  1. I thought mine had showed Inside above my #GTY. I got my assignment way before expected, so I can't confirm anymore.
  2. Through the Cruise Planner. You just schedule your time by adding it to your cart. You won't be charged anything.
  3. Right now go and look up flights about a month out, two months out, three months out and six months out to get an idea of what pricing it. Google Flights is actually a pretty good tool for this because you can use their price graph feature to slide the dates along and visually see where prices might dip. That can give you an idea of how far out the cheapest prices area and you can see the trends for prices spiking for holidays. It also gives you an idea of what prices CAN be so you can keep an eye on them.
  4. Bookmark Royal's Going, Going, Gone page..they sometimes have great deals: http://www.creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/Multi_Dest/Special_Offers/rci_sales_event.pdf
  5. If you don't want to have a set dining time, then you should try to get switched to My Time Dining. That's the main difference between the two -- late dining is going to be an inflexible 8:00pm-8:30pm (depending on the ship/sailing) whereas My Time Dining will allow you to make reservations anytime during the restaurant's open dining hours or you can just walk up when you are ready to eat and be seated (or wait if it's busy).
  6. I want to say that it is around 15.99 for the onboard price -- definitely cheaper to purchase in advance.
  7. Wonderland has been included with any dining package that I've seen. It's usually the Izumi hibachi that isn't included; and definitely not Chef's Table.
  8. Hooray for beer!! https://tenemu.com/news/funky-buddha-royal-caribbean-collaborate-on-chilla-thrilla/09/2019
  9. Don't expect the main dining menus to be accurate, though..especially for our Thanksgiving sailing.
  10. Haha it looks like it..everytime they have two cruise ships on their schedule one is "Docked" and one is "Anchor".
  11. St. John's has three cruise ship berths. It's pretty large in comparison to Sydney from what I can tell from both cruise ports' websites.
  12. https://www.pc.gc.ca/en/lhn-nhs/ns/halifax/visit/heures-hours-accessibilit The Citadel opens at 9am. https://www.garrisonbrewing.com/ - Garrison Brewing right at the port opens at 10am. Halifax Public Gardens opens up at 7am. You're going July 15, 2020? Halifax Gay Pride Festival is going on that week..and there's a summer craft fair in Victoria Park.
  13. I know I commented to you over in FB-land, but I don't think I mentioned there that we rented a car in St. John's. We wanted to go out to the St. Martins sea caves and aren't really fans of the bus tours. It's a bit of a drive out to the sea caves, but there is a car rental place a block from where the ship docks. They even let you return the car after hours with a key drop box. Having a car rental made it easy for us to visit the sea caves and the reversing falls and gave us time to explore the area immediately by the port. If you do the design your own tour in Bar Harbor, I would recommend hitting Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park first thing to beat the rush. It's a one-way road up and down the mountain and parking at the top/overlook area is limited. We used At Your Service Tours for a private tour (https://www.atyourservicetours.net/tours/) and it was a great, comfortable experience. Bar Harbor will be the only tender port. Other than Boston, all of these ports had shopping and restaurants within blocks of the port so if you're into browsing little local stores, plan some time for that. Halifax and St. John's even route you through a little shopping area to get on/off the ship.
  14. Photo packages probably aren't available for pre-purchase on your sailing yet. I see it's an Alaska cruise, so you likely aren't sailing until the middle of next year, so keep checking! My June 2020 Alaska cruise doesn't have it as an option yet either. In fact, I checked all my upcoming cruise and the only one that has picture package for purchase right now is my Thanksgiving one for this year (under 50 days out). Even my NYE one (under 90 days out) doesn't have the photo package yet.
  15. The Starbucks branded kiosks are not included. Typically a kiosk is considered a standalone operation such as the one in the middle of the Promenade on Symphony. Some of the Starbucks locations on the ships are actual in a shop front, but they are branded as Starbucks and aren't included either (Harmony and Mariner for example). The only place where you can get Starbucks included with the DBP is on the ships that use the Starbucks brand coffee in their coffee shops. These locations are not labeled as Starbucks on the deck plans but rather whatever Royal is calling the coffee shop on that ship. For example Anthem of the Seas had specialty coffee in La Patisserie and it was Starbucks items, but the entire shop was not branded as a Starbucks. So on Anthem the Starbucks drinks were included in the UDP.
  16. I prefer to do the same as @MotleyCruiser when dealing with rental cars. I drop off my party and the luggage at the port and then return the car. I would hop the shuttle back or if impatience wins out just take an Uber/Lyft back to the port. Same in reverse when getting off the ship.
  17. Yes. There will be rows and rows of seating in the terminal if you have to wait along with restroom access.
  18. My Time Dining is like dining at a typical restaurant on land. You can make a reservation ahead of time or you can just walk up and get seated as seating is available. Most of My Time Dining is set up for individual families. However if you want to be seated with others you can always ask.
  19. If you are taking multiple pieces of luggage, I suggest crosspacking. Make sure each person in your party has a couple complete outfits in each piece of luggage. That way if one goes missing, no one goes completely without.
  20. I don't follow Carnival so I have no clue what the capacities are, but Panorama is all over the Mazatlan schedule for 2021.
  21. We brought them back on the ship with no issues. We also brought back donuts from The Holy Donut in Portland, Maine. And a live lobster back from Bar Harbor, Maine (kidding..kidding!) The only time we had an issue was in Cozumel with some pastries we had purchased at the supermarket that were in a brown paper bag. The cannolis were not that great after sitting around after a day, though. Much better the day you buy them.
  22. If you like Indian food, they usually will have a couple of off-menu Indian dishes. They also may have vegan selections, but you would have to ask as the whole fleet hasn't rolled out that menu that I've seen. There also might be a cold soup they can offer. You can also order a side that comes with another entree without getting the entree portion. I know we've requested steamed vegetables before or baked potatoes with no issues. Savory bites are an old favorite from the bread basket that they no longer offer, but they will get some for you if you request them.
