That is why early dinner is nice....Eat a multi-course dinner in the MDR and then hit up the buffet around 8:30PM acting like a Hobbit asking for second dinner.....

I have always been told to leave them in your safe in your room and take photocopies of them and your cruise cards.

I agree! The masks are a deal-breaker for me. We are taking a warm weather cruise. Masks will honestly be a danger in heat. Plus, keeping it on my young son would be challenging at best.....He hates, hates, hates anything near his ears.....

I can live with these guidelines. Similar to what American Queen put out. No mandatory masks for passengers is a plus!

I like to think I'm just realistic, but apparently others see it another way, lol. I promise I'm fun in person, though! lol

They told me 45 days when I called at the 15 day mark... I was not happy.

I had ultimate dining plan, so it was usually dinner around 6 and playmakers around 10

I still believe that this was much ado about nothing. All of the consequences, including the extended loss of cruising, are the result of the overreaction and the senseless political battle that this all has become.

The process of banging on the door made me laugh and me me think of the old Mervyn's ads where the person was saying "open, open, open."

jaredhamburg got a reaction from ehw51 in The KEY on Sale!
Just snagged it for $16.99/per person/per day for my sailing in late September 2020. We were buying the Internet anyway and wanted the special meals coming and going....Plus, being expedited coming and going could be very useful in the coming months. I am not sure how social distancing will work with a large queue trying to get off of the ship, but I think having a way to skip it could give a lot of peace of mind. I just want to use The Key to hit the easy button for the cruise.
PS - I know there are different thoughts on the value of the key, but it was quite economical when comparing it and the other perks to just the Internet, which we need to have (medical reasons....otherwise, it would be in a no data mode just as a camera....).

On Oasis class you can bang on the door to get the attention of the host/hostess or tailgate and follow someone in. I've had success calling them over on the phone. On Oasis the ext. is/was 29190.
On Quantum class the host/hostess stand is in the hall outside of Coastal Kitchen so it's easier to just walk right up to them.

I was thinking along the same line as you. We have a junior suite in October so we get to use the expedited line, but I might still buy the key anyway for ease off the ship. As far as November we are trying two of those adjoining panoramic rooms up top. I already purchased the key for that one.
The lunch coming on and bfast getting off is very nice in my opinion too. Get to avoid the WJ during 2 of the craziest rushes... priceless hahaha

jaredhamburg got a reaction from WAAAYTOOO in Splitting up FCC?
I had a similar-ish experience with cruise credits. I was on a kids sail free cruise, but our refund was divided equally among the two adults and two kids. I booked a subsequent kids sail free cruise for the four of us, and they would not let us use the FCC for the kids. I explained how the credit was given for a kids sail free cruise and there was no cruise fare for them and that it all should have been in my the adults' names. Well, the customer rep was probably having a bad day (how can you not with some very grouchy customers in a weird economic time?); but he told me I should be thankful to get anything. I then asked to talk to a supervisor who was able to apply it all correctly. So....do not take no too easily.....the supervisor was good at trying to help me be made whole.

There's a group working on Covid-19-sniffing dogs, too, which sounds WAY cooler to me.

Like other tourism-dependent locations, the islands of The Bahamas have taken a major economic hit in recent months. But Bahamian prime minister Hubert Minnis says that things could slowly be changing.
While addressing his constituency on Sunday, the politician said, “Our resorts, our airports and our seaports are finalizing the health and safety protocols that will be necessary for us to provide for a re-opening.”
He then acknowledged that the plan was to try and re-open the country on or before July 1.
