  1. Welcome to the boards! Not a dumb question at all. It depends on your personal risk tolerance. If you can score a Royal excursion to Chacchoben, and you have about an hour (more or less) between the start of it and the end of the dolphin one, go for it. If the time between in much shorter, you risk missing the second excursion if something happens to delay your return from the first one. If you take a 3rd party excursion to the ruins, then you need to look hard at when all-abord is and make sure you are back in plenty of time. The ship will not wait for you if something happens and you are delayed. Personally I never risk a 3rd party excursion at the end of the day, but that's just me. Hope that helps!
  2. We did a similar trip in 2014... and it was the beginning of the end -- we got a GS for cheaper than a balcony and haven't looked back!
  3. I'll be sailing out of Baltimore on March 25, so I'll let you know. Or if you sail sooner than that, perhaps you can let me know
  4. Some excursions have an upper limit, others don't. It will be listed in the advisements at the bottom of the shore excursion description.
  5. Welcome to the Boards! I don't think you will have any issue above the dining room, particularly since it isn't used late into the evening. Enjoy your cruise!
  6. You might also check the Cruise Planner on the website. Sometimes the offerings are different. Enjoy your cruise!
  7. Sometimes it sells out, unfortunately. Keep checking and it may come back. When is your cruise?
  8. I might be a bit risk-adverse, but no way would I travel that far from the ship without being on a Royal excursion. I'd be stressed all day about getting back in time!
  9. Currently in my planner (for an end-of-March cruise) it shows kayaks (no paddleboards) as a Kayak Adventure, 1.5 hr guided kayak excursion, for $32.99 (25% off onboard prices, for whatever that's worth). So no all-day deal like with the snorkeling equipment or the beach mats. At least not ahead of time in the planner. Hope that helps!
  10. How far in advance are you trying to book? There seems to be a lot of flux right now in the tour operator industry, and these cancelations may just be a tour company going out of business. Royal does a lot of vetting to try to ensure the best experiences, so finding someone to take over a particular offering can be complex.
  11. Right now it seems to be tracking at about 45 days, but it can be ship-dependent as well.
  12. Often the app is not at full functionality until you're actually onboard. As @ChrisK2793 mentioned, as long as they show in your order history or you have your confirmation email, you're fine.
  13. We paid $50 for an hour on Spectrum, before covid. It came with snacks and waters.
  14. Welcome to the boards! You'll want to look for an antigen test, rather than a PCR test. The BINAX Now Ag Card tests are antigen.
  15. Are you talking about 1600? (I think all the other corner suites are 2-br). I saw it once, never stayed in it myself, and while it seemed tight on initial entrance, the extra view from the balcony totally made up for it. Kind of the Frank Lloyd Wright of cabins, if you know what I mean.
  16. As a baggage handler in a previous life, I can tell you it matters not at all. Most of the time you're in too much of a hurry to use the handle/wheels on a roller bag anyway.
  17. Learn something new every day. Thank you!
  18. Worst case, they say no. You can also reach out to [email protected] and ask them, too.
  19. Tell the truth... is it really "or"? Sounds wonderful! Enjoy your trip!
  20. You will have no issues with this plan. The Vancouver part meets the requirements of the PVSA. Sounds like a lovely trip!
  21. Apparently. You cannot select any sailings for her right now and actually see anything. I am on her in June and have been waiting (im)patiently...
  22. The most important reason to check in right away is so you have more choices for boarding times. You can start the check in process, pick your time, and then come back to finish when you receive your new passports, no problem!
