If your spouse is in the same cabin as you, no. If one adult buys the Deluxe Beverage Package, then all other adults in the same room must buy it too.
Best you could do is call Royal and your spouse could get the non-alcoholic drink package (Royal Refreshment).

Yes but you need to call and request this but you will need to buy one refreshment package as well. We did this on Harmony earlier this year.

No, only adults count. The point of the policy is to prevent adults from "sharing" one DBP. It's a moot point with a minor.

When I picked all the ones I wanted from the kiosk, on my app they showed up right away without the watermark before I received the link. This way I could download it myself by saving each image manually. Then a few hours later I received the link. This is a new way to do it with the app so not sure if this is the norm but it worked for me.

If we’re going to be honest here, I think many people (me included) just hate the idea that there’s some place on the ship (whether it’s a “nice” venue or not) that they canNOT go.  The D/CL/SL is one of those places for some people.  I don’t often frequent the DL/CL but I COULD go if I wanted to.  When you no longer have that option, it’s disappointing.

So agree.  Royal has a very unfortunate pattern on making an unfavorable change followed far-too-soon by another even more, unfavorable change.  Eg, (1) saying that Hideaway Beach would be complimentary and then announcing a significant admission upcharge, (2), "THERE WILL BE NO CHANGE IN ADMISSION TO THE CROWN LOUNGE" followed by an almost immediate announcement of potentially limiting Diamonds' access during certain hours and (3) Increasing gratuities while simultaneously reducing the service provided (once a day room servicing).
You would think that the marketeers would have shouted - At least let a LITTLE time pass before immediately making us look like liars/money-grubbing scoundrels !

I also really hate the move to shorty cruises but they are obviously doing everything they can to maximize the exposure to PDCC.  The 7 night Sat/Sun turnarounds leave gaping holes in PDCCs weekday schedule so they are going to stagger the 3/4/5 night itins to fill those holes during the weekdays.
Going to PDCC multiple times in a row is fine with me.  I don’t get off the ship anyway. …but having to embark and disembark OR just reprocess (if on B2B or more) multiple times is an enormous PITA.  I think many cruisers will quickly tire of this short-sighted (pun intended) plan. It may help them in the short term but I doubt it’s a real solution, long term. JMHO

We boarded Mariner on 10-13-21 and our welcome letter says nothing about limiting access to Diamonds any time of the day/night.  This week, due to the number of Pinns onboard, Pinns are not permitted into the Suites Lounge but next week (our first week as Pinns), we will be allowed in !  Yippee !  Forgive the sideways image.

I got a couple of future cruises booked. I realize how lucky I am to be able to cruise often and to live close to a port. I’m a glass half full optimist and always look for the best in life and in people.
I’m addicted to the cruise life. I love the service, the crew and the food. Even if a meal may sometimes be a little bit off… it’s understandable that constant perfection is not possible on such an enormous scale. My servers are always anxious to please and will make any change or addition that I request. In fact, on all my cruises, I have never sent something back. But, that’s just me.
As far as the vouchers are concerned, I’m not a big drinker so I never use my six.. Usually two a day.
I like and appreciate the perks of my loyalty status. I mean, they can come and go at any time as the company sees fit to tweak them…either expanding, adjusting or even removing something.
As Super Mario has said time and again…the free WiFi perk that comes with reaching P is a big thing. I agree. I very much appreciate not being charged for WiFi every cruise. I thought the company might have reconsidered that perk post-shutdown when StarLink was added and prices went up. They could have easily justified removing the free WiFi and offering it at a discounted price. But they didn’t.
I don’t really frequent the loyalty lounges except maybe in the early morning for coffee. At that time they are usually sparsely occupied. I’m not a big conversationalist and can usually, if not always, be seen working on my iPad…or reading my smartphone.
    I consider myself ‘low maintenance’…lol.
But, that’s just me…and this is just my opinion.

YellowBrickRoad reacted to WAAAYTOOO in tipping on back-to-back cruises
We always, always, always tip as we go.  We have learned over the years that you can never depend on having the same staff from day-to-day or meal-to-meal.  We’ve had room stewards change in the middle of a sailing.  You just never know so we tip as we go along…at every meal and with very drink we receive.  On our last B2B (SY) our room steward changed decks on the second leg of our B2B.  Good thing we had tipped her before the end of leg #1.
The last thing I want to do when trying to “wrap things up” is go try and find someone to give them a tip.

