  1. I have traveled on the anthem during the winter months from NJ. Embarkation day and day2 were cold, but we awoke on Day 3 to warm weather. It was fantastic! Furthermore, it gave us the opportunity to do all the indoor activities and shows for the 1st -2 days that were sometimes overlooked when you're spending most of your time outdoors on deck.

Also, New York is great any time of year!!!

Checking back our last two rides as a family of 4 (Lyft XL) the cost was $106.12 (Thursday morning, took 40 min) and $101.58 (Thursday morning, took 33 mins). Both rides were from the Intercontinental Times Square to the terminal in Cape Liberty. Hope that helps.

You're right on the money with that cost pretty much any time of the day. Another option...Take the PATH train into NJ, then take a LYFT the rest of the way.

Booked the Rhapsody of Seas cruise for April, 2025 and want to arrive in San Juan two day early to see San Juan. What's the reccomended hotel close to the terminal? What's the best way to take in San Juan?

It really depends on what you want in a hotel. If you strictly want to be near the port for embarkation, then stay at either the Sheraton Puerto Rico casino & Hotel or the Aloft. If you want to take in the sites of Old San Juan...then the Sheraton Old San Juan or Hotel El Convento. If you want to be near great beaches...then stay at the Water Club in Isla Verde.

Okay, this sounds like a potential winner with a few tweaks. Because of the dining and retail in the area, doing a straight winery or beer garden theming wouldn't work. However, theming to something like a Tuscan or Bavarian village could be grand.

Another idea!...Take that Beer garden and set it up on The Boardwalk where Johnny Rockets is! Sell oversized pretzels and steins!

  5. Being a Diamond member, I have bid on 4 cruises.

Freedom of the Seas April 2022-Low bid from Balcony to Jr Suite rejected,

Oasis of the Seas June 2022- Low Balcony to a Jr Suite rejected.

Oasis of the Seas Aug. 2023- Multiple low bids on 4 cabins ranging from Interior to balcony all rejected.

Freedom of the Seas May 2024- Finally an accepted bid! Promenade to a Panoramic View. Low bid of $100/person. Ironically enough...this is the only one that was a casino comp!

On Liberty currently on a 5 night Bermuda cruise.

We've had Welcome Aboard, French (formal), Taste of the USA, Caribbean and tomorrow is Italian.

I thought the Lobster Mac was really good (my 10 year old ordered it...she inhaled it. I'm surprised I got a taste). Caribbean night was meh.

    Thank you so much!

    Maple Bourbon Salmon

Honey Fried Chicken (I was disappointed with this. It was more like a beer battered coating, bland at that, then what I expected with traditional friend chicken)

    Burger

    Lobster Mac and Cheese (tasty)

    Vegan Jambalaya

    Some fish curry dish

    Thank you so much!

Interesting entrees. I would've thought the the turkey dinner would fit better with that menu rather than the Bon Voyage menu.

If it is a sailing less than 7nights there is no Bon voyage, and depending on ports Mexico might not be included.

For Liberty's 5n sailings, it will be: Welcome aboard, taste of France, taste of USA, taste of Caribbean, and taste of Italy.

What is the "Taste of USA"? I can't find a menu online anywhere!

Well… seems like I needed to make a reservation before now because it’s sold out. So I guess the lot at the port it is. Still looking for info if anyone has parked there. I have a cruise booked in Oct and another in December so I’ll try it out then I guess. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Where is that lot located?...and do they have a shuttle? Also, what is the lot contact info? I may just call...I have to pay for 2 cars for my trip!

Has anyone parked at 69 Hook RD when going on a cruise out of Bayonne? I typically  park in the garage at the port but doing a back to back tomorrow (9 total nights) and 69 Hook RD is HALF the price so we were thinking about giving it a shot. Would save us $135 on parking for the 9 nights.
    thanks!!

Keep us updated! I'd be interested in doing this in 2 weeks.

  11. We sailed atleast 7 years ago from Baltimore as we live only 3 1/2 hours from there. I remember embarkation was super smooth...and parking was a breeze. 1 thing that I will NEVER forget...was traveling down the Chesapeake! I remember eating dinner in the MDR hours after depating the port...and still seeing land! It was soooo different and lovely!
