Buy a shortie wet-suit short sleeve and legs maybe a 3 or 4mm neoprene. He will float wearing it and adds protection from the sun and  sea life.

A little trim under the nose and a properly fitted mask from a dive shop will solve your issues. Vaseline or Aquaphor around the bottom edge of the mask seal will also help if needed. Never try and snorkel with swim goggles, the unnatural feeling takes away from the enjoyment of the swim.

We just got off Wonder on Sunday and had a 12:08pm flight.  Our self disembark time was 6:45AM, but we went to Windjammer and had breakfast and left the ship at 7:30AM.  Walking off the ship was no wait at all.  Opened the app, picked a Lyft that saved $12 because we'd wait 15 minutes.  We got to MCO by 8:20AM.  This was too early for me.  You cannot check a bag before 3 hours early.  So, we waited until 9:08AM to check our bag.  TSA precheck took about 10 min.  Then, we were stuck waiting almost 2 hours before we could board.  Starbucks line past security did take 45min.  But I would have much rather had an 11am flight and less waiting at the airport.

One thing to consider is the day of the week that you will disembark. The Wonder comes and goes on a Sunday which helps with the traffic on the beachline with most people heading to the coast vs week day and work commuters and Sunday mornings are usually slower at MCO. Same situation on a Saturday with traffic but MCO can be busier in the morning. Mondays and Fridays work traffic to Orlando is busier and the occasional traffic accident can cause back-ups. 11:00 am flight should be the mark to be on the safe side as a Ride-share/ private transport driver the normal time to MCO is 40-45 minutes so plan your disembarkation time accordingly for Uber/Lyft shuttles are a different story because of they don't leave until full.

Side note- 2 weeks ago I saw a GoPort bus full of passengers going 30mph on the Beachline backing up traffic for several miles (turbo issue) then the next day saw another shuttle bus parked at the entrance to MCO on the big curved overpass and the driver was walking along picking up suitcases that fell out of the bus as he rounded the curve. The driver did not look happy.

I would suggest calling one of the hotels just outside MCO and ask about parking at the hotel during your cruise and use my ride service from the hotel to Port Canaveral ($80) Black full size suv. Then when you fly back just Uber from MCO to the nearby hotel. Other suggestion is park at "The Parking Spot" it has covered parking and 1/2 mile from the airport.

Where are looking to go, I assume your doing a port of call there on the Anthem. Uber would be the easiest choice, I drive at Port Canaveral all the time.

I'm a retired public safety officer and have a full size SUV Chevy Tahoe black and offer ride service between Orlando "MCO" and Port Canaveral along with Sanford "SFB" and Port Canaveral for anyone interested just message me. I live 15 miles from the port and the wife and I are loyal Royal Caribbean travelers.  I'm not sure if the administrator allows me to post if not please remove. I can also answer any questions anyone may have about the Port area.

Disney springs is 17 miles from MCO and your best choice is to get a Lyft/Uber to Disney have your fun then ride-share to MCO. Not sure what you will do with your luggage

Taxi is a rare site at the Cruise port or airports these days. I have picked up people that used a taxi to get from MCO to Port Canaveral and paid $170. Standard Uber from Port to MCO is approx $75-80 depending with XL size vehicle running $100-110. I provide large suv service FYI

I live 15 miles from the Port and drive back and forth between MCO/ SFB and Port Canaveral for both Uber and Lyft, I also do private rides several times a week. If you self carry off the ship by 07:30-07:45 you will make it to MCO in 45 min from Port Canaveral. On a rare occasion an accident on the "beachline" main road to MCO will cause a delay. At 0800am the number of available uber/lyft cars waiting in the Port ride-share lots hover around 50-60. As the morning progresses the number of cars available decreases from the first wave of disembarking passengers. At around 9:30 the ride-share wait can be several minutes due to the drivers returning from MCO so plan accordingly.

I drive Uber and Lyft several times a week from Port Canaveral to MCO/Orlando  the trip takes 45 minutes from pick up to the curb at MCO. Time variables would be a traffic accident on the beachline or long TSA lines. Usually TSA moves quick that timeof the morning.

Uber / Lyft first off the boat would be about $75 to MCO, if your off by 07:30 you will arrive at MCO by 08:30 under normal conditions. MCO to Port Canaveral is actually cheaper $55 normal conditions due to lower Uber rates in the Orlando region

Never depend on shuttle service if your in a time crunch to the airport. The shuttle will usually sit and wait for several people before they leave. Uber is the best choice, at 0700 am Port Canaveral has over 40 uber drivers sitting in the waiting lot/que ready for requests within a mile of all the ships.

Yes that is correct, I drive private cruise and airport rides and also do Uber and Lyft at Port Canaveral. Parking area 1 is at terminal 1, they are wanting you to park there so when you get back the ship will dock at terminal 1 like normal.

Post Canaveral also put out an E-mail that says they will be docking the Independence at Terminal 6 and busing passengers over to their parking deck at terminal 1 later Monday morning also............so expect a mess

Airplane mode then we use Facebook messaging to text back home. We will be trying the "Whatsapp" next time also.

Low end Uber option is $55 - $60 for Uber X or Lyft reg allows up to 4 people

I drive Uber/Lyft and private ride service from MLB and MCO and can give thoughts on both airports. MLB is fast from arrival / luggage pick up to the port 30-35 min MCO will take 1 - 1.5 hours best case. Traffic issues can add time.

I drive Uber and Lyft and private ride service at Port Canaveral and as long as your outside in the pick up area around 8am you will make it to MCO with no issues. The only issues we ever have is accidents along the Beachline or an early rocket launch.

Just got notified that my Royal up bid for a Jr suite got accepted, we are still 2 weeks out for our new years eve sail. This  is the first time winning a bid and it turns out they put us in an aft jr suit with the large balcony my wife will be extra happy since she lives on the balcony.

We ask for the ice daily, our comp platinum robes and a small fan all while handing the attendant a $20 bill. Will try out the mattress topper New Years Eve

We never get off the ship in Nassau under normal conditions, no way under covid conditions the end of the month. Locals never leave you alone.
