They  have sales every couple of weeks.  It should say on the Cruise Planner or promo email how long the sale lasts.  $53/day isn't a bad price for Symphony.  I'd jump on it and you can always cancel and rebook if the price goes down even further.

Seems to me CLIA and the rest of the industry needs to have some better lobbyists and PACs.

Or maybe people want something to look forward to...especially after the last few months.

@bobroo There have been lockdowns, public schooling at home, food shortages, paper products and disinfectant shortages, unpaid furloughs from work, deaths of family and friends to which we were not able to have funerals. Now we have protests, riots, civil unrest, the possibility of more lockdowns due to a spike in some areas, and just plain bad news streaming from everywhere. WE ALL NEED A BREAK! We all have thousands of dollars tied up in our cruises and the thought of that much money being in limbo or some of it not returned isn't something any of us want to think about either. I don't think our stomach is in knots, but it is one more stressor to an already stressful 3 or 4 months.

You can always go to the Cruise Compass section of the Blog and see the activities on your ship. It may change slightly but most will hold true to form.

Only if my livelyhood doesn't depend on it. I feel for these TAs, as I'm sure it does make them uneasy. For me, not a big knot. Probably more like gas. ?

My husband and I were just talking about what we want to do if one or both of our cruises get cancelled. We won't be booking airfare for our December cruise until September or October so we are hoping by then we will have a more comfortable feeling about the fate of our vacation...BUT. We know things can change last minute so we figured out how to create a backup plan.
Our cruise in December leaves from Orlando which is awesome because there are so many different kinds of vacations you can do there. Coming from Ohio anything is going to feel like a vacation, and although a cruise is our top pick......WE AREN'T BEING PICKY LOL. We are planning a mini Disney vacation just in case our cruise cancels. If both cruises cancel then the second one (Symphony in January) we will just lift and shift. 
I'm not sure where your cruise port is but if it's in a good tourist area you might not be 100% out of luck. Anywho this is just an idea and hopefully you all still get to go!

This is an excellent article for everyone to share on their social media. Perception versus reality of cruise ships. Most all of us can relate to the measures taken to keep us healthy onboard. Now it’s time we let Joe Public know that ships aren’t the Petri dishes they’ve been led to believe they are.

It's a lot closer to your sail date, perhaps 30 days or so. But there is no exact timeframe.

There's really no way to know when entertainment reservations will open for your sailing.  The rule of thumb is 60 - 90 days, but I will mention that the entertainment reservations have not yet opened up for my 1 August Symphony sailing....not that I expect that sailing to happen...just sayin'.

I am looking forward to being a part of this forum. My husband is thrilled that I have someone besides him to discuss cruising with all day long!!!?
