I wouldn’t count on them giving you a reliable answer. Honestly I can’t think of a way to find out in your particular situation. I don’t know that I would even trust the info in the “legend” of the suites description on the website. I think it depends solely on the particular room and whether the original king bed has been replaced with separable beds. Back in the day, all of the OS had non-separable king beds. I think, as they have been replaced, they are going to separable beds. Last month, on Liberty, we had a king that would not have separable. Sorry I’m not any help.

Not always in an OS. The OS sometimes advertising a king bed....which does not separate. I’ve had it both ways but you cannot count on the OS beds being separable.

Who knows ? I think they just make it up as they, these days.

Oops. I made a mistake. Sorry. Pookie, those 2 BR ATS are original so there’s no particular issue with low ceilings. It’s the 1BR ATS that were added later. Sorry for the bogus information. Didn’t mean to cause stress where there shouldn’t be any ! I guess at 6’7” there’s always a possibility that he might have clearance issues but none that are caused by adding a room that was something else before. Thanks, Sabrina !

Yes, those “converted” ATS do have lower overhead clearance than normal. Neither of us had any issues but at 6’7” I think your husband might. I think you’ll be fine.

Not Chris....but....All of the ships will have some kind of No limit poker game. All of the electronic machines are gone now (thank goodness). The problem with the poker games is the rake is 10% of all called pots (max $15 per hand). They will either play a $1/3 or $2/5 game. The rake sucks up any chance of winning anything. We used to play but almost never do anymore. They also have some satellite tournaments for the Royal Poker Tour.

Is that one of the panoramic ocean view suites near the front of the ship ??

Anything in orange sauce is a no-go for me.

I use the shampoo and body wash that is provided and it's never been a problem....but I am not a foo-foo girl who worries about such things. I do, however, bring my own hair dryer. The ones on the ships are awful.

Yep. This is exactly right. No package discounts but a couple of fun group activities and at least 1 group excursion.

Sorry, Nessa. Forgot to comment on the locations. Personally, I like 1724 better than 1722 even though it is the "basketball court" view. We have booked this room (1724) on Oasis for Dec 2020. #1, it is bigger than 1722 and the balcony is WAAAY bigger than 1722. Both are GREAT suites. There is really no down side to either one of them...I just prefer the larger balcony (which also has a "side" ocean view, BTW) and the slightly larger suite. Keep in mind, even though there are 2 bathrooms, it only has 1 bedroom. Anyone staying downstairs is sleeping out in the open on a sofa bed. There's plenty of room....that's not an issue...but they have no privacy at all for those sleeping downstairs.

The Star Loft suites on Harmony are 1722 and 1724. We've stayed in 1722 (rather, its equivalent on Allure) and we had friends who stayed in 1724. Whether the upgrade cost is "worth it" really depends on a couple of things. (1) When you are cruising. A "couple of weeks" seems to indicate some time in November. If it is NOT Thanksgiving week then I would not consider that a "high value" week. (2) How much you are already "in" for the OS. (3) What kind of additional $$ are you planning on spending on the cruise (the OS). If you are already in, say, $7500 for the OS and now you're wanting to put in another $2600, that is going to bring you to ~$10K. The full price of the SLS I stayed in, in April 2018 was ~ 10K (we did not pay full price...we had a casino discount...but that's what it would have cost someone who did not have the casino price). So I wouldn't consider that a particularly good deal for an "off week" - even for Star Class. If, however, you are already planning on purchasing an Unlimited Beverage Package and an Unlimited Dining Package, then you are coming closer to a good deal. It's all up to how much you already have in the cruise and how much you are willing to pay for an all-inclusive (pretty much). If you got a good price on the OS and can manage to get "all in" for under $10K I would say it's a good deal...not great, but good.
