We decided to change from Jewel to this 3 day cruise for our honeymoon.....we are getting married on Freedom cruise Feb 26-March 1st out of Miami and then heading up to Fort Lauderdale to board Liberty!

My Utopia Sept 2024 DBP was originally $108 when I booked the cruise. And I’ve seen it for 25% off but that’s the most. It’s $120 now with bogo50%… 🙄

Also, wondering if Freedom still has the wedding chapel...looks like it on the deck plans but i thought they had gotten rid of those?

Aahh, yes, this does evoke nostalgic memories... I fondly recall breaking into my piggy bank to give dear ol' mom that $2 she demanded for a cookie, then tossing that extra $0.40 in her little tip jar in the kitchen. Good times, good times.

But if its priced and marketed like Cococay....then its insane that ppl pay that money.

Glad the company heard the complaints and have gone with no charge.
As for charging for those who eat late night, I would think it should be the opposite. If there were to be a charge it should be during the day when you have choices.  At night there is no choice.  Pay or don't pay is not a choice.  It punishes all the people who go to the late shows and the dance clubs.  They already charge for room service, and the wait is ridculous and they screw up the orders.    But, it's settled for now.  Yeah!

Zero interest in paying hundreds of dollars to sit on a strip of land in Nassau...when I have already paid hundreds or thousands for the cruise already.
 
I am sure some ppl will use it....the same ppl that don't mind spending 4k to sit in a nice chair on Cococay.....insane.
 
Coco cay used to be a looked forward to day...not now. I don't ever care to set foot on it again.  And anyone that i have talked ot about it feels the same way. Same for me with this junk. if I wanted a beach resort I would pay for one...not pay for a cruise AND a beach resort.
 
Royal tries to sell you on doing this for the customers experience or whatever PC BS they come up with...if you believe that, i have a bridge to sell you...lmao.
 
Its all corporate greed and profit...I cant wait for Royal to eventually see that....its crazy they would spend this much on new ships and such when we are not 2 years out from Covid and almost being bankrupt.....to think that cant or wont happen again??!. Or a recession just around the corner and all of a sudden they have a lot of money spent and no one can visit or afford it..

Nassau is a dump. It will always be a dump because they know people think it's a dump and they've done very little to change that. Taking a ferry to wherever i need to go ... still takes me through a dump. 
The Royal Beach Club does nothing to change my mind about staying on the ship while docked in a dump. 
(Save this post for a Friday night and make it a drinking game for every time i write  .... dump.)

I am not enthusiastic at all from what I have heard so far about the format of the Royal Beach Club, it's just not my kinda jam.
 
Mr. Bayley sounds sympathetic to the woes and shortcomings of Nassau but I don't think he is sincere. The crappier Nassau remains, the more appetizing the Royal Beach Club will sound to 2,750 passengers on a daily basis. 
There is a lot the head of Royal Caribbean International could suggest and organize (without spending any of Royal's $$$) to make Nassau a much better place, but I'm certain we will not see anything like that out of him. 
Making Nassau a desirable cruising destination is a very simple problem to solve. There are many, many municipal examples to take guidance from. Instead of a CEO, I'm sure a passenger in a inside cabin on deck 2 knows the formula if the Bahamian government were at all interested.

This is the type of direct communication that needs to go to Royal.  They should be concerned they are losing customers to other lines

yeah...that ONE spot on a 17 deck cruise ship with 4000 ppl, and i have to trek to find some lukewarm coffee sitting in those containers for hours...its great!..lol
 
But I guess my overall take away from the OP is that, he needs to worry more about these little things...Royal is getting too big too quickly imho and the small things(and some bigger things) are starting to change and slip away. And not in a good way.

Pretty bad when on a vacation, that its hard to find coffee??!!
 
Another example of Royal not being in tune with the basics of vacations for the average family.
 
cant find coffee in the morning...wont be able to eat at night unless you want to pay for pizza....it might seem small to Royal, but that's what people like me care about.
 
Michael Bayley needs to start getting back to the basics...fancy and expensive ships aren't that important when basic's aren't taken care of.
