  1. Did your Genie mention the new mask protocols ? This so sucks for everyone !
  2. Aqua Showtime Encore must be the “other” ATS show. The O class ships generally have 2 shows. If I have to guess I would predict a bunch of stomping, splashing and a little diving. Lol
  3. That's the best news I've heard in weeks !!
  4. Such a disappointment, Mike. I would be forlorn. You were absolutely smart to get the cash refund. I’m glad they finally relented on that. I’m just sick for you. To be anticipating a lovely holiday B2B and then get stabbed with a complete cancellation ! Just.So.Wrong.
  5. Wow. 2 medical emergencies yesterday. The other one was on Oasis. Sorry to hear it.
  6. Yes, as far as I know the annual cruise comp must be used (sail by) 3-31-22. I am losing 4 of them (2 from 2020 and 2 from 2021).
  7. If you have the UDP you will be eligible to have lunch in whichever specialty dining venue is open on embarkation day. Sometimes that is Chops, sometimes that is Giovannis. Those who have the Key are served in the MDR so you will not have to compete with them for seating.
  8. Yes, these are precisely the kinds of things the Concierge can do for you before boarding….and after boarding
  9. We haven't made any airline or hotel reservations yet as I am 99.9% certain that they will not let us cruise if we're unvaccinated...and we're not getting the COVID injection EVER so we most likely won't be going. We have this cruise booked followed by a couple of days off and then the Arctic Crossing on Voyager (Sept 4) out of Copenhagen THEN we were staying on for the first NE cruise out of Boston. But we aren't making any arrangements for any of these cruises ahead of time. I wish I were more optimistic, but I'm not.
  10. I seem to recall this story had something to do with a senior citizen...or was that a DIFFERENT "accident" ? LOL
  11. You have it right. My Time means anytime that the dining room is open. It’s just a restaurant at home. You can make reservations or you can just show up….but you may have to wait if you don’t have reservations.
  12. I agree with @Ampurp85 . Don’t take an FCC ! Escalate your issue until you get someone who will authorize a cash refund.
  13. Yes, I got an email about the change of date for Cork and the addition of Belfast. I think it came about 10 days ago. I willlook and see if I can find it

  15. Reh roh....I sense an emerging suite snob ! Welcome !
  16. I would be surprised if the Genie doesn't reach out to you even with such short notice. They will want to give you boarding instructions if nothing else. The only way they WON'T reach out to you (IMO) is if they don't get notification that you are booked in that suite in time.
  17. We've done the day pass at RIU Aruba, too. I don't remember too many specifics but I remember that this is a BEAUTIFUL property. I recall spending most of the day by the pool/bar. Very nice way to spend an afternoon. I don't think we booked this through Royal. As I recall it was a Resortforaday excursion....but I could be mis-remembering.
  18. I totally sympathize. I would encourage you to go this one time. If you are really having a BAD time you can always excuse yourself but honestly, I don't think you will find that necessary. As I said, I was very surprised that I could tolerate it much less enjoy it. Try it once. You don't ever have to do it again if you really don't enjoy it. Especially since you are basically getting it for free (except for the $25 wine upcharge). Of course, I realize nothing is free...but it's your one chance to try it out without much of a $$ cost.
  19. It's definitely fleet-wide but it doesn't rotate on a yearly basis. This same menu has been going for some time.
  20. It's interesting that you say that. When we were on our B2B SC cruises on Anthem in 2019 we did Spectra twice. The first cruise the Genie sat us up front but I felt like I was constantly having to turn around in my seat to see what was happening behind me. The second week we sat a bit farther back (so that we were at least behind those pedestals that come out of the rear stage) and I thought the show was much better on the second showing. Now...we had already sat through the show once and knew what was coming so that may have had something to do with it. Either way, we enjoyed both Spectra and WWRY. I know that @Jaxreally did not enjoy Spectra but I thought it was at least sensually stimulating and that's about all you can expect for a ship show (did I just say that ??). Truthfully, I have never ever seen a show on a ship (with the possible exception of Cats and Grease. Mama Mia has a plot but it is to asinine that I refuse to include it in this list) where there was any plot to speak of. I have come to expect for the show to NOT have any plot and it makes it a lot easier when my expectations are confirmed and there is not.... And just so ya know, I am a fan of neither Cats nor Grease...but I will begrudgingly admit that there is at least a semblance of a plot there.
  21. Believe it or not, I am really not a particularly social person....and I am TERRIBLE at small talk....but this is also the aspect of the CT that I always enjoy. I am about as far from a "foodie" as you can get so the food itself at the CT is largely wasted on me and there are very few wines that I actually enjoy...but I truly do enjoy the people that we meet doing the CT. It's always surprising to me how much I end up enjoying the meal.
  22. WOW. That is awesome. You have the place practically to yourselves !
  23. Congratulations to your daughter, @excellent! I sure hope it works out so that she can come along. I'm sure she needs a break (as do the rest of you, I'm sure). Good luck
  24. Is this a casino comp ? If so, the person who "owns" the comp must sail....so if you have a casino comp and do not show up for whatever reason, the other person will not be able to sail using the comp. They would be repriced at the prevailing rate. What I am not sure about is what happens to the comp itself. If it is an annual prime (or higher) comp not sure if you would get the comp back or if it would just go bye-bye. If it is an earned comp certificate I suspect it is just forfeit.
