pier E and Navi at Pier A.  They should provide bus trans between piers.

So I just got off work 3/2/20 so I could sailing on the 3/1/20 sailing as well but I think the locks on the house would be changed by my wife when I got home after four weeks on the Oasis!  lol

It's Official, booked the missing link to my B2B2B today.  Sailing three weeks on the Oasis starting 3/8/20.  I am sure that many on this blog have experienced this amazing opportunity but I feel pretty luck to do it at 50.  Now let's pray for a great cabin as I did Interior Guar!  I am on deck 12 mid in a CPB for 3/8 and deck 8 aft OVB for 3/22.

We were on the Odyssey for Christmas next year but changed it to the Oasis so we can do b2b Christmas/new-years for just a little more.  I hope they keep her in port everglades for some time so I can sail on her!!!

I loved Radiance on our Alaska cruise (I've also sailed Jewel and Brilliance in the same class). It's not going to be as elaborate as the big ships (or as complicated, really), but it's a lovely ship and wasn't considered that small until Oasis class came along. It's not much shorter than Mariner and is nearly 50% longer than Empress, the smallest one. Yet you won't have to do as much walking as on the longer ships. I felt like all I did was get my exercise on Independence. Radiance is a great ship to see the water on. I particularly enjoy the outside seating at the back of the Windjammer.

Sailed Adventure many times, most recent being a b2b last month.  She is very well maintained and the crew is really one of the best.  Back again in April !
 

Radiance class are nice small ships.  They don't have newer innovations such as a zip line or bumper cars, adult water slides or ice skating rinks but these ships were originally built to offer more interesting itineraries and reach ports that big ships cannot.   They have a wonderful indoor adult only solarium as well as a small movie theater.  They offer the regular Royal activities such as trivia and bingo so all the normal things going on around the ship. 
Radiance normally offers some of the best Alaska itineraries and on Hawaii routes she is able to visit some additional ports that larger ships on these routes cannot.  

Our son was around 6 when he really remembered cruising!  We have so many great memories cruising as a family and we will continue to do so!  Our kids always wanted to spend time with us vs Adventure Ocean, and wouldn't give that up for the world!  Introduce them to some of the classic cruise activities, shuffle board, ping pong, mini golf and cards!  Family time is where it's at!
