I look at the Deluxe package now more or less value over the Refreshment.
I'll sit and figure out (spreadsheet time!) how many "enhanced" drinks are needed to take full advantage between the two. Also factor in preferences versus the stock happy hour list for DL/CL/SL. At the same time I'll view it as an insurance policy. If I make more claims against it win, if not oh well.

I just did all my spreadsheet figuring to see if I thought I would hit the $42 per day based on the prices I've seen posted here before I pulled the trigger & purchased. Since I figured I would I bought & now I don't have to think about it on the ship & I can just go & enjoy being on vacation! 17 days to go

I found baseball card pages work great for making a keepsake binder. Eventually I'll add maps of the itinerary with each page.

Seriously, am I the only one who has a spreadsheet to do the break even anaylis on all the beverage packages? ?

If you look at Royals page for Navigator, it has a single dollar sign for Johnny Rockets Express.  Thus it doesn't look free.

If anything the price of Johnny Rockets has only been increasing in recent years - suddenly making it free would be a bizarre change in direction (and also unlikely).

We get the drinks package for a completely different reason.  We get it so that it IS paid in advance (no surprise at the end of the cruise) and so that I feel free to order any drink at any time anywhere, even though we could get "free" drinks in the evenings in the lounges and we drink for free in the casino (which is where we spend most of our time).
I blame Star Class cruising for this compulsion.  LOL  Once you travel in Star Class and never have to worry about anything you eat or drink you realize what a pleasure it is not to have to even think about it.  There is NO WAY that it makes financial sense for me to have a deluxe drink package.  There are many days when I don't drink any alcohol at all.  I always drink sodas, water and cappuccino's though.  I do it for the convenience and not for financial reasons.

Just as an aside, it looks like according to the Miami Port Guide (https://seaport2.miamidade.gov/dailydock/Default.aspx), the Navigator will return on 02/21 before she sails again on 02/24. At least I know she won't be late.

Another thing to think about: How do you need the internet constantly, frequently, or occasionally? The wifi connection is not 100% dependable in every single part of the ship. (There are plenty of places on land like this too, but I figured someone should mention it.)

I would be HIGHLY shocked if it became a free food option.  That would require RC to pay the corporate owners of Johnny Rockets for their product when they already have passengers paying for it.  My guess would be it is going to be a smaller venue for to go options only. Quick lunch/snacks, things like that. Less space for a full sit down restaurant that probably isn't as busy as most. Opens up area for new things.
I'm sure someone will be on it sooner, but I'll be on Navigator in April. If no one verifies before then, I'll report back.

Just spoke with and emailed Michelle. Alaska, here we come and with the current sale Royal has I'm be saving just over $4k! 

I'm so glad that I started using Michelle at MEI as well.  I hadn't found this site when I booked my Ovation cruise last June, and the travel agent charged us a $100 service fee.  Today she also emailed me about flight prices and there was a $50 booking fee included (I'd already made flight arrangements on my own).  I'm annoyed that I was so uninformed last summer.  But still, Ovation in Alaska!!!

I don't know if the one on Anthem is an express, but you order at the counter and pick up your food there as well.  There are only a few tables inside.  Also it's ala carte and no free breakfast.
