The removal of the Burger is mystifying. The last few video reviews I've seen seem to show they've screwed with the "Epic Brownie" too. They really cant stop crapifying everything they touch lately can they?

I'm going to assume Crown's Edge won't be in operation while in port for two reasons. First, Royal can't really control the airspace around their ship. For example, if somebody flies a drone in then suddenly there's a potential safety hazard outside the company's control. Two, if there's any accidents on the line then there's less witnesses (and recordings) in the middle of the ocean. An accident in port means there's a chance somebody just made an excellent recording from a good vantage point (and uploaded to the Internet a short while later).

I think with the roll out of Star Link they've changed a lot of things with VOOM.  Prior to Star Link they use to have VOOM surf and also VOOM surf & stream.  Now they just have VOOM surf & stream they've gotten rid of the VOOM surf only package.
Also you are correct they have gotten rid of the bundle package where you could bundle any beverage package with an internet package to save a few bucks.  Now each package must be purchase separately.

I had originally ignored this topic. But I have to point out to those who think/say just get more etc. If being thin cut causes the poor quality and people are forced to try multiple pieces to get a good one, it's a classic example of a false savings on Royals part. I've left 5 or 6 plates full of food on my last 2 trips at every Windjammer meal because of poor choice ingredients, poor cuts of meat, etc etc. The basics of the ingredients are there. The economic poor choice execution saves nothing in long run when folks try plate after plate for a good one. What's the point of access to more if a cut is too thin and causes dry rubber bad taste etc? The first thing your tought in a professional kitchen is doing it right in the first place saves money in the long run. This is where Royal is failing lately.

Half of the year in the Caribbean is hurricane season.

To go with the flow you have to get in the flow to go with. Go enjoy your cruise and adapt, if necessary, as necessary

Seems like Mr. Liberty is tone deaf and I worry about the long term success of Royal with him at the helm. Why would you release this after just coming out with the news of record profits and making $1B last quarter. I totally get that they lost a crap ton of money during the stupid shutdown and have loans and stuff to pay back. But seriously, maybe do this like 2 months from now instead right after telling everyone how you are swimming in profits and are now going to find a way to take more of their money.

I agree with those that have expressed disappointment with the changes.  Increasing gratuities is fine (a sign of the times) but when reducing services at the same time it's a recipe for disaster.
Now that former CFO is in charge, expect more of this ......
RCL reported Net Income for the third quarter of $1.0 billion compared to Net Income of $33.0 million or $0.13 per share for the same period in the prior year.

I always prepay my gratuity. I don't think this is such big deal to me that I would be upset. However, this is slightly getting out of hand when everything is going up, but quality and service is decreasing.

I had a few cruises where I had not already requested prepaid grats.  I was surprised....I thought I had taken care of that on all of my booked cruises.  Pays to check, I guess.  Pretty easy to get them added.  Should be set to go now.  So annoying though....They are so tone deaf on these "cruise enhancement" combinations - reducing services in combination with increasing prices and fees.

If you like meat so thin that it can't sit on the warming trays for more than 2 minutes before being as dry as shoe leather, then sure get all you want. If you want to guarantee that no one finishes more than one bite of a dish and then chucks the rest, then this is the right move. If you're idea is that people will eat less if you make the food terrible, then this is definitely the way to go.

If you're okay with paying more and getting less again and again and again, then by all means keep defending them. They'll get to something you do care about eventually. And at the rate they are going, it won't take long.

Wow! I've had pork chops in the WJ before and they were cut like what most people would know as standard pork chops. What we had on Oasis tody was less than an eighth of an inch thick. Barely thicker than lunch meat. What a disgrace. The pork schnitzel the previous night was easily twice as thick. And that dish is supposed to be pounded out thin! The race to the bottom continues unabated unfortunately...

Last year, I stayed onboard at Coco Cay due to a little hangover. Talk about a dead ship. That's the closest thing to having a ship to myself as I'll probably ever get. Me and about 4 dozen folks. LOL. (Probably more like a couple hundred) Lunch at the WJ is basically the same as on the Island, but a few more items and a lot more deserts. And they close down at least half the serving stations. The most relaxing WJ experience I've ever had. If you been to Coco Cay a lot, I recommend skipping it occasionally for a change of pace. And the Casino is open while in Coco Cay too.

I know pricing is going to be crazy for this new ship.   I will have to wait for her to come to Jersey.  I figure if Symphony and Odyssey made, maybe Icon and Star will too.  Although I’m still waiting on Wonder to come.  Already booked on Icon with a family group of 40 people .

    Strongly disagree.
Fresh hot chicken sandwiches, mozz sticks, funnel cake at the Snack Shacks... nothing like any of those in any WJ I've been in. My ongoing wish is that they put a Snack Shack onboard the ships (replace the Dog House).
The Grill buffets are more similar I guess, but the taco bar is similar to EL Loco Fresh, not WJ, and not all ships have ELF.
The similar items are hot dogs and hamburgers and I never eat those on CocoCay, the other stuff is much better, IMO.

We have rushed over, and eased over, and have always been able to find good seating.  We did head back early last January to watch the Bengals-Bills playoff game by the pool.  Watching a snowy football game when it is 80 on the pool deck is a great experience.  While not many people there, there were enough to make the one poor guy behind the pool bar a busy man, and a long line was the result until staff started coming back on the ship.
