  1. You are so welcome !
  2. Yes. I have seen them add a seat to a table to accommodate an extra person.
  3. ….and don’t wander far from the restrooms….
  4. I wonder (pun intended). It sure looks like it's a different layout than what we had on Harmony (I think) a number of years ago. Of course, with all things ATS, the deck has a lot of to do with the size and layout of the suite. But the pic above looks much larger than any of the 1 BR ATS I have seen.
  5. In other words, they're thinking about thinking about it...
  6. I agree with you. The GS looks about the same size as a JS on the other ships. On the other hand, the 1 BR ATS looks much larger than what I remember.
  7. 100% agree. Whether or not it makes since, financially, is irrelevant to us. We do it for the convenience and for the ability to get whatever we want, whenever we want it without having to think about it.
  8. Luggage valet is a program that they used to have where you could send your luggage directly from the ship to the airport. You would not have to deal with your luggage until you arrived at your final destination airport. It was a wonderful program that sadly, no longer exists at any of the FL cruise ports (as far as I know). I think it might still be in effect in Seattle.
  9. I guess I am in the minority on this one. We tried doing the multi-device VOOM and ended up nearly killing each other before the cruise was over. I now ONLY purchase individual VOOM accounts. Everyone has their own login and is in control of which devices they have logged on or off. It just works out better for everyone's sanity.
  10. Yes. Every Genie I've ever had put together an agenda before we got on board and then we changed lots of things once we boarded....and then lots of things again on the fly. This is one of the BENEFITS of the Genie....keep that in mind. Being able to change your plans on a whim is a GOOD thing !
  11. We're actually in Tradition, but PSL is close enough for reference ! LOL
  12. I have an entire thread about moving to FL as it relates to cruising. There are so many things to consider but after many visits and much analysis, we chose the Treasure Coast as it is equidistant between MIA/FLL and Port Canaveral. It is only slightly further over to Tampa. We chose this area strictly b/c of its location relative to the cruise ports. We built a house in Port St Lucie, which is 1 hr north of West Palm Beach. This area is exploding with development which is both good and bad. Prices are becoming completely unreasonable and we are fortunate to have made our move when we did (signed construction contract in Sept 2020 and moved down here in Nov 2020 while the house was being built). FL is like anywhere else….different parts of FL have different vibes and different influences. As a general rule (always exceptions), south FL is more expensive than northern FL and the west coast is less expensive than the east coast. The interior of FL is rural. These are all generalizations and there certainly are exceptions but that will give you a good rule-of-thumb. I guess if I have any advice it would be -DON’T WAIT. I mentioned prices. It’s really getting insane. The base price of the house we built has gone up $109K in 16 months….and you can’t build my house right now at ANY price b/c all of the lots are long gone. Of course, like anything else, it depends on what you’re looking for. We wanted an over-55 gated community but there are plenty of other options. Since you are going to be snowbirds, I would definitely recommend some type of gated community just for the security since you will be living elsewhere for months at a time. There are many others on this blog that have made that move somewhat recently, so, no doubt, you will get lots of other advice !
  13. Congratulations on getting to Prime ! That is such a huge deal.
  14. “Real” limoncello from Italy is usually moonshine. Don’t ask me how I know…
  15. I have read accounts similar to yours regarding upgrades that turned out not to be upgrades at all. My advice (too late for you, unfortunately) is to never bid on an upgrade that is in the same category that you are already in. IOW, if you are in a balcony cabin of any kind, only bid on JS or higher. What you consider an upgrade and what RU considers an upgrade are likely to be in conflict. I hope you get this resolved to your satisfaction but I fear that there is nothing to be done at this point. Hope you have a wonderful cruise wherever you end up.
  16. Keep this in the back of your mind as well…. The Genie (and Concierge, for that matter) will always give you a “by the book” answer in writing. Same with a phone call or text. Once you get on the ship and meet with your Genie face-to-face, they will display a bit more flexibility. So while they might give you some bad news in advance it might change once you get onboard. Not saying it will, but it could.
  17. Yikes ! We would have one very unhappy husband if this happened to us ! Sorry to hear it. I’m sure they will claim it to be a COVID casualty but that’s a bit spurious to me.
  18. Dang, I wish they had shown the Suites Lounge bar. I assume it is against the wall like it is on Harmony and SY
  19. Unfortunately, only the Oasis and Quantum class ships have complimentary VOOM. It will not be a suites amenity on Rhapsody.
  20. Woohoo ! I love a good upgrade. You really scored. I love the room layout and decor. We’ll done, Twangbot.
  21. No. It is 1 king sized bed that does not split. The beds in the second bedroom can be split but not the king in the MBR.
