Not sure how far out your sailing is, it should show you on each day calendar around the 6p time slot.... but if it's not...If you go in the app and change to the most current sailing, you can see what's going on each day.   You can also get access to MDR menus and what their theme is for the night.  Hope that helps.

@TheMick424...It was just shared with me on our FB group that if you go in the app and select the current sailing, you should be able to see the menu for Solarium Bistro...same with MDR.  We are trying to plan our dinners accordingly and this really helped..

I don't think they tender any ships there and only room for 2 to tie up at pier...

This seems to be a very YMMV policy. It varies ship to ship, server to server. @Truly108 Go with the expectation of multiple apps and deserts, and one entree. Then ask and you may be pleasantly surprised.

Having lived on St. Thomas and done the car and passenger ferry to St. John many times I'd be very careful doing this on your own.  7am to 3pm is not a long time in port and the ferry service is run on island time.  On good days it runs fine and close to schedule.  Then it doesn't.  
Even the ship booked excursion to St. John leaves little time on the beach, often less than an hour.  There is a reason for that.  They purposely leave early coming back because they know.  
Just taking the taxi to Red Hook and back can have challenges.  If the road is blocked one way it can turn into a very long trip back the only other way to get back.  
When we ran into bad traffic we usually went home and tried another day.  That option doesn't work well during a visit on a cruise ship. 

With the packages you HAVE to wait until you board, that's the tradeoff for the discount. 

That's unfortunate, for sure. Maybe something you can mention in the survey at the end of your cruise and something you'd like to see in the future; the ability to book all your UDP nights via the app?

I think you can book them on the app, but not until you are on board.  That's the trade-off with any dining package - book on board for a discount or book in advance at full price.

We used it 2x and had no issues.  I do a lot of research prior to booking and the rates I got from them were within a few bucks of what I was able to find on travel sites as well as direct with the airline.  The upside is, if there's an issue with flights, they will handle getting you where you need to go.  As for hotels, I don't know if they do that..>I think they do but didn't use them for that part.   I did find some okay deals on Air BnB for our cruise out of Miami...found a South Beach Studio for less than some of the hotels out by port.

If you are on an Oasis or Quantum Class ship, consider the Solarium Bistro for breakfast. It's rarely very crowded, and even when crowded, the crowd doesn't compare to the Windjammer.  It's a smaller buffet but has a good selection of breakfast items, and usually an omelette station.
