Be totally flexible. Be able to travel within a couple of weeks or months and have access to great airfares.
I have a website I use to check daily that tracks price changes and can search on categories and since royal changed its way to look for senior discounts and resident discounts, I have another website to look for those.
There are many times that prices are reduced in error, especially when they are looking at a redeployment. Always look for redeployments. After redeployment they are trying to fill the ship and priced can be great.
I always book suites and don't plan anything until I see great deal.

Any Mariner numbers?

Same thing for the Allure NYE sailing as San Juan was taken off.

To update; I called and they are issuing a refund due to it being an old lift and shift and new covid protocols. Now the waiting for it to hit my credit card.
There was no penalty since it was outside of final payment when I did the lift and shift originally.

I can tell you from very recent experience, that they will attempt to offer a Future Cruise Credit a la 'Cruise with Confidence',, but I found that immediate pushback and reminder that you are canceling due to protocols will result in a full refund. A caveat: if you have future cruise credits involved, they will require some additional time to sort it all out.
Thanks. I do not have any fccs applied.

I was recently able to get cash refunds for 8 cruises that I cancelled due to COVID protocols. Some were original bookings and at least 1 was a L&S from last year. I was fortunate to have a very good TA handle all of these refunds so I have no real advice on what to say or who to talk to. I just know that it can be done.
Thanks. I don’t mind the fcc but it is a star booking and passenger 1 and 2 are big $ with passenger 3/4 are not and they said they are splitting the fcc 4 ways. I’d rather have my husband and I have the larger one as we cruise more often and can apply it to some of the cruises I have booked.

Thanks. I have been reading all different things. Just trying to get my facts straight before I call my big box. I am no longer using them for future cruises as I found a wonderful ta but since this is an old one I feel I need to go armed with information.

I noticed this on the blog and wondered if this is still the case. I have an old lift and shift cruise booked before the shutdown and is scheduled for Jan 2. Am I eligible for a refund versus a fcc. if I am unhappy with the VAX and mask protocols? I don’t have any fcc applied to the booking.

Is your Stateroom attendent's official name Camilla? We have had her a number of times before star and she is great. We are heading there at the end of Jan, but staying in a Aquatheater, but I will for sure go by and see her on 17 and bring her some surprises.

You could have asked the proctor if you were able to use the solution for all the tests. They allowed this for a few people.
Great idea! I have six that Ineed to do.

Hi MLH, Sorry I didn't realize I forgot to add it. I edited my first post, I am leaving on Independence of the Seas tomorrow. I guess my new check-in is 2:30-3:00pm now. I don't see option to change that once confirmed, right?
We are out of Canaveral as well onJan 2, so I am expecting the same notification. Enjoy your cruise.

We just got a notice, our arrival was 1:30 to 2 and now they are saying arrive 1 hour late, to avoid crowding and allow time for on-board cleaning in between guests.
Can anyone suggest what to do, can we still arrive at the port and hang out in the area, are there places to sit/eat/etc? Our flight is expected to arrive around 10, grab luggage, get a cab etc, probably out by 11, it's 1hr ride so we'd be there around 12. It's too short to go somewhere else plus we'll have our luggage, can't go to NASA or something to kill time.
What do other cruiser do in between airport and embarkation.
I assume best way to get to port is by cab, right to Terminal 1?
What sailing are you on?

Most cruises are not available to book from now through Jan 15th. No word if cancelled or at capacity.

Escape Room - included for star class
A few other star class families joined us in the escape room this morning including @calvink669and his wife Kelli. So nice to meet in person! Not going to lie, it was harder than we thought but thankfully we had 4 teens to help us! It was a lot of fun. Time remaining: 14:59.
nice to see open. Our genie told us it is not operating on Harmony. Gives me hope!

I ordered mine last week, as I was nervous a bout a 12/31 and 1/1 test date for our group of 7. I bit the bullet and spent the 200.00 . Recieved them yesterday so I must have gotten them ordered just in time. Turns out CVS will be closed on those days and stopped by Walgreens and they said they would be closed as well. There are a few more testing sites in ATL, so I wil try those and use the binax as back up.

I love this! Cruise people are the most welcoming, enjoyable bunch!

I agree Matt. We sail in 6 days and my wife just asked me after reading the morning headlines if we were still going. I told her yes given all the protocols. I added with the new bonus (to us…obviously not to all) that there will be no smoking in the casino. I think what will be interesting is if this weeks sailings see similar rates that Symphony did or less.
another bonus, lots of cancellations maybe and less people!

C19 update .
The Captain just let us know C19 cases were defected on board of the Symphony. From another reliable source it more than 15 , only two are crew. That's mean tomorrow Symphony boarding process will start very late , maybe after 3 PM since CDC will need to visit . Let's hope everything will goes well and everyone will feel better soon.
Update , some people were sent to Nassau ( I guess the cruise crew ) the other will disembark in Miami .
Sorry to hear of this. I hope it is smooth sailing for you until you return. Thank you for keeping us updated.
book with air2sea but want to arrive earlier
