  1. Our last cruise on Oasis, we had Alan F and he brought a porter with him to follow us with all our luggage (i had 2 in-laws on that trip). We are in 8720 - the Owner's Loft. It's just 4 of us this time #whew - lol two kids (12 and 14) so they can fight over the couch and a roll away bed we already told Yen to make sure to have for us. Yeah, I can see what you mean by formal. Her email responses are pretty much short and to the point ... like 'Noted' and that's all haha
  2. Good to know @tiny260 Guess i'll just stream what i can if we are able to go up
  3. We are going SC on Anthem June 6 and have asked our genie to book us for the north star as we depart. She responded and said it should be operational AFTER we pass under the bridge. This should give us some good shots leaving - hoping to get some good pics of Liberty Island. I'm going to attempt to periscope different parts of our cruise, and this was one of the things I'm hoping to periscope. If we can't, then will be a short scope from our balcony ?
  4. Just checked the RCL site and May '21 showed up - ha - but, yeah I'm only seeing 1 cruise date on Ovation (14-night) for May 8th. #GimmeMoreGimmeMore #BigBdayCruise
  5. I think those are all great additions. However, I would like to see the 9-night route out of Bayonne kept. That's a good cruise for when you can't do a B2B and a week just isn't long enough - ?
  6. Curious question. For anyone who actually won the Royal Up bid, (I saw @coneyraven's response above he got his confirm about 4 days before) * When did you get your confirmation you won the bid and are upgraded to the new room? * What did you do about new luggage tags? (assuming you don't have a printer and got news the day before the cruise)
  7. Good to know @spiralqueen. Will need to maybe get something in writing about any benefits that should carry over if a repricing is done ?
  8. Just make sure you check the prices every now and then. They will drop or have some specials and you may be able to get a better price, even if it saves you $5 ?
  9. Just note that if you do book with NextCruise and grab some nice deals (like OBC) ... IF you change your reservation with your TA later on for some reason, then you run the risk of possibly losing the benefits of the deal - other than a low deposit.
  10. The C/A benefits are minimal for Gold - but you can still flip through and see what's available once you get on board. I think there was a free $5 credit for the casino that we used, um, yeah, since those are 'big-boy' video games - lol It would be nice for them to have some type of 'kid' version of the coupons. But easier for them to manage with a 'one-n-done' type. Just make sure they have their own C/A numbers so they will start getting credits for cruising. Maybe if they enjoy it, they'll continue when they are older and already have a small head start in their cruise status. Good luck with the arcade. Took my son on the Allure a couple years ago and the arcade was pretty sad, especially if you or your kids are gamers. ? We got the $25 package loaded to his card, I also removed the ability to charge from everyone's card, but found he couldn't spend it all. But that's just because he wasn't happy with the choice of games (at least for his age, more Chuck-E-Cheese type games it seemed) My advice - take a couple quarters up there and see what's available, but then redirect them to all the other free onboard activities. The adventure ocean was really fun for my son (10 at the time). He asked multiple times if he could go and hang out - you have to check them in/out there until they go to the teen area.
  11. We have done this on all our cruises, we try to sit on the first row if we can make it there on time. Last cruise my wife got picked to be one of our team captains, so was running around on the rink - yeah, LUCKILY she didn't have to do anything questionable - lol. It was a lot of fun, we won the game and got a bottle of champagne, a RCL bag and couple other things. It was funny when the CD called out the 'royalty cruisers' from star class with the black seapass cards ..... i think we were the only ones in there with one ?
  12. Here is the Izumi menu from Anthem (our genie sent this to us for our upcoming cruise in June)
  13. When you go to your check in / setsail pass, you'll see your reservations for all the cruisers. next to each person's name is a pencil icon - click that, then scroll down about half way and you should see the image below. If not, then it may not be available for your cruise. But keep checking that area.
  14. Careful - you make friends with you waiter and you could be 'swimming' in butter and 'rolling' in rolls - hahaha - oh yeah, treat your wait staff good and they'll take damn good care of you ?
