Those are my exact calculations in my head of at what price point would I buy it.  Mine came available at $31.99 which if there is a 20% off sale it would be  $25.60 or if a 30% off sale it would be  $22.40. At either of those price points I would think about it because I am going to get Voom for one device anyways, and that is $111, so subtract that and my price is in the mid $200's and I could live with that.
I have had The Key once so far, and I loved the perks, but there are price points I find palatable and others not so much. At $31.99PP it is not a value to me.

I'm not how true this theory is but maybe they're trying to recoup some of the money they 'lost' (i.e. their lost margin) from the $18 drink package debacle.

I'm seeing this as well @AlexWinters. Started a separate thread on it in the main Discussion forum. Looks like Royal has decided to raise the on-board price of the package by a sizable margin for reasons unknown, unless this is a new (and far less-favorable) "intern glitch".

I messaged them yesterday and was told the Key would appear 60-90 days before sailing. An hour later it was on my planner (250+ days out).  It's listed at $31.99. I paid 19.99 for an Oasis Class 7 night last May. This is a 12 night on a Voyager class...no way we will pay more than 24.99 for it.
It used to be that the facebook messenger group was very reliable. Lately it seems like they use stock answers whether or not it's applicable to your situation. Very unfortunate.

We are still waiting for The Key to show up for our February 16, 2020 cruise - I was hoping to get it at $19.99 but anything more than $24.99 doesn't seem worth it to me! The $31.99 and $37.99 price tags listed above seem ridiculous. But then again I suppose it's all about supply and demand. Hopefully no one buys it at those price points so the price drops.

Loved following along - awesome pictures and updates, thanks for sharing! My girlfriend and I are going on the Allure in Feb 2020 and are so excited as it's our first cruise!!

If I tip the room steward at the beginning of my cruise do you think there is any chance of getting a couple of bath robes or are these only available to certain cruisers? My girlfriend and I are in an ocean-view balcony room on the Allure Feb 2020.

Still cant get over the fact that I paid 23.90 per day (Canadian) !!! So I break even after 3 beers or 2 cocktails. Not too shabby ?

I just noticed for my sailing it's usually 75.81 CAD a day and it was just posted for 23.94 a day (so we booked it). Will RC honour this if it was some sort of error on their end?  Has anyone ever encountered something like this before?

I see many people and I am one of them just put what they want on their plate and then cover their meal with another clean plate while they bring it back to their room.  Works out fine, no dirty looks and you can enjoy your full breakfast on the balcony without the commotion of finding a seat I'm the windjammer

Those people may still complain even after jumping on the drink plan. No matter what, cruising is still the best vacation value!

Amazing what a small tip will do. A roving pool bartender on Adventure was delivering us a pinata colada in the cut out pineapple. I gave him $1 for each one. He thanked us by taking out a bottle of rum and probably poured 1/4 of the bottle into our 2 drinks. Strongest pina colada we ever had.
