I got $10.79 for the President's Cruise and $11.99 for a T/A.  Both were purchased on the same sale.  Pretty safe bet to buy now.

There isn't an option for what you're asking.  When you purchase a RC internet plan, you buy a per-device plan.
If you concern is your fitbit, it will sync up later when you get connected on public wifi on shore or back at home.

Ditto.  I travel with Downy wrinkle release.  I'm also a big advocate of rolling.  For the nicer clothes, I've found if you stack them, then roll them all together (like a burrito), you don't get any wrinkles at all.  It's also a more compact way to pack.  I can get so much more in my suitcase when I roll clothes.

Agreed @Tim B. Looks exciting to me ? I'll be watching for it. I'm also looking for some of those new Cuba ports @twangster was talking about- Havana is the current stop but it looks like Cienfuegos and Santiago are coming on line soon! The email was interesting to me as it said 5 cities you've never been to but include St Maarteen and San Juan which are pretty frequent stops from what I've seen. I get that Havana is new and defiantly makes the list of places many haven't been and Curaco I don't see to much chatter about.

Same prices we saw on the Allure in March.  We only used the pressings for one formal night dinner and everything came back on time and in great shape, wrinkle free.  The rest of the time we just used the "hang it up in the bathroom during a shower" trick and everything turned out fine.  I roll my clothes rather than folding them and it makes a big difference in both space-efficiency in the suitcase and minimizing wrinkles.
We really didn't miss having access to an iron.

Keep in mind once on board you can purchase the cheaper 'Surf' only plan.  It's slower but for checking email, texting and if your phone supports wifi calling it sometimes works on the basic Surf plan as well.  Typically only 'Surf and Stream' is offered before sailing.
Both are offered once on board on a pro-rated basis for days remaining in the cruise or by the day (24 hour pass).  I often wait until day 2 since I've got cell phone coverage for most of day 1.

The problem with getting insurance from the cruise line is they compensate with Future Cruise Credit which has it's own set of terms and conditions.  You want a policy that compensates with cash and can cover the entire trip (home to home).  I know it is unlikely to happen but you never know, cruise line's trip insurance will not reimburse you if they go bankrupt whereas most other policies will.  Make sure you read the policy wording before purchasing to ensure it is the correct insurance coverage for your needs.

carpe diem -    in the majority of ports, these "authentic" cubans will be very over priced and questionable at best unless he is aware of the subtle nuances to tell a fake from a legit.   i'd be more than happy to share (offline) my overseas sources that are without question, legit Cuban cigar distributors.   That being said,  up until the past 10-15 years,  quality of true cubans has rapidly declined as they became more readily available through mass production.   I used to be a huge fan but now i've found so many more non-cuban cigars that are leaps and bounds much better than the current  stock thats out in the market place unless you can find an aged box going back before the cigar "boom" period.    I digress, as this is one of my passions (current stash is well over 2000+ cigars)  and i could ramble on for hours.   In short, when i buy them,  I never buy them at port for reasons mentioned above.   Majority of mine come in from Switzerland via Cuba at a near domestic cigar prices ($6 - $9 a stick)   legit, better quality,  properly maintained and best of all, much more reasonable priced.   more than happy to share my connections and he can see for himself.

I want to thank all of you for your prayers, well wishes, thoughts and concerns, I really appreciate it.  The hurricane is over and GONE! It was rough for a couple of days. It started raining hard with high winds Thursday 9/13 and we lost power that evening. The winds picked up all day as well as the rain. Friday was pretty much the same, high winds, rain and crap flying all over the place outside. Saturday the wind and rain subsided and I could get outside and start cleaning up. Today (Sunday) very little wind and no rain, clean up continued and will do so for a few more days (my lot is almost an acre with many trees). Power came on about 4:00 pm, YEAH! I was getting tired of those cold showers and warm beer! Had some damage to about 40% of my roofing shingles, so a new roof is in order. Have already contacted a roofer and my insurance folks.
We have been through a lot of hurricanes, but this was the worst. The folks that live downtown New Bern got hid really hard. This was just a small tRjacaste of what the folks in New Orleans, Texas and San Juan experienced. Just glad it is over!
    Thanks again folks, greatly appreciated.

