@dodgestang or anyone else that has done this private session, I am assuming the photos are post process/edited right?
Yes, they clean them up nicely.

I’m going on my first cruise right after thanksgiving…can you tell me more about the difference between going from the Navigator (which I realize is a bigger ship) to the Jewel? We don’t mind boring and less to do onboard because of all the excursion possibilities in Norway…but is the service the same? Food still good?
Why yes I can!

I just looked and the 7 night itineraries are only a few bucks cheaper than the 12 night arctic circle cruise…hmmm…I might be in the market for the 12 night after all!!!
You will not be sorry! (Just remember the 12-day ones are on a much smaller ship so set your expectations accordingly!)

If only I could afford the longer itineraries! I was specifically waiting for the 7-8 night one. Boo!
the Southampton ones are all 7 days!

Ah. I think I see the issue. I’m looking specifically for the fjords itinerary…and that one doesn’t have 2024 dates yet. Boo. I wonder if that means they won’t be offering that one?
ah! Any of those Arctic Circle ones will have plenty of fjords

Clear the cache on your browser, or use a different one.

No, but I want one!

So even if you do not plan to get off the ship in those specific ports, you essentially cannot book the Cruise at all?
You can book. Just be prepared to not be able to sail if the protocols don't change before your sail date.

Is wearing a tie required at the Chef's Table dinner? The description says Formal, and their site describes Formal as "suit and tie or tuxedo" for men. If hubby wears a pressed open-neck shirt, will he be turned away? Is tie (and jacket?!) REQUIRED?
You will not have an issue. My husband always wears a short sleeved linen shirt and slacks and never feels underdressed. There will be people dressed up, but not everyone will be. Enjoy!

My closed loop cruise (Miami to Bahamas to Miami) on Royal Caribbean is coming up next week and I was planning to use my birth certificate and Florida drivers license for my documents. I have a “Consular report of birth abroad” which as far as I've researched acts like a normal birth certificate. From their website, the only mention of a CRBA is saying an under 16 minor can use it but nothing about someone over 18. Has anyone here traveled on a closed loop Cruise using a Drivers license and Consular Report of Birth Abroad? I have called the cruise line 3 times and each support agent said it is acceptable, but I am still feeling nervous because I haven't seen anyone say from experience they have used it.Thank you I really appreciate the response!
It acts just like a birth certificate, as long as it is the original or a certified copy (just like you need with a standard birth certificate).

As a territory of the United States, Puerto Rico's 3.2 million residents are U.S. citizens. However, while subject to U.S. federal laws, island-based Puerto Ricans can't vote in presidential elections and lack voting representation in Congress. As a U.S. territory, it is neither a state nor an independent country.
Yes, but it is located in the Caribbean. Therefore covered by the statement.

Ha. Anthem. You can tell I’m new around these parts
No worries. Royal should make sure all the ship names start with a different letter. Just to make is less confusing!
You are correct, the Doghouse is just meat-based offerings, as far as I know.
You will have no trouble getting veggie burgers in the Windjammer. There might be one on the room service menu too. Also, there is always a vegan menu in the Main Dining Room that you can ask for!

Does anyone know if there are any restaurants serving vegan or veggie burgers on AOTS? Seems like an Impossible burger would be pretty easy to do these days
we have the UDP so anywhere is up for consideration.
I assume the hotdog joint is an animal sausage only affair?
Adventure, Allure, or Anthem?

Yes, because it says "US and Caribbean"

Ben Gurion is a big airport that all the major lines service. For me, I'd go United on that crazy-long flight from TLV to San Fransico in business class (and then the short hop up to Seattle), but that's mostly because I tend to collect UA miles.
As for a bit more luxe experience, I enjoy long-haul flight on KLM or Air France. Pretty much any non-US carrier (that isn't a discount airline) is going to give you a nicer time. IMO.
If you want really fancy, fly from TLV to Dubai and then hop on Emirates to Seattle!

I have sailed to Alaska three times, twice with HAL and once with Royal, all pre-pandemic.
HAL is going to give you a much more intimate ship experience. It will more directly compare to sailing to Alaska on a Vision or Radiance class ship as far as size goes, and that only with HAL's largest ships.
While I think the demographic of folks choosing an Alaska cruise skews older than the Caribbean, I feel like the average age on HAL was higher than Royal. It will definitely impact the energy at the activities.
If you enjoy some of the more "classic" things about cruising, such as dressing up for formal night, you might enjoy the HAL cruise.

Thanks for the reply. How much is it for lunch usually?
Pre-covid it ran $22-$26, depending on the ship. I haven't seen a price lately. But it is usually a few dollars less than Chops.
-
Pretty much always on sea days, sometimes on port days. It may or may not be used one day for the Taste of Royal as well.
I have only once ever seen Giovanni's open for purchase ahead in the Cruise Planner at lunchtime, so it is not unusual for it to not be listed.

Yes, although they might sometimes ask if you want to use it. But mostly you're responsible for making sure it gets used.
Yes, same as beer. I've used my coupon for one before.
