Does anyone know the Harmony’s concierge email? I ask because a friend of our suffered a stroke onboard a few weeks ago and was helicoptered off the ship to a hospital in Florida. The family is trying to reach someone on the ship who might know more info regarding what happened. @Matt do you know who they should reach out to? He was sailing solo in a suite. Thanks for your help. 

That is good to hear. I am just not sure he listed any contacts. His son would have been that contact (Marty was divorced). I gave him the concierge contact - I am hoping the concierge can at least put him in contact with someone on the cruise team. My friend is in hospice and not able to tell anyone what happened which is why the family is trying to reach out to find out what happened onboard.

Sorry about your friend. I'm not sure the concierge would know anything given it was a few weeks ago already.

The US federal employee mandate expires June 20.  Obviously that's not at all related to cruising but it does show a shift is happening.

Admittedly, on the post cruise survey referenced in the article I responded that there were too many protocols, but it wouldn't stop me from cruising again with the same protocols.

This will never stop. Just as people with colds and other contagious bugs get on ships every day.  The big question is how to deal with covid cases on board. The next step is to get rid of the quarantine floors and just let people recover in their rooms like we do everything else that just requires OTC meds and rest to shake.

Not looking for an argument but stating my thoughts that have been eating at me for awhile now:
So not only would I love to see the pre-cruise testing stop…how about allowing the unvaccinated back onboard?
I have never taken sides and I do not think it is my place to do so.  I am me…and nobody else.
I am vaccinated and boosted (twice) and got COVID for the first time 2 weeks ago after returning from a family vacation to Disney.  There were nine of us and only 2 did not get sick…both unvaccinated!  

I think this virus is pretty close to becoming our next head cold or flu.  Some will get very sick…some will have mild symptoms…some will never get sick!  So…….why are the unvaccinated still being penalized this late in the game?
I certainly hope my thoughts here do not start a war on words…but I feel better having finally stated how I think. 

Society is learning to live with the virus.  The end of pre-cruise testing is a step in that process just as society has adapted to live with other viruses.  
The calls for change are the beginning.  The question is... will the CDC make the change?  They've been slow to change cruise ship policies throughout this pandemic.

I have tried to book shore excursions through cruise planner and it just "spins" when I go to add it to the cart.  This is in both firefox and Edge.  I tried to check prices using private window in both firefox and Edge and get "OOPS Something Went Wrong" error screen.  Tried to see if I could look at the pricing of a very small 2 day cruise and get the same thing.  Anyone else having issues?

Neither do we! I had my booster - I got COVID! 

It's certainly good news but even though Italy and Greece have lifted the restrictions (and those are my destinations on my cruise this coming Saturday) we still have to test to get on the ship. 😭
Once those demon Q-tip sentries guarding the gangway finally go away then I will feel really able to celebrate and enjoy the pre-cruise anticipation and excitement that I always felt in the past.

Needs to happen immediately.  What a pointless waste of time and resources at this point.  

I hope this comes to pass-- we really do not want the boosters either.  I spent some time on the Italian Ministries website-- and to me, it appears the only thing to have actually changed for travelers on May 1 was that a PLF (passenger locator form) is no longer required.  Masking on all forms of public transport (KN95/ffp2) continues until 6/15.  I have not been able to find anything that says the green pass is no longer required (for things other than medical, nursing homes, etc...)-- which to get the green pass you have to have been boosted/cert of recovery/or negative antigen (2days)/molecular 3 days).  I have found other sources that have said it's supposed to be dropped as of May 1 but haven't found an official source that says that it actually happened.  If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be so grateful!  (If it has really been dropped, I pray that RCL changes policy immediately about having to be tested before every Italy/Greece port for those not boosted--- 6/19 cruise and am considering converting to land based if we have to test every other day. ) 

Hopefully this means no more “within 270 days of vaccination” too. I really didn’t want the booster.

I got confirmation from RoyalUp on Day 2 that my bid was not accepted ... seems to confirm they were still weighing options on Day 1. Frankly i would not have been happy to find out on Day 2 of a 3 night cruise that my upgrade was accepted and i was being charged and expected to change cabins.
Probably just convinced me not to bid on anymore RoyalUp options for short cruises right there.
