DDD reacted to jaedam0820 in Vaccination Card for Check-in
I accidentally uploaded my VC instead of my hubby's, under his profile. I called CS and told me to reupload. They didn't tell me when it would get validated. I assume they can just verify it upon check-in if it doesn't get verified on time. I refused to get stressed over it. Thank you all for your replies.

Can Confirm - I gave him a box last September - he was ecstatic! Chris is really personable and loves to chat if he has time.

He did confirm that Rice Krispie treats are a favorite.

Back when cruising first restarted and it was impossible for the crew to get off. I bought Chris some Rice Kripie (R) treats.

not to hijack the thread, but we're also booked into the Mediterranean pre-cruise and plan to use the light rail and the monorail from SEATAC to Seattle Center, then uber or walk the remaining blocks, depending on weather
thanks for the heads-up about their shuttle to the terminal

Public Transportation.
Also, you are on the cruise right after ours. Look for ducks. We will be hiding about 25.

We're on Ovation May 27th. I booked the Mediterranean Inn (https://www.royalcaribbean.com/programs/book-a-hotel)and texted them regarding transfers. They have a private service from hotel to port for 10/pp. The same service transports from the airport to the hotel for a fee. I believe it's $65 for a party of 3. I'd text or call if you're interested.

I texted the Mediterranean Inn after booking. For the shuttle from the airport to the hotel, I'm to text them my flight info. For the airport shuttle, they advised we could set it up when we check in.

I've heard ginger candy helps, too. I doubt you'd find any on ship, though.

I tend to inadvertently book cruises. It just happens. So I know the feeling.

Check-in will open at midnight in whatever time zone from which your cruise is departing (so EDT in Florida, PDT in LA or Seattle/Vancouver, etc).
Yes, I was up at 2am my time to secure an early boarding time for my Alaskan cruise. 🙂

I was able to book a 6 hour excursion into the Yukon but it is bus only. It was the Yukon Discovery Tour through Southeasttours.com I e-mailed them to make sure it was still on and this is the reply I got back:

DDD reacted to Moby Dick in Covid tests
I'd get the government's telehealth test kits, they're free. It only costs about 20 bucks to do the proctored telehealth test.
Some in here have said that ONLY the Abbott test kit is authorized by Royal Caribbean. But, I have yet had anybody show where Royal has said so. If it is true that Royal only accepts Abbott tests, we are owed the facts, I have 8 of the Free Government ihealth/telehealth test kits, I've got 27 days left until I leave for my cruise. I've checked in Royal's own website and the Government's test kits meet Royal's requirements. I have not found the words, "Only Abbott's Test Kits Are Acceptable for Pre-Cruise Telehealth COVID Tests" or words in anyway like that, in Royal's website.
So, please, if you have verification that Royal will not accept any other test kit other than the Abbott test kit results, post it. Right now, I'm fairly sure that there are several people sitting on the fence and may wind up spending money that they could be using on an excursion, T-Shirt(s), a few Margaritas, whatever. This is unfair to create doubt where there may not be the need for it or going with the Government's test kits and be turned away at the Terminal. Right now, I'm planning on using the Government's test kit.
IF YOU KNOW THAT ROYAL WILL NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE ABBOTT TEST KITS, SHOW OR LINK TO THE OFFICIAL DOCUMENTATION THAT STATES SO! THIS IS TOO IMPORTANT! IF YOU CREATED THE DOUBT, YOU OWN IT TO EVERYONE TO ELEVIATE THE DOUBT.

DDD reacted to HeWhoWaits in Check in info
Only if your cruise departs from a port on Eastern time. Just checked in overnight for an Alaska cruise from Seattle. The check in DID NOT open at midnight Eastern (that would have been convenient since I was still up after watching the NCAA Championship Game). I stirred awake at 2:20 a.m. Eastern and verified that check in was still not available (app or online). When I was awakened by a clap of thunder at 4:15 a.m. check in was available.
Midnight in the time zone of the cruise departure is a more accurate description.

Have a very similar situation going on. Started out great, now I don't get emails or phone messages returned. Figured I'd allow the reservations I have in place run their course, but started making direct bookings until I can find a TA who'll do their job.

Based upon the posts in this forum by MEI agent(s) and the email response I receive from an agent, wish I could remember her name, to my almost booking with MEI, I'll be calling in the future. Well done, MEI, well done!
Your number is BR549, right! 😉 Sorry if you're too young to know what that is!

DDD reacted to jupiter03 in Dumping your Travel Agent
Yes, you can fire a travel agent. I wrote a very similar post awhile ago about my terrible TA who started dodging my calls/emails and dropped off the face of the earth. To claw back your reservation from royal, send an email to [email protected]. You will need your:
1) Booking #
2) Ship
3) Sail Date
4) Guests
5) Reason why I want it out of the TA and back to RCCL.
If you are past final payment, you will not be able to claw the reservation back. In my case, I had to pretty much beg my old TA to just cancel the reservation (This was during CWC, so I just took the FCC and booked a new cruise with a new TA).

By the Way, there are many TAs in here that may be able to answer that for you. They may be a little hesitant to do so, thought. They many not want to seem like they are poaching. 🤭
