There isn't an equivalent to RCL Star level on Celebrity.   On Celebrity all suite levels are treated the same from a Perks perspective ( .    If booking Retreat level (suite),  you get a deluxe beverage package, tips, OBC, and Luminae, and the Retreat area which has its own bar and pool area. (There is also reserved seating in the theater).   You may also dine in Blu (Aqua level), on space available.  Observation - on Celebrity, the higher the suite level the more attention you'll see from a butler.   Specialty restaurants are not included.  Best analogy - Celebrity suite/Retreat level is like RCL Sky Class for all levels.  The lowest Celebrity Retreat level (Sky Suite) still gets all the perks, whereas a Jr Suite on RCL just gets you a bigger room and preferred boarding (and CK dinner space available).

Actually you are incorrect.. The top 4 suite categories in an Edge class ship include specialty dining

Suite 12100 connects to Royal Suite 12102. 2 bedrooms w/ King Sized beds, Retreat Lounge/Sundeck, Butler
2 King Sized Beds, 2 bathrooms, Complimentary Specialty Dining, Retreat Lounge/Sundeck, Butler
2 Story Luxury Residence, Retreat Sundeck/Lounge, One bedroom, 2 full baths, Complimentary Specialty Dining, Butler
Whirpool Soaking Tub, Expansive Walk-In Shower, Retreat Sundeck/Lounge, Complimentary Specialty Dining, Butler.

That is the verbiage direct from Celebrity's travel agent website... The Royal suite, Edge Villa, Penthouse Suite, and Iconic Suites all come with specialty dining.. This past summer I was on Edge and Apex and personally spoke with people in an Edge Villa who had specialty dining included...

    Great information thankyou everyone ?

We was wondering how quickly the specialty dining restraunts get booked up for the 9 days. Weather its worth it or not to even book them.

Apparently from people we know, the main dining room included with the ticket has amazing food but they havnt cruised for 15 years. Is it still great? or will we be looking for something a bit different after a few days do you think?

15 years ago the main dining room was wonderful.. Now in my opinion its not good.. But that is of course my opinion.. I think you should book some specialty restaurants to mix it up and that way you can decide for yourself what you like. Half the people on here will say its great and half will say its bad.. Its so subjective

I agree with this @smokeybandit. What distrubes me is that if RCG knows they can sail out of FL per @AGSLC5 then why don't they say so? Why doesn't the Governor clear this up by saying his no proof of vaccination policy does not apply to the cruise lines? I think it's pretty clear cruiselines will not be subject to the Desantis no proof of vaccination requied when sailing from FL ports.

So, tell us that in clear an uncertain terms. Instead there's nothing in writing. Cruisers, businesses that rely on the revenue crusiers bring to town, port service providers are all asking this question. The fog of uncertainty, the tittilating slow release of critical information by RCG seems to me to be unnecessary.

Royal's travel agent call is this week.. I think they will be making a very similar announcement to travel agents that Celebrity did..  I also think during the travel agent call this week they will make the official announcement of when they will be able to sail from the USA. I am excited and I hope they will start sailing from USA in July!!!

Since, it seems, RC will be requiring proof of vaccination in your documents, I guess that means no cruises out of Florida? Am I missing something?

During a travel agent call with Celebrity this question was asked.. They basically said they are going to leave from Florida and they don't have to listen to that law.. Maybe they have lawyers who advised them they don't have to listen to the Governor thank god. But they said they will be leaving from Florida

Until Florida gets a handle on controlling the virus (e.g, new cases and hospitalizations), I doubt Florida ports will stand a chance of reopening.  We need folks to be less self-centered and follow protocols so everyone is safe.  Many Floridians are doing the right thing, but the visiting spring breakers and some others haven't really helped the port re-opening.  I'd urge politicians to pledge to follow recommended COVID protocols.  Then the petitions and lawsuits will appear to be on-target.  Without evidence we are really following safe practices, we can't expect the CDC to have confidence in the mitigation strategies proposed by the cruise lines.

No Offense but you have no idea what you are talking about. Florida is no worse than any other state. In fact as others have said anyone over 18 who wants a vaccine can get one. I am 34 and I am fully vaccinated. Our state is absolutely ready for cruises to open!!!

  6. Hi everyone, some people that I know are booked on this sailing.. I happen to be a travel agent and when I logged in to see the inventory and pricing every category is closed.. This makes me think that someone possibly came in and chartered the ship. Is anyone booked on this sailing and got any kind of email notification from Royal about this sailing? Please let me know. Thanks - Stephanie

  7. I wish the CDC would just give a straight answer. If the answer is on Nov 1 we will lift the order and you can cruise out of the US just say so. That way cruise lines can plan and the public can also plan. I want to go on a Thanksgiving cruise and a New Years cruise.. If the order is listed by Nov 1 that can happen but if it isn't am I going to have to rebook a cruise out of Nassau?? Its so very frustrating

With Texas now opening up, does anyone think cruising will begin out of Galveston? We've got a June 7, 2021 cruise from Galveston to Cozumel. Wondering if it will actually will happen.

