I recommend asking the casino host when you board if there are any certificates. My friend was hitting prime while onboard, didn’t know you could get a sticker, which gets the free drinks…(this sailing went into April 1, so it was allowed on April 1st.When I took her to get her sticker I asked about certificates (nine for me) and then I had her ask for herself “oh you should have had one in your cabin”, so they printed it for her.

Is there Coco Beach Club merch?
Pattycruise replied to alamode123's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I saw CoCocay shirts (not specifically beach club) at the straw market -
Boarded Anthem on March 27, cruise ending April 3 and I was staying on for a back to back. Any points earned the week of March 27 would not count to the new year. A lot of people were under the impression points earned on April 1 -in the middle of the cruise-would count for the new year. Casino host confirmed they would not, another cruiser had asked her many casino hosts on her recent sailings and they too said the points wouldn’t carry over. Needless to say I skipped gambling last week.

Mask or not/cruise or not Anthem 3/27
Pattycruise replied to Pattycruise's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I think less people are going for testing and numbers are still relatively the same, maybe a bit lower due to existing immunity from last go around of infection. I’m enjoying my cruising! -
You can find the contact email regarding Royal App on the app by clicking on “get more details on ships we support”. makes sense that’s where to find it!

A solo Diamond+ cruiser had 30% off on Anthem, price was $430 for the week (total) Her deal was better than her friend who purchased in the cruise planner and thought he had a good deal. ungortunately I don’t have 2 key items for your equation…price per day onboard what her friend paid in cruise planner. If you are a mathematical person I know you can figure out her cost per day m/week easily.

It surprises me that there are people angry they were on Anthem and tested positive either at the end of the cruise or when back home. The current #is 15 out of a FB group of about 500. Of course that figure could be higher with those unaware they have Covid or those who don’t think/want to share the info, and those who are repeating their testing in a few days. comments made are “masks went away too quickly” or “the passengers sailing % went up too quickly”. I would think as adults we all have an understanding that “Covid happens” and at any given time we expose ourselves, be it at a supermarket, restaurant, wedding, sporting event, school event, or on a cruise and we have an option to wear a mask as well as to not cruise. Blaming the cruise industry for a choice made to cruise is ridiculous. (Not one person reported being masked the entire cruise-and even if they were they likely are in common areas when eating) My other bone of contention is those who blame the staff with Covid for spreading this. Yes, there are cases among the crew, but the crew is masked in our presence. I’m on my 2nd half of a B2B on Anthem and still see the same crew members at their stations. Spread is behind the scenes in their stateroom areas, when unmasked. It’s highly doubtful they are the ones giving it to passengers. I’m on my 9th cruise since August. Each time I sail I’m well aware of the risks and know I have choices. If I pick up Covid I most certainly won’t blame the industry.

Self-service buffets are officially back
Pattycruise replied to smokeybandit's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I’m on Anthem now. I can’t figure out how it was decided what you can self serve. Some stations are still manned by staff (bacon station and associated items and a few others) There are no additional hand sanitizer stations inside of Windjammer. items are not in individual grab and go. There are not “multiple utensils” for self serve (I think I read that in the blog post) -
When we ported in Orlando last week (first port from NJ) I saw 3 people in front of me carry on water bottles in plastic bags. It looked like they each had 6 in a bag. Security did not confiscate it. I was surprised. If you attempt it be aware it can be taken from you as I do believe it is only permissible to carry on at your original point of embarkation.

Proctored Test from Optum Store
Pattycruise replied to Rfloyd7522's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
It depends on where you live. I believe I paid $18 to NY -
eMed Antigen test for non-family member
Pattycruise replied to peytonhead's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
You cannot use the Walgreens test that are over the counter unless it is a proctored test. The NAVICA tests (binaxnow) are not the same when you get them from Walgreens. -
Are you leaving out of NJ? It can be chilly the first and second day. The Bahamas is not typically chilly this time of year. (It was chilly -about 60 F when I was there in February) if you have a small wheeled luggage see if you can fit your sodas/water/wine. (take them out of the box/plastic) I have a small luggage that fits under an airplane seat. I can fit 2 bottles of wine and 12 bottles of water plus a few other items. Very easy to wheel onboard until you get access to your cabin. If you cannot use a small wheeled luggage maybe try a backpack or 2 sturdy bags, practice lifting at home to see if you can carry it.

UK to ban low wages for ships crews.
Pattycruise replied to Ray's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I suppose they could increase their salaries and then charge them for their room and board, food, and medical. -
Proctored Test from Optum Store
Pattycruise replied to Rfloyd7522's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Order from Emed.com same test, only sold in a 6 pack, typically comes out cheaper. -
She won’t be able to give the booking to the new TA. That TA wouldn’t be able to access her reservation and make changes/adjustments. Royal will know it is a booking that belongs to Royal too. She would have to call Royal direct to ask any questions or make adjustments.

Delays at RCCL Issuing Future Cruise Credits
Pattycruise replied to Thorntor's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I’ve not received my FCC from a Jan 7 cruise. My TA has checked a few times. on March 17 she was told “the numbers were issued but not funded yet” and “they will be funded after April 1” I guess I’ll be following up again on Monday. I need this done, there are 4 of us sailing in June….so I’d like to apply this credit to that cruise before final payment. -
Unfortunately not everyone can go back to where they received their vaccinations. I know in my case I drove 4 hours to a university that hosted a state run site. Hopefully if I ever need to replace my card the DOH can help but being a state agency it could be close to impossible since they are notorious for not answering their phone. Our state run DMV isn’t even open fully yet

Any News on Protocols?
Pattycruise replied to Padgett12345's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I figured you’d all chip in and buy me at least a 6 pack, if not 100 of them! -
They also asked for make on my sailing. One of our group mentioned she’d read something on this. Here is a link that explains why. News to me! https://time.com/4987922/blood-donations-transfusions-pregnant-women/

I guess the answer changes. October I was by myself. (Oasis) but the tables were 18” apart. November I was seated at a mixed table for 8 (Anthem). Tables were 4-6 ft apart. January Freedom-my family of 4 was seated 18 inches from the next table. February -(when masks were no longer required.) 2 of us were seated at a table for 6 with another couple. We found 2 solo diners and they were able to join us. Tables were about 3 feet apart. (Anthem)

Any News on Protocols?
Pattycruise replied to Padgett12345's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
Well, if I decide to order another 6 pack of E-med test kits for my upcoming cruises you can be sure those pre cruise testing requirements will go away! -
We had this happen on a sailing this past fall. They called for donors, announced we were going “full throttle” to be back at port early. They ended up calling for an emergency airlift. You can see the footage link in the article. We were in some rough water. Amazing job! https://www.cbs17.com/news/north-carolina-news/ailing-woman-airlifted-from-cruise-ship-off-nc-coast-in-nighttime-complex-and-challenging-flight/amp/

I’ve finally hit D+. How does this work? I can’t imagine they would award it before the cruise with the Royal Up program in place and now Royal Up bidding is valid on boarding day. thank you for any input
