Please explain how you got to the beach without needing the day pass ? Did you also have access to any food or bars near the beach ?

I'm guessing they didn't. They probably saw the "free" part of the aquarium at the lobby, and then went to Cabbage Beach. Otherwise they entered the premises  without paying which isn't allowed.

Atlantis is literally 10 mins drive.  We used a local guide to take us there. We paid only $10 each thats because there was a full van. We got to go the Atlantis, walk around for about 2 hours, see the aquarium, the hotel and stayed at the beach for a bit. Than the tour guide took us to the local town for an hour and we got to buy some Rum cakes. We were back at the ship by 2:00pm.

How did you entered the full aquarium and Atlantis beach without paying the $200 day pass? They don't allow this.

  3. As far as I know the British Colonial Hilton doesn't exist anymore. They now have some kind of day pass only for the beach and some loungers.
The Food and drinks are available for purchase but inside the Margaritaville Resort and the pass is for beach access only. There is no pool.

I've read some neutral and some bad reviews from this new "Serenity Beach Day Pass"...

    1. Was the booking directly through RCCL?

    2. When you book balcony rooms with obstructions, the website CLEARLY says it has obstructions.  I believe in RED lettering, but I can't recall for sure.

I'm not sure, recently I almost booked an obstructed view cabin by mistake, the only "flag" was a little icon on the deck plan that you had to go to the bottom to se what it meant. It meant obstructed view.

Not really a supply comment, but…

I always thought it was somewhat impractical for me to purchase a soda package because I didn’t want to lug around an RFID tumbler just in case I wanted to use a soda machine. I thought it would be better if the machine accepted my SeaPass card and I could just tap and use a glass or paper cup when I wanted. But, I’ve also noticed many times where machines are not operating…and they are few and far between. Just my opinion.

    This!

SeaPass with RFID would be a better option than carrying around the plastic cup.

Funny cause this was the exact quote from the Royal rep when I called 7 days before my sail date with my concern about not having been assigned a room. Then 3 days later "oh sorry the suites were sold out and only had a balcony available"

Wow! Did you get any compensation?

  7. This could help

I wouldn't take a regional train, they usually are very crowded and take longer to get to the port. Intercity or Freccia Bianca are your best choices.

"from Rome Termini to Civitavecchia the cost of a regional train ticket is €5.00 (about 1h20), an Intercity train costs €11.00 (55 minutes approx.), for a Freccia Bianca train the cost is €15 (45 minutes approx)"

    1. People that reserve seats in the pool area or solarium.  If you want to enjoy the pool, go and hang out there.  Do not send one person to reserve 10 spots or worse go there and leave towels on them and come back 2 hours later.

I just saw this on Oasis, a woman came and reserved more than 10 spots on the deck pool, she didn't even had enough towels and stuff to "claim" them all.

I jus sat on one seating that had nothing on it only to be yelled by the "kind" hoarder.

I am looking to book the ultimate family suite on Spectrum of the Seas. The cost for 4 Adults + 2 kids is around $19K. When calling RC for a quote of 6 Adults + 2 Kids, the total jumped up to $29K (5000 for each additional guest!)

Is it normal for RC to charge the full price for additional adult? I know there is discount for 3rd and 4th adult, but not sure about the 5th and 6th adult. Thanks!

At that price It might be cheaper just to book an inside cabin for them even if they don't use it and have extra keys for them for the suite.

  10. I have a question about the Bathroom Amenities.

On JR suite on Odyssey, and GS on Oasis they had 3 MALIN+GOETZ dispensers with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, also there was a MALIN+GOETZ body lotion.

However I've seen several videos of other ships, like JR suites on Adventure where I can only see the 3 in 1 dispenser.

This site clearly states that one of the few benefits of staying on a JR suite are the Luxury Bathroom Amenities, so I was wondering what's happening here? Could you ask your cabin attendant for them if you only find the 3 in 1 dispenser if you're staying in a JR Suite?