Florida has been Open for months and still we have no cruises so no I don't think Texas opening up matters at all. I think we have to get the Green Light from CDC and then it will be a go.

The only indication we have of what the casino situation is likely to be is the recent shorty cruise of Quantum out of Singapore.  We had a glimpse of what those new protocols might be.

Apparently they are blocking off slot machines to permit social distancing and limiting the table players to 3 persons at a time.  Of course, there is likely to be constant sanitizing going on.

We do not play slots so I have little interest (as a player, I mean) in slot protocols but I do have an interest in table games.  3 persons per table is going to be a big bummer as many of the table games were already difficult to get onto.  Of course, at the beginning, the occupancy of the cruise, overall, will be reduced so this will help somewhat, but I foresee a problem with table games access.  I sure hope I am wrong.

I hope they end up doing what Vegas did.. Just got back from there and they put plexiglass up and made it so that 5 can sit at a table. It feels like your sitting in a bank vault lol doing a transaction of some sort but it does make it easier to get a spot. They also strongly enforce masks and no smoking both things which I welcome as I Hate smoking anyway. In the summer in Vegas it was a nightmare finding a table but this time for Thanksgiving it was much easier. So maybe Royal can do it like Vegas... Also it makes me want to only go on large ships.. can you imagine the casino with small ships.. Not fun lol

It was not a Royal Caribbean credit card.  I was trying to call the Royal Caribbean help number and there was a recording that they were closed.  My bank has no record of a transaction attempt so it's almost certainly a problem at Royal Caribbean.  I was wondering if anyone else had seen it.

This has happened to me many times. Their website is HORRIBLE. You don't need to talk to the Royal Help desk they are no help. You just need to call the regular reservation line and tell them you want to make a payment. They will take your payment over the phone and it will be done.

+1 for what AGSLC5 said. However, in the case of my own L&S experience with Celebrity all Cruise Planner purchases (including a Private Journey booking) were auto-canceled as soon as the L&S process was begun; I never had a chance to go in and manually cancel everything. I suppose it's possible that it can vary from person to person at Royal / Celebrity with how they enter the cancellation, given the general wonkiness of Royal's IT dept and the stuff they put out.

True mine wasn't canceled with lift and shift.. So maybe that's why?? mine was just that the cruise line canceled it due to them canceling more dates because of Covid

I actually have one more question.  Since I canceled the cruise, does this automatically cancel the packages I bought (like Deluxe Beverage and Cabana at Coco Cay) that were tied with the cruise, or do I have to manually request their cancellation on the planner website?

since its canceled you are not supposed to have to go in and manually do it.. BUT I found every time Royal canceled my cruise if I went in and manually canceled the cruise planner stuff I got my refund much quicker. So its up to you..

There is nothing to disagree with as I neither wrote the article nor did I state that Princess cancelled all their sailing. I just stated the writing was on the wall in reference that we all knew ports of calls access would be an issue, which is what Princess Cruises has stated in the article, and I quote, “due to limitations with border and port access.”. RCCL will be sailing, most likely, shorter cruises and since RCCL has private island(s), that is the saving grace under the Passenger Vessel Services Act of 1886, insofar, if ports do not open, RCCL still will have the capability to cruise if the Caribbean ports do not open at some point.

I disagree with you saying the writing is on the wall.. I don't believe that article proves the writing is on the wall for Royal Caribbean.. All I was trying to say.

Disagree with you.. Princess canceled their around the world sailings.. Of course they did how could they control the amount of ports they were going to. That has NOTHING to do with Royal being able to operate some cruises to the Caribbean. I am not saying Royal will be able to operate fully and go everywhere but I do believe they will be able to go to the Caribbean.. And Cunard another specialty line I don't consider what they do to have any effect on what Royal does.. This article doesn't scare me at all.. I do believe at some point in 2021 Royal will be sailing the Caribbean and the Bahamas..

The standard has always been $100 per person for short sailings (under 7 nights) and $250pp for sailings that are 7+ nights.

    https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/deposit-requirements

actually 3-5 nights is $100.. 6-9 nights is $250 a person and then 10 nights and above is $450 a person.. I never been on a 10 night but I just checked and its def $450 a person lol

Sorry, but your assessment is wrong; one can cancel prior to final payment and receive a refund (always been this way), the deposit amount may or may not be refundable depending on the fare booked. (These are North America booking rules)

Yes your right I stand corrected.. I had thought final payment for Thanksgiving already happened but it seems its actually on August 25..
