  1. I have never experienced anything less than excellent food in the MDR or any of the dining venues. We have always been very appreciative of the quality of the food provided and haven’t had anything that wasn’t good or even great. Hopefully what you experienced was a one time occurrence. Happy Cruising.
  2. Yes I have, thanks. Happy Cruising all ?
  3. Specialty restaurants that vegetarians can actually eat at to be more accommodating. Was disappointed to see menus for Symphony where there is only one restaurant, Jaimes, that has options for vegetarians. All of the other specialty restaurants don’t have any options or are very limited. Then people that travel with people that don’t eat meat or seafood could try out other places like Wonderland or CP 150. Was looking forward to trying one of these until I saw that the menu didn’t really have options for my vegetarian travel companion. Would love for this to change to how MDR is where there is a vegetarian option for each course.
  4. It depends. I’m on symphony still over 200 days out and it just became available. So it might open up for your soon. Just got to keep checking.
  5. Do all of the cabanas have a full ocean front view of just some of them? It’s kind of hard to tell. Thanks.
  6. Thanks for posting these. Disappointed that they are still so limited with the drink menus. I miss the old ones that had many pages especially of tropical frozen drinks to have more variety of what you can get like blue Hawaiians and lava flows. Maybe one day they would return to this ?
  7. Has anyone had any experience in doing Habachi with people who don’t eat meat or seafood? Thanks
  8. There used to be really great drink menus that had lots of frozen options listed. However now the menus are very limited only like 2 or 3 frozen drinks are listed. So you kind of have to know what you want to order and hopefully they will have it. But they are good ?
  9. What? Do you now have to have cash to use the casino? I haven’t cruised in RCL in a couple of years. Is this some new thing? You can no longer use your seapass? Thanks
  10. Depends on what you like. I tend to stick with red wine, as I’m part of a wine making family that loves wine or a cocktail like a cosmopolitan.
  11. It’s a pina colada with flavoring swirled in like strawberry or mango. Tasty.
  12. Miami Vice, Blue Hawaiian. Two great frozen drinks. Lava flow another tasty frozen drink.
  13. I would never go anytime apart from MTD. I dislike traditional dining seating especially when traveling with a small group when you are forced to share a table with strangers, which makes us very uncomfortable. MTD is great because you can select what time for each day and be flexible. And you can get a table for whatever size you need and you aren’t forced to eat with strangers.
  14. Personally I would purchase the key unless the price drops below $10 per person per day because in my opinion the benefits don’t outweigh the cost at 20/pp/day. Others may feel differently though. But for myself I can’t imagine ever spending that much money on those limited benefits. But to each their own.
  15. What sort of success have you had on specialty restaurants where there is no vegetarian option listed on their menu? Any specific places that were accommodating? Thanks
  16. Do they a vegetarian option for the entree? Thanks
  17. Yes totally get it from that point. If you have younger than collage age children then yes this might make the money worth it if they would enjoy those types of activities. None of us kids in our family ever did any of them so I can’t relate, lol. But some kids do like them, so something to consider if that’s your situation. Good luck ?
  18. I very much am in the area of it not being worth it. The only thing I would actually use of the benefits is the reserved seating and internet. We don’t use any of the activity type things. So 280 for two people to use internet, when we can share internet for 130 instead, isn’t worth it for me. Some people will however pay whatever to get priority boarding or reserved seating so they don’t have to wait in line. For me personally that’s not worth the extra money. If it was half the price, then I would consider it. But not for 280. That’s quite expensive for just skipping lines. But just my viewpoint.
  19. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting from Crown Bay to the town? Will be on Symphony so looks like it will dock at Crownn bay instead. Are there alternatives to taking cabs? Thanks
  20. I would vote for Jaimes. Can’t go wrong with a nice Italian place. The issue with wonderland is that their menu is so limited that unless you will eat anything and have no dietary restrictions such as being a vegetarian. For example, I wanted to try wonderland because we are pretty adventurous eaters but my traveling partner is a vegetarian so she can’t eat at Wonderland because they don’t have anything on the menu for her, which is a big disappointment.
  21. You should receive your tickets onboard if you booked the excursions through RCL. The tickets will have meeting location information on it and what time to meet.
  22. You can. But you might be too far out to be able to book them yet. Sometimes you can’t book until maybe as late as 30 days from what I have heard.
  23. For tipping depends on your preference. I hardly ever tip porters as we just carry stuff ourselves and then for disembark we do the self carry off so we don’t have to wait. So I don’t personally carry cash around for tipping. But I will carry a couple 20s for any shopping that we do in port where the shops might for some reason not accept credit cards, but I try to use CC or debit cards for everything. Personally I carry about maybe 100 in cash for a week cruise but that’s just me.
  24. Yes they have WiFi available for purchase through packages that you can use for personal and or medical reasons. Depending on how much internet you all use there are many packages to choose from. They aren’t free so so consider how fast and how many devices you need connected at once. Please be aware that this isn’t free and that like others you will need to pay for it. I don’t believe that they have a way around this just for a medical device but I always get internet no matter what to stay connected to work so I’m not sure. Perhaps someone else know more. Thanks
