  1. Since the Black Friday sales are pretty good for some options I've been working through four upcoming cruises getting a few things. When I got to my June Alaska cruise it's cruise planner is the "new" format. In beverages there is no DBP+Zoom option. In internet there are no multiple device options? Have others seen this or is there someplace else I could see these
  2. Related to testing, anyone know if getting a COVID Booster 7 days before testing for a cruise would affect the test results?
  3. I'm not sure exactly how long mine took, it may have been two days. However I've found that when using the app you need to log out and log back in to get the latest data updated. Often the Vaccination line fails to display which is an indicator that you need to log out/in.
  4. When checking the status of the Vaccination, yesterday it was still being checked, today it disappeared. Had to log out and back in again to see it come back and it's now green checked. So it seems to make sure you have the latest info in the app you should log out and back in.
  5. I was wondering why I didn't have the option to load my vaccination card for my Dec 5th cruise, logged out of the app, logged back in and there it was. The message board strikes again.
  6. My Anthem itinerary changed the day and time we would be in Nassau. I cancelled the excursion I had booked that left at 10am, the ship doesn't arrive until 12:30pm. It took a couple of weeks before that same excursion showed up with a 2pm time. So I don't know if it would have been automatically updated.
  7. I flew home from FL Jan 21st, was sick by the 28th, Covid. Got my shots Feb and March. I had five flights since without obvious issues. I did have a couple days of fever in Sep, but who knows these days, could be a cold the flue or my darn allergies.
  8. I always prefer to drive. We're 5 hours to NJ where our next three cruises are. Then we have Ft Lauderdale, we currently have flights, but I've driven it twice before. It will depend on whether we decide to spend extra time in FL. I've driven to FL every year for vacation for the last 30 years. Used to be a two day drive, now that I'm retired and have the time I take three. Seattle in June, will definitely have to fly that one. An earlier comment about luggage is one reason having a mini-van to fill up means the DW can bring just about anything.
  9. I was in the Beach Club on Oasis last week, we got it for 96, I loved it but would not pay much more than 100. Now my Anthem cruise in Dec has switched the day we'll be there so that Freedom is there as well. I suspect that with two ships available for guests the Beach Club price is not going to drop much if at all.
  10. Well great, I'd totally forgotten about the changes to my Dec 5th Anthem cruise. I just booked today a Nassau excursion. It correctly selected Day 4 which is when we are there, but it's for 10am and we don't get there until 12:30pm. Cruise planner even knows I won't be there
  11. We tried it last week on Oasis. We did lunch, my wife and son loved it, I'm not a BBQ fan but found it was OK. My son actually ended up getting two meals out of his, there was just so much. Seems weird taking leftovers back to the cabin, but is nice for that midnight snack.
  12. So that explains why I have the same points as my wife, I should have 7 less. I'm doing a solo in Dec, so will those points get added to my "actual" count? So my actual should be 14 add the 28 from our just completed JS cruise that makes me 42 but my wife will be 49. Now my solo should get 28 points as a single in a regular cabin. That would move me to 70 and will move my wife up as well? Then we'll add 22 more for our Jan 11 night to get us to Diamond. Seems like allot of math could be involved.
  13. I got the same emails also around 8pm and I thought I had cancelled my bids
  14. I'm going to have to scramble now, CVS just canceled both my wife and my appointments we had for tomorrow for our Sunday cruise. Now it's to late to even get a Walgreens test as they are all gone. I'll have to check if there are any walk in clinics doing testing. I did get three of the home tests which will cover all three of us, but then I have no backup in case we mess one of them up. Follow up, I was able to book with my Primary Care Physician for tomorrow afternoon, this is so stressful I really need a cruise
  15. I plan on doing most of my meals in the MDR in 8 days. Made a big mistake on our last cruise. Booked an April cruise to Bermuda, didn't realize it was both school vacation and Easter. Windjammer was always way crowded.
  16. Obviously you cant cruise. You'll get some sort of refund. However I'm wondering if you could apply that refund to another cruise (that was already booked with double points) to upgrade you cabin class, would you still get the double points? Like paying to upgrade from a balcony to some sort of suite.
  17. If anyone gets a definitive answer please post it here. I also got my card laminated for safety the Staples where I did it was doing them for free so seemed like allot of people were doing it. On my card the stickers they used for my two shots cover all four of the printed lines so if they are doing boosters there is no room. I'm not sure what could be done if for some bizarre reason they would not accept a laminated card.
  18. I'm planning to book CVS for two days before our cruise. However I have also ordered 3 at home tests just in case.
  19. My Dec 5th check in is now gone, moved to Oct 21, I'll be on Oasis so will have to remember to check in. Our Oct 17th Oasis cruise documents were available Sep 18th.
  20. We're on the same sailing. Since we drive down from New Hampshire we'll have some warmer gear, but can leave things like heavier coats in the car. As @BrianB said, weather can be fickle, we've had snow that time of year in NH.
  21. My son gets tested twice a week for his work. However, he takes a Quest Diagnostic home test and mails it in, usually gets his results in 2 days. I'm starting to wonder if this would even be accepted. There is way for anyone to know if he was the actual tester, sort of like the non-proctored at home tests. We're definitely booking our CVS tests as soon as they show up two weeks out and I'll have him get one as well. I'm also leaning towards getting some of the at home tests, I've been concerned about the expiration dates, we have an October cruise then Jan 9th, which seems to fall beyond the exasperation dates.
  22. And now I got another e-mail offering royal up for this Oct 17th cruise, I'm just going to skip it. Our accessible JS is actually larger than the GS 1 bedroom, and I think my wife would have trouble with the bath/shower.
  23. @BrianB No, that was how I got the not eligible message. If I try the Cruise Room Upgrade page, I get the please ensure your cruise is within the next thirty days. I'll wait a few days and try again, then I'll be inside the 30 day window.
  24. I had placed a couple bids for our Oasis Oct 17 sailing. We just booked Wonder for March 25th 2022, so I decided to cancel the bids. I can no longer access my bids, get a message that it's not eligible for upgrade? I'm hoping that means my bids are gone, we're already in a JS and was just low balling a GS bid.
  25. My credit was applied for my Dec 5th cruise today. I had already had it applied to three of my cruises last December which included a June 22 Alaska cruise. Tried this time to do my Dec cruise and a Jan 23 cruise, Dec is there so far not on the 23 cruise.
