the real question is if 1 person sails without the vaccine and infected, how does it affect the 400 that are outside the efficacy rate. Personally I don't think I will want to cruise if they haven't mandated vaccinations (Children under 18 exempt) after approx mid 2021 when it will be available to all adults

thank you so much for another perspective. my take is the rapid spread in the USA is do to those that refuse to mask, and there are many, just stop by and look at any local bar. I also believe that with like minded cruiser that are courteous and obey the rules i am just as safe as going to the store which we all have to do from time to time

Really would like to know if i have the same stateroom on both sailing, before I commit. i have had to change staterooms before and will never do it again, worst part about that experience is there was a fog delay, had we stayed in the same room we could have relaxed there instead of waiting in the theater for 7+ hours

and people still wonder how they are going to get to the reduced capacity without telling someone who is booked that they can't sail. I'm sure this change will help reduce capacity so that after the cancellations they can cap the rooms they sell. My self I'm real glad that i have a travel agent, my first worry is my Jan/Feb 2022 cruise is a b2b and will i have the same room on both of my cruises. My second concern is they gave me, at least how I read it, a very limited time to get a true refund of my deposit have to decide by 30 Oct 2020. There is enough restrictions on FCC use, one per sailing pp, each person has their own and can only be used on them, etc. I also try to stay positive, but am also a realist. Already been stung by the airlines and am just a little more leery now.

On top of the above looks like her upgrade /renovation was put off, so not nearly the same ship or quality as Freedom

How are you seeing the new itinerary, does not even show on RCG website at this minute. I personally am getting real tired of them selling cruises to me then switching either the ship or itinerary at a later. I book early to get the location I want and lo and behold over half my cruises for the past 3 years have had major changes. I'm just getting real frustrated when the RCG management.

Excellent point, my March 15th cruise wasn't even canceled until the day before, the day we landed in the port city.

Agree with the point on " CDC guidance (distanced) " but my thoughts are even with reduced sailing capacity I have trouble imagining the pool, sun deck or solarium on a sea day where i could effectively maintain social distancing.

good luck finding it at that price, but at that price it might be worth it, depending on your status level

hey I've already made money on my RCG stock and it is only going to go up once cruising resumes. Maybe i should sue because I didn't get to enjoy the loss. Seriously its the stock market, for us Americans we can vote for a strong economy or not its up to all of us

no mater how you did your L&S via phone or on line, why would you provide them with an option that your not willing to accept? I had an Xmas 2020 cruise booked and did my L&S on line. I put the same acceptable Xmas 2021 cruise in all 3 choices for option 1, 2, 3 as that was the only cruise i was willing to accept. I was surprised the online form let me into the same cruise for all 3 options and initialy thought i 'd have to call in, but it worked.

having read this thread that is less than a day old, and digesting some of the opinions expressed as well as observing some of the actions in my community, I can easily see why we in the USA have the highest infection rate in the world. Which is to bad because we definitely won't be returning to cruising until that rate is much lower and somewhat under control. I so want to cruise, but I want to do it safely with very low risk.

based on what we have already seen with some schools going back and already having problems with infection, additionally the problems that Major League baseball is having (that not even a full contact sport). I am surprised the NCAA just doesn't step in and cancel. Based on science, that would be the smart thing to do

eating the $100 pp deposit on a cruise is nothing, how about having bought $6k worth of airline ticket that can not be used, not even in the foreseeable future. now that's harder to eat, chomp chomp, not tasting good at all

good point about the wording "Holiday" in the cruise title. the main problem with 2021 is those 2 holidays Xmas and new years both fall on one of the 2 major Embark/Debark days, so there are very few "Holiday" cruises compared to most other years when they fall into the middle of the week and don't throw the scheduling off

and just another example of what is the wrong way of handling refunds or future credits Absolutely wrong. I paid i should get all the credit back to me to use as "I" see fit.

that is insurance, you are insuring a risk your not willing to take, that risk started from the day the insurance was effective for most it is purchase date. could be worse you could have also spent thousands of dollars on plane tickets not covered by insurance and definitely know your not getting on one by the end of the years, so the airlines offer to change your flight at no cost is actually useless

I have a problem with the way RCI issues future cruise credit. I paid for a family cruise, I paid for the whole cruise myself on my credit card. Not all family members will ever be comfortable cruising in the future, for some it was to be their first cruise. I will definitely cruise in the future sometime. Seems really unfair that i have to eat the loss on those family members that will never cruise, it amount to thousands of dollars i will lose. If nothing else let us transfer FCC to other individuals second problem, as long as I'm at it, I also seems unfair that i can only apply my cruise credit to my part of the fare and not my wifes. I mean Royal your still getting the money, why not make it easy and fair. this is just my opinion, and has developed after all the recent cancellations

Just my take, but they seem to not want to cancel any cruises until final payment dates have past. It makes sense from the perspective that they hold you money for a period of time even if you request a full refund. Personally, I am done making any final payments until after they start cruising again. Now I just regret that I tend to always purchase plane ticket as soon as fares are posted as it used to be about the cheapest way to go. Now looks like i will be taking a loss on all them also
