Thanks for the review and information on the taxis. Understand not the quality of Cozumel but like you just great to be in the water.

Google best fish tacos in Ensenada and visit 3-4 of them for a wonderful time. Do not pay overpriced RC excursions that will take you to same taco stands.

RC does not offer any scuba diving excursions in Costa Maya so looking at booking with Mar Adentro Adventures in Mahahual, MX. Maybe a $4.00 and 5 min. taxi ride from port in Costa Maya. Can anyone offer reviews of Mar Adentro Adventures for 2 tank dive?

Sailed 38 nights since new menu and am okay with it. Tried some new to me menu entrees that were very good and some not what I want, that is to be expected from each person. Service for the most part was excellent but then a couple of nights not so good. For us each night there were menu entrees that we liked. Seems portion size has decreased but that helps with the waistline. If a person wants/needs more they can order another entree. Not selling my shares that have doubled. No complaints from us on quality of food!

Have no recipe but agree that soup is very good.

Over last 5 months we have sailed 43 nights on Adventure and Radiance. Adventure was just before new menu for 5 nights and service as well as food was as we remembered prior to shut down. Radiance was for 38 nights, the MDR waiters & Asst.'s were excellent except one sailing. Head waiters for 3 sailings visited each night. The food was mostly good but a few instances food was just terrible, cold, tasteless and or poor presentation. But again usually the food was warm with a good taste. One dish was a shrimp & pasta that contained no shrimp but the table next to me with same dish contained a dozen shrimp. Another time the table next to me had a chicken dish and the chicken was not cooked at all. Yes, I typed that correctly! Overall we would rate the food as a 6. Never before would we have rated it below 8. Dining time was about 60 - 75 minutes. A few times extended to 90+ minutes. We rarely order extra plates so that does not effect our dining time. We have 308 nights booked over the next two years and hope that MDR will get back to what we remember.

My post was really a tougue in cheek post about a senior not able to order banana split from kid's menu. Please know that a kid or senior can still order all the ice cream they desire with toppings, just bring your banana from somewhere else on the ship. lol

Yes everything is thought of and calculations done. For some it can be a hugh savings and others just very nice savings. For us we are staying with orginal booking but it is a little depressing to see how much different it could have been. With half ship booked for all 17, I will be surprised if RC will attempt another so called World cruise. Our vision for the cruise it's a once in lifetime experience and we are fortunate so far be healthy enough to take this type of trip. We will have 26 months of planning by embarkation. Completed a b4b for 38 nights just to better understand what and how much to pack, manage diet without gaining weight, living in such a small space, proper amount of excerise needed, etc. On b4b one of us lost 1 lb. and the other 5 lbs., we are ready to go.

All this changing up MDR menu has been okay but now they have gone to far. Are you kidding me as a senior I can no longer order a banana split because it was taken off the kids menu. Where do the cuts end. Okay a kid probably does not need a banana split at dinner but a senior has few good years remaining and should be able to eat all the junk they want. Can still get 2 scoops with choclate syrup so guess I will bring a banana into MDR from morning room service order. Guess I will never grow up!

We like to sail b2b and enjoy the MDR lunch and always order short rib. On our last b2b they had all of us order off the Key menu and the Filet was so good. That was in March on Radiance. Have no clue why they used that menu.

Have no problem with only one entree at a time because I do not like so many plates around me. Another reason I rarely order a second. However on my last 4 b2b the lobster is still very small so I also desired a strip steak, thinking it would be nice to have the little steak with the little lobster for a fun surf & turf on one plate. They said no, so DW ordered a steak and put it on my lobster plate. She enjoyed dressed up bake potato untill her lobster arrived. Much enjoyed my Surf & Turf!

Rebooking has been available for month or more and yes now there are only interior or oceanview remaining. Those who acted fast were able to stay in levels they first booked. In some cases those were interior or oceanview. Yes you can get a lot of amenities as World cruiser and when it was a World cruise everyone paid for those needed or not. But it is no longer a World cruise, it is 17 cruises and now you do not have to pay increased fare price for amenities you do not need and save thousands. Those emenities were never free they were priced in fare paid. Passengers for past 1 -1/2 years had one booking number for World but that has now gone away and everyone now is booked on 17 cruises and each cruise with a separate booking number. Problem is due to World only selling about half of cabins and the other half now get to sail al a carte as normal.

They have upset a lot of the World Cruisers because the rates are now much cheaper by booking all 17 cruises that they now offer as the world cruise. Many have cancelled World cruise and rebooked all 17 cruises. Cancelling required losing $8,000 per person non-refundable deposit that was required to book World cruise. Even with that loss people are still saving thousands of dollars. People with kids paid thousands over and above the $8,000 deposit and now new bookings kids sail free. Shareholders receive $2350 more than World cruisers by booking as 17 sailings. Another hugh savings by booking the 17 is not required to purchase Wifi and Drink packages that equals tens of thousands of dollars. Understand this cruise is 274 days (9 months), so that is reason people can now book and save tens of thousands of dollars by not being required to purchase packages that many already receive as part of CA benefits. We as Diamond members and only one of us drinks receive 8 drink vouchers per day but had to pay for Drink package that was part of cruise fare. For us at $60 day X2 equals $32,880 for entire cruise. Wifi is only needed by us 1 day a week but was priced into our fare, many thousands of dollars to be saved by not being required to purchase daily for thousands of dollars. The more I type this the more depressed I get. RC has really upset a lot of long time loyal cruisers and have a real mess.

Glad you were able to get resolution. My problem is they keep changing one of my 7 day cruises from 7 to 1 point. I call 3 times to get corrected over a month period. How 2 months later one of my other 7 day cruises if showing 1 point. So let the call begin and hope it does not take 3 over a month.
