    I'm sorry, but your TA completely dropped the ball on this one. After I apply a deposit, I check the booking to confirm the deposit was applied correctly. I check the payment history, I send myself a confirmation showing the deposit was applied and the remaining balance. I guarantee if the TA had a confirmation from Royal showing the deposit applied, Royal would honor the original price. Mistakes can happen, but this should have been discovered within days at the most - not months later. Also, the TA says they had a chat that was in the process of honoring the original price? We have the ability to download chat transcripts - why didn't they do that? People like this unfortunately give professional TAs a bad name.

    I'm sorry you are having a hard time, and that shouldn't happen. Sometimes a client will contact me before I will check, and then I try and check it right away. But sometimes it just isn't possible to do it quickly. Sometimes you have to call it in and that takes forever. 
    Basically you should be able to communicate with your agent properly, and if that isn't happening you should ask for a new agent assignment. Every client is important, it could be that the agent was dealing with something and couldn't check those other reservations right that minute. 
    If you'd like to switch agents email [email protected] and they'll reassign you to someone else.

    Hi Everybody,
    An update on our situation. I just spoke with David at MEI and he was very helpful. He promised to get us squared away with a different agent, and did confirm that we should be able to expect better service.
    Thanks, @Sharlaand @Beci for your posts. I had posted a while back on a different thread about our agent not having notified us of the significant price drops on our cruise. I was kind of rebuffed by a few posters for expressing my disappointment, but I thought I had read elsewhere on the boards about your software that checked somewhat regularly for those price drops. That's why I was disappointed.
    Thanks everyone for your great feedback! I look forward to updating again when I hear how things are resolved.

    All travel agents have been basically working for free since March of 2020. All the handling of cancellations, rescheduling, refunds, and FCC’s was done for free. True, they do get paid when someone eventually travels but if that trip was rescheduled 3 times that means they did the work twice for free.

    We did an excursion last year on Grand Cayman that included a city tour, Hell and the Cayman Turtle Center. We had a great guide who made everything interesting, and really loved the turtles. I highly recommend the Turtle Center to anyone who has even a passing interest in sea turtles - we learned a lot, saw some massive and (massively old) sea turtles and got to pick up and hold some smaller ones.

    It's been 1 year, 8 months since my last cruise on Adventure. My favorite day was in Cozumel, when our long-planned for excursion got cancelled last minute and I convinced my claustrophobic sister to go on the submarine with me, followed by a super fun lunch at Senor Frog's. We ended up having the best time, just being spontaneous - usually very difficult for two Type-A planners!

    Twice in Nassau we booked excursions to Blue Lagoon Island - once just for a beach day and once with a Dolphin Swim. Both times we found the island to be super clean and well kept and the people working there friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the Dolphin Swim if it's something your family has interest in - we had a great time. On the beach day we reserved a 'half shell' shade with lounge chairs and I think it included a free drink per person. There seemed to be plenty of lounge chairs and space available for folks who didn't reserve a specific spot as well.

    My chocolate martini at the English Pub on Symphony of the Seas last February.  This bartender was very good at making me drinks I never thought I'd like and having me fall in love with them (like a Blueberry Gin Fizz - I thought I hated Gin).  Man, I miss him.

    July 27, 2019 leaving the beautiful Port  of Miami on Symphony.

    I never would have imagined that sail away would be my last one for almost a year and a half now.  The saddest part is that I don’t know even know when the dry dock ends. ?
    However, with all the losses 2020 has brought, it has brought us many hidden blessings as well. It is important to fix our eyes on the little things in life.

    A year ago today we were in Nassau, it was a gorgeous day spent touring the rum cake factory, Atlantis, the Queens Staircase and straw market on to John Waitlings Distillery, (free tastes) We wound up at Senors Frog (Grouper strips, fish tacos) Then back on board. We were supposed to be leaving on the 29th on a repeat trip. Oh well, memories of cruises past and planning for our first B2B 10/30/21.
