Ahh as a former Royal Navy signalman, this is right up my street. 
This is not a maritime law per se, but nautical etiquette.  A foreign flagged vessel, (RCL ships are registered in the Bahamas) visiting a port, routinely fly the flag of the country they are visiting from a prominent position. Usually the masthead, or starboard outer yardarm as a mark of respect. The flag for the country of registration is normally displayed from the Ensign Staff, at the stern.
It is endearing to see such maritime tradiitions continue in the modern age

I would (and am !) sail on Allure as-is with no problem, but I do understand that if you were expecting water slides and Playmakers and now they're not going to be there, that you might be disappointed.  As a matter of fact, I have 5 cruises booked on Allure between March and November 2021.  Maybe she will get amplified during that time (doubtful) but it doesn't matter to me.  I don't do water slides anyway and Playmakers is not a deal breaker to me.

Oh I hear you.  Mine are seventh, sixth and fourth.  Told the sixth graders math teacher last year that NO ONE needs to be able to divide fractions and IF he did, there would be a computer to do it for him!!!

Since our last cruise was our first the entire cruise was memorable. We were onboard the Allure with an ocean balcony. Pretty much the entire cruise exceeded our expectations. Just hoping things will be better for our May 2021 cruise on SOS.
