I wanted to share with everyone an email that I sent to Matt last night ...... the more I thought about it, the more I felt this should be shared with everyone.... I owe all of you soooo much as my cruise is fast approaching ......
 
I mentioned a few people in the email to him, but it really belongs to ALL of you, oh, and klaconqueso, I just went with kla, it's all I could remember....lol

As I just made my payment for our drink packages for my wife and I, I sat back and thought how amazing it is that I "feel" like a seasoned cruiser, even though I only have my third one booked (first one since 2009).  

And the reason for that is YOU.  I started to learn about the do's and don'ts from your podcasts (I still say #71 is your best ever, at least it's the one I learned the most from).  Then came the message board on the blog and Periscope.  Thanks to you, I've made many connections (Rich Triplitt, Tim (Yorkvillain), CruisingKat, Kla, and the ever entertaining, Michael Poole -- oh, and let's not forget Billy scoping the ships leaving Lauderdale.  

You, and the rest of the crew, have taught me and given me the knowledge & confidence to be able to book my upcoming cruise and avoid any unnecessary surprises.  

This will be my wife's first cruise, and being able to avoid any headaches has been paramount.  I want her to fall in love with cruising the way we all have.  We're already looking to book another one while on board for Spring 2018 (of course, if a certain someone announces a group cruise during that time, that may help in the decision as to what cruise we choose)

Again, thank You, and thank you to all the others for making me feel like a member of the RCLblog family.

p.s. I think I'm going to try my hand at Scoping while on Grandeur in September.  I'll try to be as entertaining as Tim (Yorkvillain) was and as informative as Rich was.  That is, unless the Mrs says otherwise... Lol, we'll see, I'll keep you posted.

That sucks that you had poor Service. They should always provide excellent service, especially with a all inclusive resort.
We had a great time at Mr Sancho's!!!
The Service was Great at Mr Sancho's, but the Wifi there was Bad as well. I think I managed to scope for just a few mins.
Might be a area problem, not sure if others have had success with the Wifi in these locations.

I agree with you Wilson, I have a four day on Enchantment in February that has gone up $300, a 7 day Alaskan on Explorer in May that has gone over $1000 and a 8 day Freedom that I only booked 4 weeks ago that has gone up over $100. I am waiting for the WOW sale to see if I can do better on the May and December cruises.

In Oct 2020 we celebrate 20 years and are hoping to do a Mediterranean cruise and land based vacation.

I can't guarantee I'll save room but I can guarantee that I'll cram dessert in regardless!  ;)

I jumped on it as soon as it became available for our Nov Liberty cruise. I was having RCblog Periscope withdrawals during our April cruise. I GOTSTA have my dose of daily cruise chat. :)

All you need to do is post the ship, sailing date, stateroom category and price.  Be sure to include any pertinent details.

On Friday Karen (internetwhiz on CC) Scoped from Liberty/Cozumel that Tidal Wave should finally be operational for the 02/28 cruise. She is on a b2b so we will have confirmation tomorrow.

Most of the Wealth Channel cruise ship programs are at least 3 years old.  Be nice to have more recent programs.

Tidal Wave is open on the Liberty of the Seas today.  Fully operational.  We will see

I feel like there might be some miscommunication and I apologize for that.

I will add my two cents.
 
The number one reason to book with the group is to support Royal Caribbean Blog.  Supporting our sponsors in turn supports the blog and it gives our group as a whole more "buying power" with RC.
 
While you are right that a majority of events are still open, I will use Allure of the Seas as an example. On that group cruise, folks in the group received

Just Booked today! We'll be in a Board Walk Balcony. 

Having stayed solo in a virtual balcony on Quantum, I can say it is a great experience!

She's everything we hoped for.... A few minor glitches today, but nothing that isn't to be expected for the first passenger cruise.

Mrs Jares we were on the same cruise in April. I went by Cupcakes everyday just to glare at the Red Velvet cupcakes. Never had one, but boy did I want to.
