With all of the bad going around I have been able to find a silver lining. I got in contact with my TA and let him know that I wanted to use my FCC for a rebooking in October. He said that it was already there to use and we are all set. We even get to upgrade from interior rooms to balcony rooms! My mom will now get an ocean view balcony to sit on and drink coffee in the mornings. My MIL and son will have a central park balcony. All I have to do now is wait on the cash refunds, which will probably take longer than I prefer. Now to just hang in there and pray that we ALL are back cruising again soon!

This! My husband and I went to Jamie's for the first time on Anthem. We decided to ask for half portions of our entrees because we knew we would overdo it on apps and dessert. We try not to waste food as much as possible so we figured that would be a good route to go. After ordering our apps (which the server decided to bring out 2 more on top of what we ordered) , he proceeded to bring out our half portions of our entrees with 6 other half portions to try as well lol. I'm waiting for Royal to add on an after dinner wheel-barrel service. But then again I guess I am always just looking for ways to spend extra money on our cruises. ?

US ban is still in place.
I could see people with US passports being turned away...or forced into own-expense 14 day quarantine. I understand that most places want those tourism dollars but think the EU will only allow visitors from places with low infection rates. I read the Forbes article as well. However, I also saw on Spain's tourism board something similar. The UK may not be mentioning the US in name as a banned place but I think other countries are.

I'll go.  Might be safer than staying here in the U.S.

Not surprising in the least. Only good thing I read there is that the list will be re-evaluated every two weeks to deal with the ebb and flow of the virus. So if the US can manage to get its "stuff" together and deal with this properly, we'll eventually be added on to that list.

Completely understandable.  Probably very smart on their part.  
I expect the Caribbean to do the same.  Why would any small nation want thousands of Americans and the virus infiltrating their country?

I decided to buy it. We have the funds to cancel and re-book, so we figured even if our refund takes a little extra times it's worth it. Our last cruise we waited too long to book and missed out on some really good sales. We try to wait until there is a price we feel is fair and then hope for better one ?

Just know that the cancel refund may take a lot longer than refunds from CP purchases prior to March 2020.  If you are okay with that, go for it!  It's just something to always consider.

I would go ahead and buy it. You can always cancel and rebuy if the price goes down. 

Since I booked our Feb 7n Rhapsody out of Tampa about 6 weeks ago, the UBP has gone on sail 3 times.  $61 off sale, $46 on sale.  I am disinclined to hand over more cash at this point given all the uncertainty surrounding cruising and the mess refunds are at present.   I will wait and watch.
