For the most part I agree. The only time I really ordered room service for coffee was when we were on the Radiance sailing the inside passage. It was great to sit on the balcony and sip my coffee watching the scenery go by. 
IMHO if you're going to Alaska the Radiance class ships are the best way to go. Views everywhere on the ship.

Ahhh, but to have room service deliver fresh coffee and croissants/rolls first thing in the morning (you decide when) and then enjoy them on your balcony on  cruise days in your pj's.....nothing better.

I've always just taken my weekly organizer too but great idea to take a pic of the original bottle too! Jane

There are many of us here that use these luggage tag holders for the suitcases that the porters deliver yo your cabin: Cruise Luggage Tag Holder Zip Seal & Steel - Royal Caribbean & Celebrity Cruise. They are available on Amazon, inexpensive and very durable. Jane's idea above about the smaller rolling suitcase for your carry ons is a good idea, I usually get stuck with the super heavy backpack. 

I totally 2nd the go the first night advice.   On both cruises my teen met a bunch of  girls she hung out the whole cruise with.... even without her phone!  They would usually meet up at the teen center and rarely stayed the whole time... they would go in and out.  It was nice to have her feel like she had a "place to be ".  I know that the teen activities are often listed in the regular compass.   I haven't sailed an oasis class so I don't know if there are a lot of different activities vs what's on other ships,  but the activities were similar on the freedom and vision class. So if you find any teen compass for any ship you will get a sense of what there is to do.   Hope you all have a great trip!  Jane

Enjoy the relaxing! I'm a Disneyaholic who has been to Disney 13 times.  My kid's got lots of pics... they were built into the touring plan lol! We opened the park and closed the park (and never went back for the nap!)   I will tell you that my first sea day on vision in 2015 was one of the best days of my life.   I was on vacation and sitting in my chair with nothing else to do but read a book, wave to my teens and drink my frosty beverage.   I've never been so relaxed in my whole life.   I loved the 4 ports and excursions that gave my teens something to do, but mostly I just enjoyed enjoying the ship and the meals and the relaxation.  I have found and treasured those relaxing times on both cruises since.  Remember that you just can't do everything,  so don't worry about it and do only what you want to!   I can't wait to read all about your trip!   Jane

I get to explain what Woodstock was and what it was like! 

I have that as a button!  Of course once I had someone spot it and exclaim "Really?  You got to see xxxx, yyy, and zzzz?"  (three groups I never heard of!).  I had to explain what Fleetwood Mac, Moody Blues, Pink Floydd and others were!
 

Just being away and not planning a wedding will be awesome!   I love being on a cruise and having some days where it's me,  a book and my frosty adult beverage.... so different from my 55 hour work weeks for sure!   You have a great attitude about all the changes...i hour you have a wonderful time!!  Jane

Hi everyone, 
   I have been working and traveling and just wasn't able to really check the boards and periscopes the last few weeks.   Excited to read all the new live blogs from harmony and again get psyched for my March freedom cruise!
I still haven't purchased my excursions and drink pkg... keep hoping they will run a sale on my sailing but no luck on labor day or July 4.  I'm also waiting to see what happens with the drink pkg and if they change policy for everyone having to get it.  We will make money on mine,  lose it on the hubby.  
Since it is only a 6 day cruise, we are flying in to ft lauderdale on Saturday and will have the Saturday and part of Sunday after.   Would love hotel ideas and things to do.  The plan would be to   go less nice on the first... one where we could get to water taxis and tour/sightsee and then the last hotel more relax by the pool/beach.  I have tried to follow Irma damage but am not sure how bad the damage was in ft laud. 
Anyway, just wanted to say hi I'm back and enjoy everyone else's cruise info!  Jane

One problem with that, after that many drinks will you remember the name of the one in the pic? Unless you get really lucky after drink 1 or 2. 

ok...Now im really ranging off topic, but everything is clean,  etc? So you just lay on a bench and they do your back,  neck etc?  Ive not even done one in the states but i have lower back tightness all the time and i think it would be wonderful
 
Did you have any trouble with booking it the day of?   I didn't book it with the reservation because i was trying to figure out if i should get one!   Jane

I did a guarantee room once and it was a great choice.  While I didn't get upgraded, I was assigned my room within a couple weeks,  it had a great view and I saved a bunch of money!   Jane

Hey, I'm only 47 and just got my AARP membership card! 
Apparently, younger spouses of eligible individuals are allowed to join even if they're not yet 50 themselves.

This is my crowning achievement!

I think on a 7 night where there are many costly restaurants (harmony comes to mind), I could see it but would really have to compare it to a smaller pkg.  I'm not even considering it for the 6 much freedom cruise... it's just too much of the same food,  and savor is normally cheaper anyway.   Plus I want to do chefs table and that totally kills the uktimate pkg.   And sea day lunches are a waste because I'm usually running to the windjammer so im not hogging a seat.   Jane

I feel like for a 14 day cruise that'd be immediate food fatigue after the first few days ... that's why we spread all of our specialty dining out over 2 weeks on Allure. 

I actually did a scope on our recent Harmony cruise. The "wash your hands" video got stuck on a loop and went on and on for what seemed like hours. It stopped shortly after I started the scope.