Just to reiterate my thoughts are first with the people and tourists in Maui impacted.  I have a loved one who was there just two days prior who flew home having enjoyed her visit to Maui.  The resort where she stayed just a few days prior was lost in the fire.   Having sailed on an Ovation Hawaii cruise myself that spent the night in Lahaina the news and pictures are so sad.  It's all strikes very close to my heart and home.  There are few words.
Having had a number of cruises altered or cancelled over the years I completely feel for everyone who has had a cruise impacted by the wildfires on Maui.  Those experiences have taught me there are stages to manage through with a cruise impacted like this.  Disappointment, anger, upset, bitterness,  etc. will make way to acceptance and the realization that sometimes there is just nothing that anyone could have done to effect a different outcome.  We may not like the manner it's handled, or the communication, but at the end of the day the outcome is the same.   Could they have handled it better?  Absolutely, yet the outcome would still be the same.
I was fortunate that my Ovation itinerary included The Nāpali coast,  Lahaina and Kailua-Kona.  Even that was a little light on Hawaii compared to the typical Radiance class itinerary back in 2018 and 2019.  As Royal often does with repositioning cruises they seem to put on emphasis on getting there quickly so the ship can can back into full production at its new home port as quickly as possible.  The recent Hawaii itineraries have been less appealing to me for the lack of stops and the "get-there-itis" mentality that many transatlantics also seem to suffer from these days.
That is one of the issues here and now with just one Hawaiian port of call visit on the current itineraries before debarking in Honolulu.  It should also serve as a note for future consideration for any cruise itinerary with a single critical port of call that defines the cruise.   Stuff happens completely out of anyone's control including the cruise line and in places like Hawaii there just is no way to recover or make up an equivalent experience.  Note to self.
I'm glad to see refunds are being offered.   Hopefully those impacted can manage through this and cruise to Hawaii another time.

YellowBrickRoad reacted to WAAAYTOOO in Are Luggage tags required for carry on?
I always tag all of my bags, including my carry-ons.
    1.  I have an easy way to recall which cabin I am in !!
    2.  If the carry-ons somehow become separated from me, the crew will know where to deliver the stray bag.

It is not uncommon, however, for people to put tags on their carry-ons, just in case they accidentally leave them sitting somewhere and they walk away.

My experience last week on Oasis in the MDR…several of the men in my family group ordered quite a bit each night.  At least 2 appetizers, 2 main meals as well as 2 desserts.  Appetizers came out together.  Main meals came out together most nights and one at a time just once.  Desserts came out together.
Once or twice… I ordered a couple of extra dishes for the table and they came out with all the meals.

We had a great time…all 17 of us!  My grandkids keep asking when is our next cruise!  They enjoyed everything, especially having the freedom to roam around and do their own thing!  It was nice to my daughters enjoying time with their hubbies with the kids popping in here and there.
Adding a picture of the group on white night.

Well the time is just about here.  Today we all completed the health questions and I am just about fully packed.  31 hours from this very minute we will be in our vehicles, driving on 95S…heading to the port.  That gives us plenty of time for a stop or 2 and still make it to the port for our boarding time.
Everyone is super excited and a few of my grandchildren are a bit nervous.  Understandable as they have never cruised before so I have been doing my best to calm their fears.  Won’t be long and I will see whether I succeeded or not.  😆

We had the same situation last year. Other passengers who came later got to use the inside garage. Our check in was 10:30 and we were there for 10.   The outside lot worked out fine. We will be there on the 20th and our check in is 10:30 so we shall see.

What a crazy morning in Bayonne!  The Oasis did not dock until a little after 7:30am which was about 1 1/2 hours late.  Total chaos at the port when we arrived around 10.  Disembarkation did not finish from the previous cruise until after 11 so no one could park until the lots were empty!  Gridlock lasted close to 1 1/2 hours until we finally parked around 11:45.  Waited about 20 minutes in line to go through security.  We could see that no one was boarding yet.  I believe it was close to Noon or even a bit later when they announced boarding was starting.  Once we got through security we were sent to the suites entry, even though we are not in suites, and got right on.  Rest of the day was great.
