  1. Was just on Odyssey last week and the Solarium Bistro was closed to guests for the duration of the cruise. (Was also not listed on the app) We did pass through the Solarium one evening and saw that the lights were on and several crew members were inside having dinner, so I suspect that they are currently using it as an additional crew galley to further encourage social distancing among the crew during their meals/off time. Some "Table Reserved for Social Distancing" signs were also visible on the tables.
  2. Go for it! We wore shorts in the Odyssey MDR 3 or 4 times last week.
  3. These are what I had just last week on Odyssey and I enjoyed them all very much. Appetizers: The Bird's Nest & Crispy Crab Cones Main Course: The Rib “I” Luscious Short Rib Dessert: "The World" (a dark chocolate ball filled with ice cream and mousse, the ball is then melted by drizzling hot caramel over it at your table. Delicious!)
  4. Yes. With our Royal Up acceptance two weeks ago, Set Sail passes were available almost right away. i asked RC via Twitter about new documents and they said new docs (with luggage tags) would be available within 48 hours. (It only took 7 hours)
  5. Port (left) side. The ships actually face away from Coco Cay while docked, so neither side will have direct views of the island, but the starboard side will provide some view of the island.
  6. You should be able to use the chat feature on the Royal Caribbean app without buying a Wi-Fi package for $1.99 per person/per day.
  7. We cruised on Navigator during the week of Thanksgiving 2009. The Christmas tree and other decorations "appeared" in the promenade on Wednesday morning.
  8. I received my Royal Up offer email at 38 days prior to our sailing I received an email that my offer was accepted 14 days before our sailing. I was rather surprised since so many have posted in the past about getting bids accepted with 3 days or less until sailing.
  9. I don't know, I see a lot of people on the pool deck hiding their glasses and saying "be cool" when they see the Coast Guard cruising by.
  10. Holy Carp, indeed. Congrats!
  11. Is the the reason for the rumored delay? They didn't have "Day of the Week" elevator signs yet?
  12. Landscape mode works! Fits the entire SetSail Pass to one page. I have everything electronically, but, I always bring hard copies for backup.
  13. OH! My mistake, I misunderstood. Of course they were ready to take more of your money for you to make pre-cruise purchases.
  14. Don't feel like an idiot. We all know that the RC website is not very intuitive. Click on the "Link A Missing Cruise" at the top of your account's home page. (I hope this helps!)
  15. You would have pretty much no chance at getting it back in time. The U.S. State Department lists "Routine" renewals as taking 8 to 11 weeks and "Expedited" renewals at 5 to 7 weeks.
  16. It's good to have a spare kit or two. I've heard stories of failed proctored tests that needed to be redone. Causes were user error and connectivity issues, among others. Tony at the La Lido Loca YouTube channel inadvertently demonstrated this during his walkthrough video of taking a proctored test. @SpeedNoodles shared a link of his experience on this thread.
  17. When I first heard about this, I was REALLY hoping there would be Gone In 60 Seconds style pursuit on the high seas!
  18. An arrest warrant for a ship? Those will be some interesting mug shots!
  19. Park Café or the Solarium are our usual lunch stops since the WJ can get so busy. (with Pre-COVID crowds anyway) This coming week, however, we want to try out El Loco Fresh on Odyssey.
  20. Good to know. I think I'll save the pic of the platinum letter to my phone so I have a copy of it with me. BTW, The fine print mentions getting the list of Terms & Conditions from the Loyalty Ambassador's Desk. I wonder if that would be a better source for these letters instead of Guest Services.
  21. If this is such an issue, why is this just now being mentioned here? People have been using these tests to cruise for months now.
  22. You can definitely purchase internet for one day. I have done this in the past on the final day to be able to check-in for flights. Sorry that I cannot remember the purchase price.
  23. Aren't these delivered by the stateroom attendant on Day 1? That's what I seem to remember.
  24. This should start populating as you get closer to your sail date. We sail on Odyssey in 10 days and I just noticed that the entertainment and other activities have shown up in the app after I saw it mentioned in another post this morning. (The "Entertainment" and "Activities" selections in the app, NOT in the website Cruise Planner where purchases are made) It looks like there is A LOT of stuff going on! Prego!
  25. No purchase of Wi-Fi is necessary to use the app onboard. Just connect to the ship's Wi-Fi. There is a charge to use the passenger to passenger chat feature that is available on the app. $1.99 per person/per day.
