  1. We have never purchased a dining option on any of our cruises- we always opt for the free food haha. But we are going on Odyssey in December and my husband and I love trying new pizza so I saw the Lunch is on sale for Giovanni's for our sailing and figured perfect time to try!

I know this blog is a judge free zone...hope it stays that way for what I'm about to ask....LOL.

Are the pizzas on the menu by slice, or like they bring you a whole pizza? If whole, are we talkin like a medium size or large size?

Do you know if they will let you take a pizza to go like after you've sat there and eaten your lunch/dinner? Like if we really are itching for a cheese but I want pep later- can I take a pizza to go?

And I love chicken parm like nobody's business so I'm worried I will indulge in the amazing apps and chix parm and want pizza later LOL.

     Thank you!

P.s. if you're on a December cruise on Odyssey and see a 5' woman running out with multiple pizzas and a giant meatball to-go....just let me live my life! 😄

  2. Majesty was our first cruise ever back in 2016 and stayed in an interior room, sailed to Coco Cay before they renovated and we felt we were treated like royalty the whole time! Majesty was our “first love” and the reason we will sail. ?

Now, 4 years later, we are truly spoiled by offerings of the larger classes and would find it difficult to sail on anything less going forward. Mainly because we love more options for bars and activities and places to eat. That being said......at this point, I would sail on Majesty in a heartbeat if she was the only one sailing for the unforeseen future. If you want a quaint and peaceful getaway, nothing wrong with the Majesty.

  3. What about the Cruise Planner FCC?

I had $900 in Cruise Planner Credit for a sailing in August. I spent ~$700 and have ~$200 left unspent in my planner.

Do I lose the $200 I didn't spend, and they start from scratch? If they do, I would still end up with roughly $900 (I think).

Or do I keep the unspent $200 and then I get an additional 125% toward the $700 I spent on packages? I would just like to have the original $900 back to my account, but I'm not sure if it works that way?

  4. So I’ve never done a dining experience on the ship, but I have cruise planner credit burning a hole in my pocket. ? For those who know what Kobe’s Steakhouse is, is that what it is like? Kobe has it set up where you get soup, salad and then rice, noodles and choice of main meat, and sushi offered if you want. The “Izumi habachi experience” is $45 on sale for my sailing. Does that cover everything on the menu? When I look at the sample menu I only see sushi and soups and salads. ?

I’m ready for the experts to let me know!

P.S. the UDP is only $119. But Izumi charges a cover charge with that, right?

No email confirmation just  a thank you for submitting your form for the credit window

Same, this is all I received when I opted for 125% OBC. Once I knew I needed to start applying credit to my August sailing, I called RC cruise planner line and they applied in 5 mins to my cruise planner. Now I can go in a use it on anything I want which is nice.

When you use OBC to make a Cruise Planner purchase, it will be refunded immediately.  You should easily be able to cancel and repurchase if it's with OBC.

You are correct! I did it this morning! I cancelled on the website and they put it back on my FCC cruise planner credit. I went from $130 in leftover cruise planner FCC to $320, yay! Now I just need to actually set sail in August!

  7. That's cool to read and starting getting an idea of what to expect!

A couple things that caught my attention- 1. full service buffet. And 2. no mention about changes to their muster drill (unless I missed it?).

I'm wondering how they are going to handle the social distancing during the one time we truly are packed in like sardines- the muster drill! I can't wait for RCCL to post about their protocols. I imagine that the cruise lines probably are keeping similar protocols to each other, for the most part anyway.

  8. I have say, I had the quickest phone call with RCCL in 6 months this morning! I wanted to go ahead and apply my 125% cruise planner credit to our August sailing, so I called the cruise planner line and literally had zero wait time, I was connected immediately. I paused in disbelief when the sweet woman answered. It was refreshing after the hours upon hours many of us have had to wait on the phone for our cancelled sailings (Until many of us smartened up and snagged an MEI TA ? )  It's pretty awesome having that leftover amount on my planner.

    Here's to August guys! #StillGoing

  9. I also received my 125% cruise planner credit today as well. I was happy with the amount. I did see how it says you have to apply it to a single sailing, which I wasn't expecting, but it's totally ok! I know we'll figure out something to apply it to outside of our drink packages.

I do have a question as I might have missed it along the lines..let's say, I use it all. What happens if the price drops on my drink package? Normally I would cancel and rebook. But how does it work in this case using a FCC? Do I get that difference back as a cruise planner credit again?

  10. My family and I absolutely will be cruising at first chance. As serious as all this has been, I don't want the fear of "what if" to overrule the possibility of adventure for me. Just as with any disease or pandemic, it very well could hit me or my family at any moment, but the opportunity for memories and living life to its fullest outweighs that fear of there not being a vaccine yet. #StillGoing

Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury, I present a piece of credible evidence that my 1 August Symphony cruise MAY be sailing :

Today, the cost of the day pass at Coco Cay nearly doubled !!  Yesterday, it was $79 and today it is $149.

Of course, there are other reasons for this price jump - it could be selling out...but I choose to see it as being evidence that we are going !!

This cruise goes to both Labadee and Coco Cay, which would make it, seemingly, a top candidate for a "go" if ANY of the ships are going.

    Fingers crossed....

haha! Isn't it sad that we get excited over price JUMPS these days know the possibility it holds! ? Fingers crossed for you!!!

The ice cream machines had attendants on the last two cruises I was on (last June on Ovation and last Feb on Symphony).  You were not allowed to get your own. I imagine they'll change to this on all ships.

We were on Mariner in December and we had attendants as well for the icecream, which was fine with us!

What is a good recommendation for a lower carb cocktail drink or mixed drink?  Kraken and diet coke?  Anything else?

    Thanks!

I've done sugar free redbull and vodka when I need a break from my sugar high. Kraken and Diet is my fave, but I also enjoy a Skinny Pirate (Diet coke and Captain). If you ask the bartender what they have in diet (like gingerale or coke or sugar free juices) they can whip you something special.
