  1. For US sailings yes, per: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/if-need-an-rt-pcr-test-before-i-cruise-where-should-i-go More on Abbott Brand Tests We get a lot of questions about Abbott tests, the most commonly available COVID-19 test brand. Here’s what’s accepted. Any Abbott brand test administered on site by a pharmacy technician or other health professional is accepted. This includes the common Abbot ID NOW test administered by many pharmacies. The test provider must provide you with a proper results document (no handwritten notes).
  2. Trying to remember myself. I could have sworn blue towels had been left at least for the loungers in the past. In September on Allure (2BR ATS) some were left the night before CocoCay. Can't recall if any had been left for the loungers. Also think on Allure you could "order" towels. However, I'm not sure if this was for the CocoCay stop only or not. Normally in the past if you were in a full suite you could get towels from the station onboard without getting your card scanned.
  3. Check the email for the bid confirmation. Should be a "modify/cancel" button.
  4. FYI, on the same sailing: RoyalUp bids that I've made have moved to expired with one pending. Unable to cancel.
  5. Sure the Genie has a default selection to pre-stock. Once onboard and the first meeting the exact specifications can be made. Only catch would be anything that wasn't stocked onboard. I know on Symphony 2018 we had a default stock in addition to some of the exact requests. Allure 2021 none of the standard stuff, only what had been requested. Feeling is the various juices are in the default setup. Don't ever recall asking for apple juice on Symphony. Same would apply for the some of the sodas (Coke, Orange, Sprite). Now thinking about it beer might not be stock item to keep it kid safe.
  6. For me it usually has been around 4 weeks out from sailing for the actual Genie. Can't recall time-line for the pre-cruise survey. Maybe two months.
  7. For Symphony my thoughts would be Hooked or 150 Central Park. 150 Central Park if your preference is a more upscale dining experience. Hooked if you enjoy seafood.
  8. I'll add this to the mix in favor of parking on-site... It is a great feeling having a porter hauling all the luggage to your vehicle. Then only have to deal with handling/loading luggage once. Plus if the weather isn't the best your not dealing with luggage in the rain. Heck, not dealing with luggage with the sun beating down in the summer in nice too.
  9. Soda package and excursions will be refunded. If not cancelled before the Cruise Planner is locked prior to sailing it will be refundable onboard credit. Anything unused will either be refunded to the credit card used at check-in or cashed out at Guest Services the last night. Cruise fare, the taxes, fees, and port expenses will be refunded plus pre-paid gratuity if applicable. Not sure how the actual refunded process works for that part. Cruise fare portion would be forfeited if cancelled less than 14 days prior to sailing. Also if insurance was purchased. Check the policy if it has a cancel for any reason clause. Don't think Cruise With Confidence would be applicable. Think it has to be the entire booking cancelled.
  10. If I'm recalling the fridge had a mini-bar menu that you could order cans of soda from. No clue if it has returned due to restrictions on who is allowed to enter your stateroom. Added: Keep in mind you'll have to pay for items ordered from the mini-bar menu. They are not covered by any beverage package.
  11. Anywhere between $8 and $13, plus 18% gratuity. Kraken, Malibu, and Myers's run $9 while Pyrat runs $13.
  12. No app, they would have to answer the questions during the arrival process. If I'm recalling when sailing on Allure I was asked if any of my health questions had changed. This was after entering the terminal, prior to security screening and getting the vaccination band. In theory you could sail completely without a device. Just have to watch the safety video in room before visiting the muster station. No clue what the policy is now if pre-cruise none of the check-in process is completed/no SetSail. Wonder how that would work not selecting a check-in/health screening time.
  13. No need for the cup except for use in the Freestyle machine. Normally the soda will be from the fountain or some cases a 2 liter bottle. For varieties that might be can only they might only fill a glass and not hand over the can. If something is available fountain or 2 liter they typically won't use the canned version.
  14. Think it comes down to if 150 Central Park is your style of cuisine. It might be worth a shot to give 150 a try, some people love it while others hate it. Remember 150 is an exclusive to Oasis class. My thought would be looking over the Coastal Kitchen menus in the Royal app and seeing if one of the nights doesn't "look good". If you come across one, look at booking that night for 150. Otherwise take advantage and book Coastal Kitchen for all the nights.
  15. I wouldn't trust that statement. With the two being separate I doubt booking sushi will hold you a seat at hibachi. I'd still verify having a hibachi reservation once onboard. As someone mentioned in a previous post I'm sure the inability to book hibachi online has to do with needing to verify proof of vaccination status. Another test of this theory would be the ability to book Chef's Table, another vaccination only dining, via the Cruise Planner. On my upcoming Harmony sailing neither Chef's Table or Izumi Hibachi are available. Was the same with my Allure sailing back in September. Sailings I have in January and beyond have the ability to book online.
  16. From what I recall we didn't get any information about the landtour timeline until either we were on the bus heading to the hotel or at the hotel when getting the welcome speech. This was the last page of the guide. Shows leaving Anchorage for Seward at 2PM. Keep in mind this was from 2014, I'm sure things might have changed a touch.
  17. Johnny Rockets: No Sorrento's: Yes Ben and Jerry's: No, also excluded from beverage or dining packages.
  18. If I'm not mistaken Nassau was never a stop. Antigua, St. Thomas, and CocoCay.
  19. Correct, general policy with the dining package is if the restaurant is open you can use it. In the case of Allure the only place where the credit is of any concern is Izumi. Sushi side you get a $35 credit and on the hibachi side you get a $35 credit, you'll end up paying and extra $10 or $15 depending on what you order. All other restaurants would otherwise be a single fee and covered in whole by the package. Only places that wouldn't be covered is Chef's Table, Vintages, and any dining experiences (example the Sushi and Sake pairing).
  20. Cabanas are pre-assigned in advance. Rumor indicates they are assigned based on when the cabana was booked. No idea if that is accurate or not. Some reinforcement to being assigned in advance is your party's name is written on a little chalk board attached to the cabana. If you had a particular cabana in mind I've heard some cases where the Shore Excursions desk can relay the request. Other reports have been "You get what you get".
  21. Had success asking back in September, no clue if Star class had any impact. No idea how it ends up getting coordinated with the CocoCay team. One complaint I have, the map for the cabanas is inaccurate. Will be great once an updated aerial/satellite view makes it way online. Much more of a laid back experience. While the concierge can handle dining requests the level of attention isn't the same. Nothing compares to sending a message to your Genie and then things just happen. Having the beverage and dining packages will provide some of the benefits. Still won't get the flexibility of having what ever you want delivered promptly or at a scheduled time.
  22. Have to purchase onboard for the discount.
  23. Two 24 hour periods of Voom Surf or ~$40 off a package. Corrected info: Discount would be $51.98 off a package.
  24. In addition the mini bar in Beach Club cabana did have canned soda. So maybe the Beach Club's bar would have it as well. I just can't recall seeing canned soda elsewhere. Then again I was never really looking.
  25. When you purchase the refreshment package an extra 18% will be charged. This extra amount is the gratuity and is shared among the bartenders. If the package was $28 a day, you'd be charged $33.04 a day once the gratuity was added. Ask for a beverage, they might as if you have a beverage package or it might be indicated in the system. Your SeaPass card will also have a sticker or "RR" to indicate the refreshment package. This is accurate, 2 liter bottles are used. Not 100% sure on the availability of canned soda on CocoCay. You can get non-alcoholic frozen drinks on CocoCay. The signature drink on the island is the Coco-loco and can be made without alcohol. Beyond soda and frozen drinks I'm not sure what else would be available.
