  1. There is no port in Santorini, all ships have to tender.
The problem is not getting to Oia, the real problem is getting back to your ship on time. You have to go down to the pier where the tenders are and there are only two ways to get there, by cable car or by stairs (not recommended). The cable car line can be up to 2 hours or more.

    Here are some helpful tips:

Many people hold their water bottle right up to the dispenser instead of letting the water fall into the bottle. RC is mostly just going out of its way to be as hygienic as possible (or at least give that appearance).

Also all freestyle cups have the same shape and size and you have to put them on the sensor before pouring beverages so there's no way it can touch the dispenser directly.

  3. I live in Mexico, and I totally understand when tourist feels uneasy or insecure coming here after seeing terrible news like this.

However (and not trying to play down this tragedy) the recent reports suggest that this was a confrontation between criminal groups.

As others have pointed, criminal groups rarely targets tourist.

However, recently just before a FOS cruise on Miami on spring break, my wife and I where eating in South Beach when we were caught in the middle of what looked like a gang fight with guns involved, luckily no shots were fired but this happened right next to us, obviously I would feel uneasy coming back to SB any time soon. So I could understand If someone would prefer staying on the ship when visiting a Mexican port of call.

    What’s the CEO email?

we booked the boat called the “Nightmare of the seas”. I highly anticipated holiday by the worlds best cruise liner as they say, our trip of a lifetime ended up being a complete disaster . Nothing has been refunded after two email requests .

This sounds exactly like a chartered cruise, you should address your complaints to the company who chartered the ship, not Royal.

Costa Maya and Roatan are junk ports.  Outside of the immediate port, there are slums.  You cannot escape the port trap without a cab.  Maybe Mahogany Bay is a Carnival resort, but their port was far superior.

I was bitting my tongue to not address this kind of comments but couldn't do it.

Calling Costa Maya a slums and a Junk port seems harsh and uninformed. The dock could be called "Costa Maya" but really is the town of Mahahual what you're visiting when you're there. It's a shame you didn't gave yourself the chance to know the place.

  6. Avoid buying a ticket for a regional train, from Roma Termini to Civitavecchia the price for a regional train ticket is €5 (about 1h15m), an Intercity train costs €11 (48m), and a Freccia Bianca train costs €15 (42m). Always choose either one of the last two.

But if someone in your travel party has mobility problems I would book a private transfer from Rome instead, because the train option includes several flights of stairs carrying your luggage depending on the platform you arrive/departure.

Then you have to transfer to a Bus Shuttle to take you to the port. Walking distance is about 1.6 miles or about 30 minutes walking.

Our request to have our teens' beds separated with the pre-cruise form was NOT honored upon embarkation. We did have the distilled water, but our TA had also made this request so that was probably because of her and not the form.

However, we had a QR code in our room that allowed for in-room, on demand requests. It stated that actions would be taken in 30-60 minutes after request. These were completed in that time frame every time we used it (4x total). It took you to these pages:

It may be a pilot program because I haven't heard of any other ships having it yet.

    On what ship was this?

  8. In Quantum Class and Oasis Class ships is a good deal if it's the same price as internet packages, because all the "private" time for activities you will get.

In Odyssey I got to ride the Bumper cars about 4 times once after another on a sea Day. Try to do this without the Key and it's impossible.

Totally agree with other comments, what a waste of space.

How long took Mariner Dry Dock?
Wondering because I've reserved the TA on Adventure OTS just after its 2024 scheduled Dry Dock and hearing that the first sailing of Mariner after Dry Dock got cancelled because of delays makes me a little worried.

including asking... is that per person or for everyone?

    This!

Some of the cabbies will try to charge per person if you let them. Don't!
Ask them if the price is for everyone before you get on.

They should charge the same for 1 to 4 persons. There should be a sign with the prices displayed as you can see in the pic @Pooch shared.

This really shouldn't affect the majority of passengers sailing on US-based cruises.

Well, not the majority but It will affect some cruisers, like me. I don't live in the US so to me all the new legal terms will be different in some way 🫠, I just can't figure out how because my residence country isn't listed 🤷‍♂️
