Woo hoo, congrats!!! I hit Diamond in June, and get to take advantage of my sparkly new status in December.
We don't cruise until October 2023 (way too long from now) so I may have to see if I can squeeze in another one....

Sounds awesome.
The only downside is you didn't get to beautiful Wales.
Excuse to come back I guess!
I would LOVE to go back! Some of the ports were an one drive from where we were going so that is 2 hours that cut into our time unfortunately.

Please, please PLEASE give us some feedback from your British Isles cruise. I've been thinking about you since August 19. I am so disappointed that we didn't make this one !! We should be on the Voyager Arctic Circle TA from Copenhagen right now....
It was amazing and wonderful. We had perfect weather!! We miss the Channel Islands due to the scheduling of the Locks in Amsterdam. They have a low water issue right now and the ships have to be scheduled differently. We got back into Amsterdam at 6 pm the night before disembarkation, we got to explore Amsterdam that night too with no set time to be back. We went to Braveheart County and Stirling Castle in Edinburgh, Scotland; Dunrobin Castle in Iverness, Scotland (this was massive and beautiful and we also got to see a falconry demo there (which was a special treat), in Glasgow, Scotland we went to Glengoyne Distillery (bought some 18 year old whisky) and we went to the Greyabbey ruins. We did the scenic tour Belfast Northern Ireland and walked around Donaghadee Harbour, in Cork (Cobh) Ireland we a city tour and had an Irish Coffee tasting, in Dover England we toured Dover Castle (massive - I walked 29 flights of stairs! and we went to Canterbury Cathedral - huge and beautiful!!! and the port was in eye sight of the White Cliffs of Dover (amazing). In Liverpool we went to Chester Catherdral and walked all around Beatle country. You need to do this one!!!

Can't ask for extra outlets, only extension cords, which I did get, for my CPAP machine.
Yep, I'll bring only a USB Hub from now on.
The one I used last month on Harmony may not be allowed in Amsterdam on Friday, so I will pack a USB hub also.

to be clear, tipping isn’t so standard there as in the US so I don’t think you should stress over this at all if picking up some euros is difficult. But I think they’d be more offended that you’d think they wanted your dollars than if you didn’t tip at all.
I don't want to offend anyone (which is why I asked the question in the first place) but I don't use ATM's so this will be difficult to change unless I can do so at the Hotel the evening before. I just want to know what my options are so I can prepare before heading to the port.

While it will be a bit of a pain for them to convert it, and there will likely be a little bit of a fee for them, it helps that the USD is actually stronger than the EUR right now!
Good to hear! We will tip them nicely so hopefully they will be happy to help us --- that is IF our luggage arrives with us

I don't see why not. I certainly dont think they'll be insulted.
I hope this will be acceptable as I don't want to get other currency just for that if possible.

We will be cruising out of Amsterdam this Friday and the question that I have is tipping the porters in USD$ acceptable for them?

We use the soft-sided pill organizers (Amazon) with the little zip-lock bags that fit into each slot. I love these as they are slim and fits into my carry-on backpack. I do have a picture of the original bottles just in case. I never have been asked in all our flying (domestic and international) but you just never know.

It is way cheaper than a Lyft/Uber when going out of Port Canaveral. and/or if you do one of their bundles. But if you have a large party, it might not be cost effective.
We paid approx $560 for 8 people including our hotel stay for one night. Came out to $70 per person which is very cost effective. We stayed closed to the airport so we used the hotel's free shuttle pick up as per GoPort's directions. Some hotels closer to port cost quite a bit more but for us, this worked perfectly. Plus the hotel had free breakfast too.

We used GoPort for the first time this past July for our Harmony cruise and I will 100% use them again. We stayed at the Hampton Inn Airport in Orlando the day before cruise, they picked us up and the hotel about 30 mins early and we all knew about it as we got a text from the driver (everyone was happy with the pick up time as that got us to the port before our 11:30 am check in time). The port pickup for our return to the airport was smooth. The shuttle bus was big and comfortable. There were 8 people in our party and we all were pleased. Very professional.

We were on the Harmony last month and we were 100% capacity. However, we had early seating for dinner and walked right in every night. When we would leave the dining room the line for MTD was insanely long! We also used the solarium and there were lots of loungers to choose from but out by the main pools it was hard to get a lounger by mid-morning on (sea days). We had breakfast in the dining room every morning and did not have to wait. We aren't buffet people unless we have no other choice.

I had the same issue so I just took a picture from the app of my vax card and it worked. It took a couple of weeks to validate also.

I am sailing on Harmony of the Seas in October 2022. I am flying into Orlando. What is the best way to get from the airport to Port Canaveral? Taxi, Uber, Other??
We flew in the day before (7/16) and we used GoPort for airport to hotel and hotel to port and then port back to airport. It worked like a charm! On the shuttle (it was a big bus) from the hotel to port and port to airport it was a great experience. We had 8 people in our group.

We were scheduled to take a cruise in April 2020 and it was cancelled due to the pandemic. We are now venturing back to our love of cruises next month but still worry about COVID. Can any recent travelers provide info on mask wearing amongst passengers? I'm interested in knowing if my group of 4 will be the only ones in masks or if a good amount of cruisers still choose to wear them in indoor spaces and at events? Thanks so much!
On the Harmony last week, they were people wearing masks but not a huge amount but no one seemed to be out of place. All the RCI employees wore masks and a button with what they looked like without their mask. You just do what you feel comfortable doing.

Good to know! Thanks!
This will help me a lot in planning what we want to do in the evenings . . . on our cruise last year we saw the ice show and the two "production" type shows, so we won't need to see them again (well, maybe the ice show). That leaves us free to do things like visit bars.
On the Harmony last week they had 2 different ice shows.

Thank you Whitsmon. That is great news for us. I hope the escape room Is open when we go. My kids weee looking forward to it. We didn’t get to do it on our last cruise since it sold out.
They told us it was closed thru September so if your going late October then you should be good. You will need to make reservations as soon as you finish your lunch to have a chance to book it.

This was on NCL website. I hope RCI does this too before our August 19th British Isles cruise (Jewel). I got my fingers crossed (but not holding my breath)!

We purchased the Key because we always get the internet. I’ve seen videos where the line is 2 hours at port canaveral for Harmony of the Seas. Will there be a line for the key that I won’t have to wait outside?
We just returned from Harmony with the Key. We had our own line and it was very short (there were maybe 10-12 people ahead of us) compared to the other line that was very very long at 11:30 am. We were on the ship in less than 20 mins and headed to the Chops lunch (which was wonderful). They took our carry on bags straight to our rooms. I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth it all went. VOOM worked good all week. The only disappoints we had was that the Escape Room was closed for renovation and way too many people would cram into the elevator when it clearly not room. Other than that it was Great!