  15. Welcome aboard - have you booked your first cruise yet? ? If not, shame on you - lol Ok, i'll start out doing my best to answer, but there will be more 'seasoned' cruisers out there that will help chime in. 1) Yes, MTD is my time dining (MDR = main dining room) 2) Set is the start times for those rounds of dinners in the MDR - so, this gives roughly 2 hours or so for the first group to eat and tables be reset for the late round of guests 3) Yes - pick either the early / late. this will really depend on what else you plan on doing during your cruise. Some prefer to eat early so they are available for any shows or activities later that evening. but, really personal preference. 4) Yes, you are expected to be on time. If for some reason you will not be able to make it at your time, just let the MDR know you will be late or not coming one night. When you get there, you'll be escorted to your table. If your table is available when you arrive early, you may be able to go ahead and be seated. 5) tables will depend on the ship and how many diners there are. most appear to be round, but there are some square (for 2 people) and some rectangles for larger groups. 6) most of the time, you'll get drinks - apps - main course - desert. depending on your group and how fast they are wanting to progress through the meal, depends when your waiter will bring each section. if you are a frequent diner and you get to know your wait staff, they will start to learn what you like to drink and possibly have it waiting on your or be ready to put your order in. 7) flow really depends on the table and people. if, someone has a show to get to, they may be able to get their entree first in order to eat quick and get to the show/activity while the others hang out and enjoy the meal. 8 ) MTD will also need to let the MDR know when they would like to eat. in some cases, they can show up and IF there is an available table, they may be able to get seated - but, really depends on the cruise / diners / availability / etc. 9) elbow room ? ha I'm sure they can adjust the chairs slightly if you need a little more. depends on where your table is at and if they can 'scoot' people around. 10) early or late, really depends on the diners. a late seating may end up missing a show, unless there is an earlier time. the 'early' diners should be able to eat / leave within a potential 2 - 2 1/2 hour limit. the only 'hurry' you might encounter is if you are eating early and there is another party that might be waiting to eat at that table for the later seating. There are lots of good posts / answers in this forum to help you get more information. And by all means, there's no really weird questions that won't be answered ? just doesn't mean you might not get a sarcastic answer - lol ... but, everyone here is here to help get everyone informed.
  16. 26 days here before Anthem 9-night. Looks like pricing might be the same as what you see, right now.
  17. Gratz on booking your cruise. I bet you got a great deal on that March 2019 cruise ? just kidding, think you are talking 2020, eh. So, my two cents ... if you love cruising in general and you had fun on DCL, then you should be spoiled on RCL. Depending on the ship and route you'll experience some great vacationing. For us, we book as soon as possible. Still waiting on summer 21 to open. This way you can get the room you want. As for waiting till your on your cruise, sometimes you get a discounted deposit or extra OBC or something else. They can also attach your travel agent to your res you make on board. But, waiting till March of 20 to book March of 21 might have all the good rooms taken. ? If you have a travel agent, they should be able to get you a slightly lower deposit rate ... ours is only 500. welcome aboard ...
  18. How far out are you from your cruise? Price may drop if they feel like they haven't sold enough
  19. You can also ask them at the bar or MDR for a coke with no ice ? at the pizza shack, jump across the way to another bar or venue and grab a coke then go get your pizza. Have to agree those cups to carry around can be a pain
  20. just hurry up and get on board, then find something to start getting your vacation on! #CasinoRoyale #FoodComa
  21. it might be there are none available for your cruise date. i picked a random date in Sept 2019:
  22. Have to agree with @marti314 - I mean, why have a site https://www.ourcruisephotos.com/ for your photos if you can't purchase them after you get done?
  23. he know's once you join @Lovetocruise2002's #teamCK - there's no going back ?
  24. @SpeedNoodles Does this include kids? #Hmmm @deep1, the JS is the lowest suite that will give you double points - if you are close enough to a port, you could pickup some last minute cruises for like the 3-4 day routes and stay in an interior room for cheap.
