So I looked up nonstop airfare from EWR and JFK to Bermuda. Least expensive flight that includes a checked bag per person was $1,000 for a single American flight in "Main Cabin" (basic economy only allowed one carry-on); JetBlue was more expensive even with their bottom-tier price that includes checked bag but no carry-on, and it only went up from there with other airlines.
Talked about with my wife, and between that cost on top of expected cruise fare and the fact that we'll still have to wear masks in Bermuda and take the additional Covid tests per their gov't requirements, it was just too much. Not going to book this, as much as I want to.

Tony from La Lido Loca has interesting take on this on his YouTube channel. The latest public health emergency order expires on April 21. If it is not renewed the CSO becomes null and void. Given Biden’s new goal of having 200 million vaccinations administered in 100 days there could be reason (both scientific and political) not to renew the public health emergency order.
This may be optimistic but has some merit and is an interesting consideration.

You could become @Matt's European blogging intern...then all cruising would become "work related" travel ?

Initially the vaccination requirement may do a bit of weeding out since people who don't want to get vaccinated or are unable to do so in time will have to cancel.
The other way I can see is that cancelling a whole programme, such as we have just seen done with Adventure and Jewel allows the new itineraries to be capacity controlled.

I will sail in place of anyone who wants to take advantage of the bonus points but can’t actually sail. $50 for a 17 year old Eastern European to make the required documentation. I will absorb this cost and pay daily gratuities. Imagine, climbing the Crown and Anchor ladder without taking a step!

My cruise tracking spreadsheet grows more complex every year.  The double points promo has my spreadsheet on fire.
The price per point right now makes it a great time for any CAS ladder climbers out there!

What is harder for us cruise guests to see are the economics of each ship involved.
Newer ships have economies of scale but they also have a threshold below which it wouldn't make sense to operate.  If the cutoff to break even is 2,500 guests as a SWAG on either ship, can they sustain that load over two months every week?  Maybe they can reach that load on the first two cruises but can't sustain that load for the entire "season" every week.
Operating the ship but losing tens of thousands each week doesn't make business sense.
I'm not saying that is the forecast but it's an unknown that is really hard for us mere guests to understand.

And of those two, I would guess Harmony is the more-limited ship in that regard (required draft, docks that can handle her length / size / height, etc). But IIRC, Harmony would be "new" for the UK where Anthem has already been sailing from there for a few years. So I'd wager on Royal drumming up higher interest through putting Harmony in Southampton and finding another place (if any right now) for Anthem.

Well, they have been busy announcing redeployments of 3 other ships. Maybe UK is still to come?

Probably hoping to sail with established cruises.
Something may be in the works for Harmony based on circumstantial evidence.
Ships in that region are Jewel, Anthem and Harmony.  Jewel is spoken for.  Anthem and Harmony are options but may have limited ports to call on in the UK due to size.

So today Disney cruise line have announced they will be offering domestic UK cruises for the 2021 summer season joining a very long list of cruise lines to announce UK cruises to restart this summer (P&O, Cunard, MSC, Princess, Viking, and now Disney). I wonder why Royal haven’t announced any yet? And given the fact they are legally able to resume from May 17th and they have announced several other cruises resuming elsewhere from June onwards, I don’t understand why they haven’t announced any to resume in the UK yet?

I agree in that they will wait to determine full breadth of policies/changes.
Back to @wordell1 question, I highly doubt vaccines will not be required for June sailings.
In my not-a-doctor opinion, I don't see that requirement going anywhere until Covid numbers really start falling. If nothing else, it's good optics in the court of public opinion.

This has become the most commonly asked question but we still don't know.
Speculation is futile. I'm booked and will follow whatever they ask of me.

The cruises out of Israel still have pretty much full covid restrictions despite all passengers being vaccinated.  Any thoughts on some of these being lifted by June?  Since the CDC itself says that vaccinated people can gather in small groups(without masks), it seems that the full court press should give a little.

I am booked on June 12 and will go either way

Some I'd like lifted at a minimum.
Masks outside - to me they should be restricted to inside places where social distancing cannot be maintained, or eliminated completely(I know this won't happen)
Extreme social distancing, especially outside - I'm hoping that we won't be fighting over time at the pool.

    I'm not sure that's Royal's problem.
Royal didn't limit guest nationality in Nassau.  If the Bahamas won't allow a citizen of some foreign country to enter the country that isn't for Royal to determine, that is up to each guest to validate any visas or other documentation required.
