I wonder if they can / would restrict health care workers? We technically have a higher chance of being in contact with a positive person. Do we ask to be reassigned 2 weeks before sailing and attempt to not come in contact with a positive patient? That aspect worries me.

It's a concern for us for sure ( here in quebec canada). We have a lot of cases here but hoping things start to start slowly running again in about a month if we keep up our social distancing. Another fear for me is possible mandatory 14 day quarantines for anyone travelling. Worried they make us do it in the future. It's not so easy turning a 1 week vacation into 3.

If it a guess you want....I think it's a vacation on land. Late august earliest is maybe is my best guess. Feel like they will make damn sure not to go back too soon and risk taking steps back and having to stop again. And when they do sail again it will be limited sailings with limited guests I think. Until they know it's ok. But I know nothing...just an assumption.

I think it's for the best anyways. I feel if they go back too fast there is a high change of 1 step forward and 3 steps back. Meaning possibly another break.

I'm of the type who wants to go once it's up and running ( after a small grace period to make sure they dont take 3 steps back). But my husband does keep mentioning what scares him is being quarantined because 1 person is sick of 6000 passengers. Juat want this all to be over. Work in healthcare and I'm getting more depressed by the day...

Being excited! Seems hard to get excited even about a cruise at the end of the year with all that's going on. So much unknown. And I'm the best planner!!! Lol

Although we are definitely sending hope that everyone is ok....its inevitable at this point. Its popping up everywhere.

I think for sure some things will change but think that the tourism will need us to travel!!! I'm sure ports will open and welcome cruisers as soon as they can safely

What is everyone favorite floor to stay on oasis class ships, specifically staying in an ocean view balcony. We have been on 12 which was great and easy access to the pool, but I've been juggling the idea of 8. Easy access to promenade etc, and getting to walk through central park pretty much all the time seems like a great bonus. Any thoughts???

I'm happy they finally did it. We all knew it wasnt gonna happen by April. Might as well do it as early as possible so people can adjust their expectations and / or schedules.

Wowsa... that's a lot of time at home with our kids....love them to death but they are exhausting! If our kids cant go to school, there is no way we will be allowed to travel IMO. When do they normally finish? We go all the way till end of june.

In quebec Canada we have had our kids out of school for 2 weeks and at least another 5 more weeks to go. As healthcare workers we have also been asked not to travel till at least the (end) summer. Oh...and the borders are closed...lol. Everything but essential services open. And they want to start giving fines to people for social gathering over 2 people... Oy... I need a cruise...

My positive thought.. we had to cancel our easter cruise on harmony. However looking to reschedule to dec where family will be able to join, and I will be celebrating my 8 year cancer free anniversary on board!

I'm certainly not trying to start a fight, but I'm interested at when people think we are likely to be able to resume cruise vacations?? ( and please everyone remember this is just peoples opinions or guesses....stay nice! Lol)

Our government has asked all health care workers to avoid international travel.... that's both my husband and I. Didnt have much of a choice to cancel.

Even if I think its total overkill...how do you not cancel if you are told that??? So annoying.

That's my feeling. Places like china, italy, etc are level 3. Havent seen anything like that officially about cruises...

And touching the same hand rail in any ride which changes passengers every 3 min. A ship is disinfected countless times a day....all this to say... I'm annoyed! Lol

It's frustrating because they have such negatives to say about cruising. Yet if we were going to disney for the week I feel like they would think too much about it.

May I ask how her dept feels about her going on a cruise? Have they mentioned anything about not being able to work after? We are in quebec canada. And as of right now we only have 3 /4 confirmed cases.

I know everyone makes their own decision but interested what people sailing mid april are thinking. I really have no fear of getting it but the quarantine idea scares me. And worrying my daughters school maybe gets freaked out when we come back and force her to quarantine. And I dont look forward to the judgemental looks from friends or coworkers. It's just a flu...and I'm a healthcare worker watching our hospital turn to panic mode and im still not worried. I got H1N1 when it went around and am very much here to tell the tale. Everyone on the ships say it's totally fine and I trust that....just wish it fixed itself. Like either cancel them all or continue with business as usual.

Me too! My poor 4 year old spent the whole time saying it's too hot mommy!