We used Rome Private Excursions for three ports last June: La Spezia to Pisa/Florence, Naples to Positano/Pompeii and Civitavecchia to Rome.  Excellent experiences all around on our timeline and flexibility, would definitely recommend.  One thing I will say about booking privately (not with RC) is to check reviews on other websites here, Trip Advisor, etc.  These private companies know one miss posted on social media would be the death of their business, they take that extremely seriously!

I've done non-Royal tours and saved a lot of cash over the years.  Missing the ship is low probability, but severe effect - especially where there will be some sea days after your excursion.
If the problem is a traffic jam , chances are that the Royal excursion contractors will be  sitting in traffic also (the odds of this decrease if your excursion isn't also offered by Royal).
But 2 years ago some friends had an experience that makes me lean toward paying the "Royal Tax" and booking through the ship.  We were on a T/A that made stops in the Caribbean before the leg to Southampton.  Our last port before a string of sea days was St. Maarten.  Friends took the double decker bus tour around the island.  They were returning to the ship and saw police and an ambulance responding in the other direction.  A couple of minutes later, more police and fire equipment.  Then the bus slowed to a stop and sat there.  Yes, it had leaked out all the oil onto the roadway and caused a string of traffic collisions before seizing up.  It took over three hours before the tour company could get buses out to return the folks on tour (partly because they were located behind the crashes and ensuing traffic jam).
The ship patiently waited.  Friends might have spent an extra $25 a person, but spending at least one night on the island, missing the rest of the cruise, and paying walk-up rates for  1 way international tickets home would run more than that. (Though travel insurance might have helped out).
If you take private tours, be sure to take your passport, credit card and local port contact # for the ship.  And if you buy travel insurance, check the policy before buying to see how it handles this situation.

Let's face it, if your browser renders Google/Gmail, Amazon, and other sites in your Favorites, the problem isn't your browser - it's Royal.  Their contractor delivered an unusable site and we're jumping through hoops to adapt to it.
Royal understands $$.  If you try to book something through their site and it doesn't work, call Royal.  Let them know you've tried the site and it failed, so you need to complete the transaction over the phone.  It costs money to hire call center personnel through an agency, even in Belize or Manila.  A lot more than having a working website.
If Royal figures out that their customer support costs are spiking and the commonality in the calls is that customers say that they tried to do it on the site first, (teleworkers transcribe quite a bit of your conversation), they'll have a choice - either fix the site or hire more workers.

If I'm understanding the way the wi-fi sharing on the S9+ is working, then the S9+ is essentially becoming a portable travel router and would behave no differently than any other travel router used per @twangster's earlier instructions on that thread. So the only risk at that point would be if Royal is starting to crack down on travel routers in general and taking active steps to block them or detect their use.
I do think that trying to use it in that way for large photo uploads is going to be problematic, even on a ship with the faster VOOM. I can't tell you the number of times I tried posting to my live blog from the ship, just with a bunch of reduced-size photos, and the connection died on me and my entire post ended up lost. If you can bring a laptop, I'd seriously advise just doing that, putting the photos on there and making your edits (including copies at smaller size for easier transmission), then logging onto VOOM with the laptop and uploading from there. At least then if something goes wrong, you have an easier time re-doing the upload from the laptop than from the camera's controls.

If you've confirmed that the sharing works with a captive portal, you're good to go.  I shared my logon code with cabinmates.  The worst that ever happened is that one of us either couldn't log on, or were logged off.  I've never been hit with a double charge even though both of us were trying to log onto the RCI portal at once with different devices.
Your 5D would only try to access your phone, not the public RCI site, so there's no way it could even know you'd be using a middleman.  Royal isn't about punishing anyone for using their service.
JLM is right on. Just because you can use the smartphone doesn't mean it's the best solution.  Being able to process your work and upload just the best photos on Voom allows editorial decisions, initial backup (Secondary too if you bring USB drives) and not just bulk uploading.  The laptop adds a lot of value in my opinion.

Thanks for the response, But you should not have to keep cleaning your computer cache every time you want to do something on your account.  No other website, bank, store, cruise liner that I've used has this kind of issue.  If it were one person having an issue then computer issue.. but reading forum.... website issue.  Heck you have call just to get an email to see your cruise order info..this should be on your account info online,  just one example .

When we landed in Barcelona I installed the European sim card in my phone & I was good to go. It included 10 GB data in 4G/LTE, 120 minutes talk time, 1,000 texts.
