I have never been to Alaska but many have compared the Fjords to Alaska by saying that the Fjords is Alaska on steroids. Hopefully someone who has done both can chime in. 

I can say that there is a lot less snow here than I expected.

I have to ask, does it sometimes feel like you are in Alaska, even the towns remind me of Alaska?  
This is on my list as a must do but I was wondering that as I look at your pictures.
 
 
 

Day 4 ? How can it be day 4 already ?!  You guys need to slow the sun down or something.  This is going WAAAYTOOO fast !

When our itinerary was changed, it took easily 3-4 weeks for the excursions to show correctly.

Our evening was not as exciting as @GregD’s as I cannot convince Hubby and the girls to try Wonderland again. We went our separate ways tonight; Hubby and I went to CK (Braised beef gnocchi and my favourite tofu tonight 😋) and the kids ventured off to Johnny Rockets. 


It was announced before dinner that they were going to preform The Gift again so we headed there with the kids after dinner. I am almost ashamed to say that after seeing that show for the 3rd time, I still have no idea what the bulk of the show means. However, since it has been 4 years since we first saw it, my 13 year old has now grown wise enough to explain it to me. 😂
By the time the show was done and we hiked all the way to our room, it was past 10pm. This is what the view looked like:



For people like us from Southern Ontario, this is quite the sight! It is now 11:44 pm as I type this and the moon is shining bright, but the sky is still visible and not dark. 

It translates into... much nicer than Florida right now.  

I'm taking an Excel class right now, that is the extent of my IT powers (Won't mention how many times I've called my 23 yr Daughter for help 😉)
On my Canada/New England cruise (September 18 22) they have excursions listed and then they are gone the next day.  I booked one early (taking your guys advice) and have never seen it again.  If it's sold out why are others still on there that are listed as Sold Out.  weird
My IT at work is not that great I found a couple of IT that are awesome and just teams them, forget putting in a ticket.  For you IT people out thank you for all you do I would be lost without you!
 
@BigKarlawesome find!!  We did UDP last cruise and it was so good.  At the end of the seven days we were in food comas but thoroughly enjoyed the experience. 

Our day mirrored that of @Lovetocruise2002 since we did the same excursion together. We managed to have lunch at one of the local restaurants in the fish market area if the port before heading back to the ship. 
 
Heather and Lydia got fish and chips, I got mussels and Johnny got chicken nuggets. The menu was geared towards tourists since there were universally liked dishes on it, but it was fresh seafood forward, and the seafood was delicious.

 
We also had the same afternoon tea setup in our room too. 
 
After tea my kids wanted to ride the bumper cars again and D14 from our “friendly” neighbor (neighbour?) came along too. Someone must have forgotten to tell her that Canadians are supposed to be friendly, because she was cutthroat out there with the bumper cars. I was attacked relentlessly! Each time she had a smile on her face too🤣 maybe that’s the “nice” part. They smile while they are secretly trying to hurt you.
Way back when, I had talked about about having a genie would be beneficial, and today proved it. We walked into the seaplex and the line for the bumper cars wrapped around the entire outside. Leroy walked in and we were the first ones into the cars. Their protocol is that Star Class guests go onto the floor every other turn. We did two rounds and the kids were ready to do something else.
Lydia and D14 headed off on their own. Johnny and I went to the pool.
Tonight is wonderland for dinner….we shall see how it’s going.
 
 

We have been on 4 RC cruise (I know we are newbies) and have gotten the refreshment package every time.  We never have used the cups we leave them in their wrappings in the room.  I just don't like carry a cup around, too much of a pain.  

I have a Canada/New England cruise with a port change from Halifax to Sydney.  The email came out about the change-a little over a week ago.   All of the Halifax excursions are still listed "Halifax Peggy's Cove" and the name of the port says Sydney.  I had to go online to see if Halifax was anywhere near Sydney (it's not) before I called Royal to inquire- "when are the new excursions going to be uploaded?".  Royal IT was notified and a ticket number issued.    I'd also love to be an IT (but I know noting about it) but if they would just send me on cruises and pay me to check out their websites and monitor boards like this for complaints/improvement suggestions I'd be super happy!

The sad part is that the excursions page also reflects the 4 night Mexico cruise as well and when I told them it was also messed up they said "Thanks for letting us know" "We should have that corrected within a week."  The very sad part is that it has been messed up for over three weeks already.  Oh, and the dining package went up a whopping $6 PP/PN but still says for every night of cruise but was not yet corrected and shows it is a 4 night cruise instead of seven.
If I made that many mistakes at my IT job I would be fired. Does anyone know if they have web page Inspection.  I would apply if I could Telecommute from a cruise ship. Hahahaha  🙂    

When we got back to our room, we found Afternoon tea set up and waiting for us, compliments of Leroy.

Now stuffed and ready for a nap. 

I love the freestyle machines; I love that I can make my Coke Zero orange vanilla or have Fanta zero fruit punch. I drink Coke Zero/Coke at home, I am on vacation, it's time to live it up!

I love how different people are, I can't stand the Freestyle machines yet others love them.  To me they ruin the taste of soda but maybe that's because I'm a plain Coke drinker.  

Thank you, that is what I do since I've never used the cups but I appreciate the tip.  I'm too absent minded that I would leave my cup somewhere and forget where.

If you think the machines ruin the flavor, you can always order a can of coke from the bar or waiter and let those who enjoy the freestyle machines enjoy them.

Maybe I’m wrong but I feel like there is some confusion here so….
The cruise line charges EVERYONE daily gratuities. This is currently $14.50 pp per day up to a Jr Suite and $17.50 for Grand Suite and above.
This amount is automatically charged hence the term Auto-gratuities.  You can pay this as part of your cruise fare (prepaid) or it will be charged daily to your on board account.  The amount is the same.  The difference is pay now or pay then.  Up to you which you’d prefer.  Personally I prepay.
Once on board, many people will ALSO give cash tips to crew members for good service typically wait staff, cabin stewards and bartenders.  This is over and above the auto-gratuities.
You are also able to decline the auto-gratuities by going to Guest Services and reducing or removing the amount from your on board account.  You may then tip personally in the manner you feel appropriate.  

Forgive me if this explanation is not necessary but I felt like some were getting lost in terminology.  😉

I like the Powerade options along with the flavors that aren’t available at the bars….the various cream sodas, root beer, etc, plus I like to mix different concoctions  
My tastes tend to be kinda eclectic. 🙂

It’s a rule for dads to get as many embarrassing pictures of their kids and blast them to everyone right? If so mission accomplished, if not, oh well, enjoy anyway!
