Thanks, everyone! We just booked Adventure for San Juan in January 2018. We plan to fly down a couple of days early to spend some time in SJ before boarding and then heading home. Thanks for confirming the decision!

I wanted to share my experience in St. Thomas while Ziplining 1,000 feet up on the mountains! During my May cruise on Freedom Of The Seas my boyfriend and I did the tree limin extreme zip-lining. It was a lot of fun and the most beautiful views looking over Magens Bay and the other Islands around. The instructors made you feel comfortable and loosen up. They made the experience really fun and they have great sense of humor. From what I can remember it was a total of 8 zip lines and two rope bridges. Even though it does say extreme in the title, don't be intimidated by the word. It's not extreme In the sense that it's physical. You do have to carry your own equipment, but it's attached to your harness so it's not too bad probably around 10-15lbs. They have a army truck that takes you up a 40 degree incline, so your not hiking through the woods or anything like that. There is some walking but nothing to crazy. Make sure you bring your camera or even a go pro for video, you will be bummed if you don't catch those view for memories. The views are out of this world! They do have a gift shop at the end with tee shirts and suviners so bring cash if you are interested. Hope this review was helpful

I'm at 50 days out today ..... so that mean's that tomorrow I may receive an email that'll make me very happy?  It's one of those plateau's, a marquee moment when you know your cruise is getting closer....... nice ....

A strip of bells (Christmas) attached to the doorknob out to do the trick. Low cost, easy to pack, and gets the job done.

This is a great question.  I'll start by saying that I don't have any experience with this challenge in particular, but do have a couple thoughts.

Contact Royal Caribbean via the below link, or have your travel agent reach out to RCCL's special needs group.  It wouldn't surprise me if they already have a solution for this.

Outside of that, I'd note the doors are quite heavy and I know that it would be impossible for somone to leave the room without waking me, especially if the top lock is locked (more noise), but I also realize that your stakes are higher, and everyone is different in terms of how deeply they sleep.

There are of course commercial solutions specifically for temporary (hotel) use, such as those below, which I think you alluded to with the wedge alarm:

Let us know what you end up doing and how well you find it works.  I'm really curious if RCCL's special needs team already has a solution for this.

I've never been on the Jewel.  If you look at my past cruises, you will see my vote.  For me, the Voyager Class is the perfect ship.

I found something close to what I am looking for - http://www.cruisetimetables.com/. This gives all the sailings out of a given port for a given date. Hopefully this helps something.

Just wanted to tell you as a former exclusive DCL cruiser (we should really make a club), you will not be disappointed! I found the experiences to be very similar and also felt that RCL excelled in many ways over DCL. You will not feel like you're at Six Flags after only going to WDW.

Hey all - new to these parts but not to cruising. 3 time DCL veterans and love cruising - and have sailed with Matt ... not on Royal Caribbean but Pirates of the Caribbean ...  After hearing Matt on another Disney podcast, I decided to check out RC and am willing to give it a go based on the prices and his sterling recommendation.

That said, I have a couple of questions. Looking at a cruise in January or February 2018. I see that not all of 2018's itineraries have been released but curious if all for the beginning of year have. Just curious if we should wait for more options or start looking at what's out there now.

Also, is there a easy way to search for cruises that leave on a certain day (like I want a 7 night cruise that leaves on Saturday)? I am a pastor and don't want to miss two Sundays in a row - they may figure out they can do it without me. ;)

Thanks in advance - hopefully these questions make sense!
