September 9...and the total was $1372.
@tonyfsu21 i was convinced that host was incompetent. I always get a free cruise cert and he provided me a $400 off cert. I didnt care about the discount but i am/was concerned he impacted my tier qualification

After reading Tony and Raye's updates I feel much better. That host on Enchantment should be fired in my opinion. It sounds like the ruined many peoples cruise. I personally have always had problems with the hosts on Enchantment. It seems to me they put their least experienced and unfriendliest hosts on Enchantment for some reason. I'm very glad to hear that Tony got a refund. I hope that if I call club Royale this week they will know what my tier is I'm just dying to know lol

I hope so.  It pains me when new cruisers and/or those new to RC want to go on Enchantment or Majesty first.  There's nothing wrong with them, per se, but they aren't glowing examples of the best RC offers.

Tony, just can’t help but think that this is a piss-poor host that doesn’t want to do any work to find out the truth.  I cannot believe that after ALL we’ve been promised about the new program that they would tell, you, “so sorry.  After unpteen years of loyal patronage and 10’s of thousands of dollars wagered you’re going back to the same level as a first time cruiser who has never stepped foot in a Casino Royale before.”  This has me very concerned.  Like Stephanie, the most important perk for us is the waiving of the convenience fee.  We do not bring cash with us. We get our cash from the casino and play with their money.  If they tell us what they told Tony, it will truly ruin our cruise.  Will know tomorrow!  Better luck tonite, Tony. I would certainly push this all the way.  I can’t believe they are correct.

I find the slots to be much "tighter" on ships because they are not regulated or have any rules to follow like in Vegas and AC. I have been to Vegas and AC lots of times and win on the slots there way more than on a cruise ship. However, some people do win big on cruise ship slots I just don't think its the norm. I personally stick to blackjack when I am on ships as I tend to win more on that than slots. Now if I am trying to get that balcony certificate and I am a few points shy I play some slots because its easier to earn points that way.

Well Yes, but I also WIN... so I can spend $2,000-$3,000 and walk away with $10,000... I did this on Allure last summer... They really care about Average bet and time spent in the casino... When I was on Allure last summer I was on a huge Roll... I was doing so well one night I was spending $300 a hand for hours which really helped my average bet.. That cruise I was doing so well I was spending about 10 hours a day in the casino and the pit boss was joking with me that I spend more time in the casino then him lol. So bottom line they don't care if you Win. They care how much you wager and how long you spend per day gambling

I keep calling until I get an answer I want too!  We recently booked a 2 Bedroom Royal Family Suite for 4 of us.  I called to get the casino rate (no certificates) and one person said it was going to be $6,000 (normal website price was $7400).  I say no way.  I call back a few days later and get a different person.  He puts me on hold for a bit and comes back and says $2,500 for the four of us.  He said if the other couple could prove that they gambled on land he could do better.  They don't gamble at all so we paid the $2,500.  I think an almost $5,000 discount off this type of suite was a big win!!

Just thought I would share a recent experience I had with Club Royale... Just so you know I have been a member since 2011 and even though they have changed dramatically its how I still book all my cruises... So I am already going on the June 29th Mariner cruise that I booked using certificates from Club Royale. My other friends said they wanted to go on the July 13th Mariner sailing and would I like to go. Well I currently don't have any certificates to use as I am also going on the July 21 Harmony sailing so I told my friends I would call Club Royale and if they can give me a decent deal I will do it. So I called this morning and asked what kind of "Casino Rate" I could get on this Mariner sailing. The man said do you have any certificates or offers you would like to use. I said no currently I don't. He then said would you mind holding so I can look into what I can do for you. I said sure and when he came back he said ok good news based on your play I can offer you a Comped Balcony room for 2 and I would only have to pay for taxes and fees. I was pleasently surprised by this as I thought maybe they would take 50% off but no fully comped. They gave me a nice room also right on the hump. Anyway the reason I am sharing this story is I strongly feel it really depends who you get on the phone when you call. If you call club Royale and you don't hear the answer you want call back and see if someone else offers you something better. I got lucky this time and got what I wanted on the first try but I think when it comes to club Royale it takes patience.  I forgot to mention about my play. I play blackjack and bet $50 a hand and play around 6 hours a day. sometimes more sometimes less depends on if I am winning and for a week spend about $2,500- $3,000 which at that level is where I find you start to get some good comps. Feel free to ask me any questions. I just felt I would share a recent experience. - Stephanie

I am going on this exact cruise for Free As well.. Except I am going Through Royal Caribbean's Casino Program.. I got the email about 3-4 weeks ago offering me a free cruise on select few dates and this ship and sail date was one of them. I upgraded to a promenade inside room for literally $15 a person so I paid a total of $30 plus taxes and fees... so for a 5 night cruise I paid an exact total of $208.77.. Cant really beat that deal!!

Sometimes Caribbean islands can get repetitive, I think it's good to mix it up now and then.
I'm mixing it up by doing the ABC islands down south, kinda the same as normal but really very different. Then it's Alaska in September.
Sooner or later we'll have to go across the pond for a change.
I really love cruising but after many cheap Caribbean trips I feel we're not seeing the world like we used to.

Btw, I live in Halifax and am familiar with St John too, if you decide to pull the trigger and have any questions drop me a line.

When I found out that Royal would be moving Quantum to China I was not happy. I feel lucky that I am going in March and will get to experience Quantum. Going to China is not something that is very feasable for me mostly cost wise and I am pretty surprised they decided on this move.. Anyway I am curious what do all the fellow members think of this news?? Post and let me know. - Stephanie
