Meh, different stroke for different folks, I think about that when people spend $3K on cabanas or $80k for a room to sail on a new ship.
As far as the casino goes......I see value in it as it is my entertainment, most times I earn a cruise that more than covers what I spent.

A family without one? That would be mine. You really think most families have one?

Oh no, I have a large extended family with no doubt plenty of things under rocks!!😁

No DUI's in your family that you know of. You really think everyone broadcasts? Only a fool assumes they know all their families dirty little secrets.
Edit to add:
Let me also say by family I mean aunts, uncles, cousins, the works. My uncle had one when I was a kid. Wasn't talking immediate family only. Turn over enough rocks and you will find something. Trust me.
Holier than thou is a bad look.

Your 3 grandchildren were allowed in, not because they were minors, but because they were booked in a suite.

Cash it out at the casino. We had $110 left on our last cruise. Cashed it out & used it for tips on the last day.

Well then if you have any OBC left, on the last night go to the casino and charge whatever is left to your casino account, then you can cash it out as cash.

Although the number of hammered parents grabbing buckets of beer for their equally hammered underage children was appalling a few years ago. Have not noticed it as much of late so hopefully the cruise lines have cracked down on this.

You can certainly ask, but expect a no. Then be pleasantly surprised if it's a yes.

There is no such waiver anymore. Drinking ages for the entire cruise are dictated by the age limit of the home port country.

I have never even entered a hotel where they refused to hold my bags for me! I have left my bags for a few hours at plenty of hotels we had no intention of staying at!

Pooch got a reaction from Carlos A. in Advice on how to escalate RC losing my luggage. Give me all your tips!
I understand, when someone forgets an item on board, charging a shipping fee to return it. After all the passenger made the mistake. But this does not appear to be the case here. OP didn’t “forget” his bags. They were not where they were supposed to be or anywhere else that they could find. He should not be assessed a fee for mishandled bags. He didn’t mishandle them.

Very true. We had the opportunity to eat at CK last month and the entire family said no thanks. I was really surprised at the, I don’t know, haughtiness of the waiter. There was not a welcoming warm bone in his body. Really made it an off putting experience.

On the app, you need nothing to check in. The app allows you to go directly to selecting an arrival (remember it is NOT a boarding time) time. Then all other information can be entered at your leisure. On the website, you will need passport, dates of birth, addresses etc to get to selecting an arrival time. Personally I grab arrival times at midnight when check in opens up then go to bed. The rest can wait til I have the time & inclination.

The perk of MEI is being there for you when something happens. They sit on hold with RC instead of you. I email my TA & usually get an answer within 24 hours. Yes, you can use Royal Up.

Have you met the Royal app?? It can be a Royal pain. You run the very real risk of missing the exploring part with your head buried in your phone. IMHO much easier to spend 10-15 minutes booking everything with a live person, stick your phone in your pocket and then enjoy exploring the ship.
