It depends on the day. I booked one previous year that did not have sun and then this past year it did on same cruise. 
I like the ones closest to Lime & Coconut as it seemed less foot traffic but that’s a personal choice. An added bonus is they were right there to ask us what we needed. 🙌🏼

Recently, I have been receiving the invitation to submit a Royal Up bid the same day that I check in for the cruise, which is 45 days prior to boarding.  For example, yesterday was check-in day for our 2-22-24 Radiance sailing.  I checked in mid-morning.  In the early afternoon I received the RU offers, which I completed immediately and submitted.  By dinner I had received an email letting me know that my RUB had been accepted.
Honestly, it doesn’t normally happen that quickly in succession but the RU invitations do seem to be coming in conjunction with check-in for me.

No issue.  Anything “gifted” to you by Royal is exempt from any corkage fee.  

In actuality, the corkage fee has nothing to do with whether or not they actually have to uncork your bottle of wine.  Though the corkage fee is very rarely assessed, it could be applicable to any wine that you bring to a dining table at any restaurant on board a ship.   It’s their way of penalizing you for bringing your “free” wine onboard.  As others have said, it’s pretty rare but it can happen and it has nothing to do with opening your bottle of wine, whether you have a cork or twist cap.

How about this one…a group comes in late to the show, knocks over your drinks while trying to get to their seat, and then sits for 5 mins and decides to leave. 😒 that happened last night 

We used the detachable and extendable combo lanyards below so we didn’t have to remove from neck for drinks  and can stretch to open room ( even though didn’t need the stretch as it reached the door) We also have the WOW bands which we reprogram when we get onboard. Sometimes one works better than the other, like when we take photos. Somehow forget to take our WOW bands off and don’t like them in some of our photos. 

If this actually comes to pass, it will be one of the GOOD changes that Royal has made.  Fingers crossed that they follow through without any "cruise enhancement" fees.

I don't mind an increase in gratuities, but what I do mind is that they are increasing and taking away services. Staterooms are cleaned once per day now and they want me to tip more. 
I know that is a FWP for me the consumer to want fresh towels 2x per day but it is cruise standard, so I would like it done if I am paying more.
I generally leave more money in the stateroom after the cruise anyway, but this kind of irritates me. 

I had a few cruises where I had not already requested prepaid grats.  I was surprised....I thought I had taken care of that on all of my booked cruises.  Pays to check, I guess.  Pretty easy to get them added.  Should be set to go now.  So annoying though....They are so tone deaf on these "cruise enhancement" combinations - reducing services in combination with increasing prices and fees.

This is the question I asked recently and that is what I believe I will try next as a new Diamond member. Get one DBP and one refreshment package and one of us use the 8 vouchers to see how that goes. 

Maybe you should consider buying one DBP and a refreshment package. You cannot do this online but will have to call in to get it done. My wife and I did this last January, which came in handy, which was our first cruise as Diamond and we had a few sea days. She had the package and i got use of 8 vouchers. Things are different for us now as we're each Prime members as well and can get drinks in the casino complimentary.

Or... you could pre-purchase the refreshment package online through the cruise planner for your spouse.... then call and purchase the drink package for yourself only (this has to be done via phone call), and then cancel your spouse's refreshment package through the cruise planner.  Works every time... (or so I hear 😉 )

No, your son will not need any kind of package....the "rule" only applies to the adults in the room.
