  1. It's good to have a spare kit or two. I've heard stories of failed proctored tests that needed to be redone. Causes were user error and connectivity issues, among others. Tony at the La Lido Loca YouTube channel inadvertently demonstrated this during his walkthrough video of taking a proctored test. @SpeedNoodles shared a link of his experience on this thread.
  2. When I first heard about this, I was REALLY hoping there would be Gone In 60 Seconds style pursuit on the high seas!
  3. An arrest warrant for a ship? Those will be some interesting mug shots!
  4. Park Café or the Solarium are our usual lunch stops since the WJ can get so busy. (with Pre-COVID crowds anyway) This coming week, however, we want to try out El Loco Fresh on Odyssey.
  5. Good to know. I think I'll save the pic of the platinum letter to my phone so I have a copy of it with me. BTW, The fine print mentions getting the list of Terms & Conditions from the Loyalty Ambassador's Desk. I wonder if that would be a better source for these letters instead of Guest Services.
  6. If this is such an issue, why is this just now being mentioned here? People have been using these tests to cruise for months now.
  7. You can definitely purchase internet for one day. I have done this in the past on the final day to be able to check-in for flights. Sorry that I cannot remember the purchase price.
  8. Aren't these delivered by the stateroom attendant on Day 1? That's what I seem to remember.
  9. This should start populating as you get closer to your sail date. We sail on Odyssey in 10 days and I just noticed that the entertainment and other activities have shown up in the app after I saw it mentioned in another post this morning. (The "Entertainment" and "Activities" selections in the app, NOT in the website Cruise Planner where purchases are made) It looks like there is A LOT of stuff going on! Prego!
  10. No purchase of Wi-Fi is necessary to use the app onboard. Just connect to the ship's Wi-Fi. There is a charge to use the passenger to passenger chat feature that is available on the app. $1.99 per person/per day.
  11. In addition to the conferences mentioned above, they have other uses as well. 3 years ago, we received an invitation by RC to participate in a survey session on Freedom early on embarkation day. A representative asked us and another couple about our thoughts and impressions on several current and potential cruising aspects in one of the conference rooms and we were compensated with a AmEx gift card. Snacks and refreshments were also served. The whole thing was about 15-20 minutes of our time. They had arranged for several small groups to participate throughout the day until time of sailing.
  12. No. They do need to remain in their individually sealed blue boxes. You may want to take a photo of the QR code on the brown box as some have mentioned the QR code is not on the newer blue boxes. (Can anyone confirm this?)
  13. The EARLIEST check-in times might not be available when check-in opens. So, you may want to check back periodically. When check-in opened for our upcoming Odyssey sailing, Noon-12:30 was the earliest time available, which I chose. One week later, 11:00-11:30 became available, so I updated our check-in to the earlier time.
  14. FYI: If you just want to, you can just log in to grab a desired Check-In Time and return later to fill in the rest of the information when you are more Alert and/or Caffeinated. Also, you may want to use the app to take pictures of your vax cards for upload unless you have them scanned to your computer.
  15. That's odd. I just checked my inbox and I received the Royal Up email at 53 days to go.
  16. Ugh! That is ridiculous. Do you still have the ones that expire the week after Odyssey?
  17. We went from Interior to Balcony. We generally cheap out and get an interior room so we can put more money toward excursions, dining, drinks, etc. We have a real "just get us on the ship!" mentality. Like I said, though, our fare ended up being so low that bidding extra to get a balcony was still more than reasonable. PS: Don't tell my wife we got a balcony, it's a surprise!
  18. My Royal Up bid was just accepted this morning a full two weeks ahead of the sail date. My bid was right in the middle of the "Fair" category. I'm thinking that I probably could have gotten it a lower price, but I got our original fare so low with a re-price that our total price after the upgrade is still more than worth it! BTW, does anyone know when our eDocs with the new luggage tags might be updated? Our Set Sail passes are updated on the app and on the website, but the eDoc PDF still have our previous deck and room number listed. ***UPDATE*** I asked Royal Caribbean through a DM on Twitter about new eDocs. In UNDER 2 MINUTES, I received a response that I should expect new eDocs within 48 hours of my bid being accepted. ***UPDATE 2*** Exactly 7 hours after received my Royal Up upgrade email, I received an email containing my new eDocs.
  19. Why not? After all, the new CEO, Jason Liberty, has a ship named after him!
  20. Does ONE bottle count as only ONE drink?
  21. I think @Natalfaz is asking about onboard quarantines.
  22. If they didn't want you to have alcohol at breakfast time, they wouldn't make alcoholic drinks with breakfast beverages! (Orange juice, tomato juice, coffee, etc.)
  23. I know that the current Low/High temperatures for the ports is listed, but, I think a more complete weather forecast would be helpful. (At least for the current and next day) (Does James Van Fleet read this forum? )
  24. In that case, Cafe Promenade, perhaps?
