Spot on regarding the SeaPlex, it is a catch all. A space just for the bumper cars and laser tag would be ideal, but still a beautiful ship.

My husband got covid under the cruise with confidence, we were on transatlantic, he was in quarantine 9 days. They credited him for the 9 days, not me as I was not quarantined. 

I think you should be grateful they still want to refund anything since we're long past the pandemic.

They need to pay off some more debt first. In the meantime, you can get onboard credit every time you cruise if you own 100 or more shares. That's sort of like a dividend.

Yup..I hold onto the smaller bills to use as tips. I never spend cash in real life..Can't get credit card points on cash purchases 😂

Day 7 on Icon and it’s been a royale butt kicking from the casino. I did receive a bottle of Mondavi “vintage 2020” and a nice 9000 point certificate. The casino is very nice with plenty of space and machine/table variety. I return to Icon for Thanksgiving and hope to turn my luck around. Icon has been AWESOME outside the casino!!!!!

As @OCSC Mike states it’s hard to determine your possible CK access. I want to say another  variable at play is also how many pins are sailing that particular cruise as they have CK access as well. 

For the sake of argument let's assume I just got back from dinner at Wonderland and I now have a hunger for a Ribeye from Chops.  Where do I call to get it delivered to my room?  Do I call the restaurant directly or go through the regular room service number?  
Of course, I am asking for a friend!!  😆

It's not that it's a ship to be avoided, it's that it was already home ported in Galveston last year. It seems like a step back going to the same ship (even if it really isn't because of the upcoming amp).  I think even having Oasis home ported in Galveston instead of Allure would've been received better since it would be a different ship.
Michael Bayley also really screwed up this deployment imo by implying the next ship would be Wonder.  Any ship other than an Icon class or Utopia was not going to be received well after that.  I know I was extremely disappointed after the official announcement when I probably wouldn't have been without thinking Wonder was next.

So practically speaking, instead of taking cash for casino play, I am better off charging my casino play (slots) to my Seapass card, which is charged without fee, to my new 3% cash back credit card?
In effect, the $100 room charge is theoretically $97.

Thats the way it works!  Just don't go too wild, you still have to pay the bill at the end of the month.

I had heard this as well... and after a quick check, RCL already has several 2026 dates available for booking:

Allure out of Galveston 2026:
March 17 - 22 (5 night) March 22 - 29 (7 night) March 29 - April 5 (7 night) April 5 - 12 (7 night) April 19 - 26 (7 night)

Agreed, it seem, it would have been more fitting, to have newer release as their primary ship, doing 7 itineraries, as well as the occasional 6 or 8 day itineraries. Leave the short 3-5 day itineraries, in Florida, to the more aged; but amped, Oasis & Allure otS. The business concept appear backwards to me. To garner more fans of cruising, to the Galveston port, with shiny new terminal, I would think Royal would put its best feet forward, with the likes of Utopia, Wonder, or even Odyssey. And, as you say about the Western Caribbean not being one of the more exciting destinations, a newer ship, with all the latest techno toys, would do 'Wonders', pun intended, in elevating that market even more.

I’m not sure if Hooked will be on there but I’d bet anything that Playmakers will be on the amped Allure along with the Lime & Coconut Bars with an upgraded Pool Area.

With what RCCL just did I won’t be surprised if they bring Voyager back. Yesterday was such a disappointing start to my day. I was so excited to see what kind of prices I could find on Symphony or Wonder just to realize we’re getting allure 😭 Not to sound ungrateful or anything but I seriously was expecting something new especially with Carnival Jubilee, MSC Seascape and Norwegian Prima (Which swaps with Viva in 2025). At the same time though I shouldn’t have been to expectant about Symphony coming to Galveston. It would’ve only done 2 summer seasons out of Cape Liberty and I don’t know exactly how long an oasis class stays on there but I know it’s longer than 2 summers (If anyone knows please tell me I would appreciate it). Who knows? Maybe next year when they release 2026-27 itineraries maybe Symphony will be ready for a swap to Galveston? Usually they keep an oasis class in Galveston down here in Galveston for a couple years and Allure already has a year worth of sailings from last year. I guess we will find out soon.
